The only name we didn't agree on was Aviendha.  He hasn't read it and he wanted to name her Clementine Aviendha.  I wanted Aviendha Clementine (he picked Clementine from Lost).  He said it wasn't fair that I got to pick her first name so I told him he was right...she could be Clementine Aviendha Tackett (my last name) or Aviendha Clementine Reynolds (his last name).

 

Turns out, he's a very reasonable guy 🤷‍♀️

Turin choose Addams Family Values, where Wednesday sets the Camp Staff on Fire, because they tried to get her group of campers to play the Native Americans in the Thanksgiving Play with the Pilgrims. (Clearly she had valid reasons for doing so)

 

Heavy Choose Hateful Eight / The Abominable Dr. Phibes, two movies I'm not familiar with.

 

DPR choose Friday the 13th (on today, the 13th). The movie about the mother who takes revenge on the Campers who stay at the Camp, because she feels they are all responsible for killing her son.

 

Darthe choose Cabin in the woods, and if you go with GK's interpretation of the events that have unfolded, then Darthe has infact, Chris Hemsworthed it into that wall. Lmao

 

Everyone else either hasn't choose a movie, or refused to choose one because they don't watch "horror movies", even though I gave everyone an out by picking any movie of any genre that takes place at a camp, or the woods.

 

IMO not answering participating says more then participating.

 

Participating, may or may not give me some indication about what your surface thoughts are regarding the game.. It may mean nothing at all.

 

It is day 1 after all. Aside from Claims, and some other random stuff, who people vote for, is probably going to get us more information for D2 then anything else.

 

Also, I haven't read any other post since my last one, so I'm sure I have some more I need to read.

This post started my negative feeling on SD for a couple of reasons.  First, the last part was very trying to take the game away for scum hunting to his cabin in the woods movie deal.  Sussing that some people chose not to participate is weird and is definitely not scum hunting.  

This is also a post that shows, what I think is a unique relationship with Teph.  The first 3 responses are to Teph.  This is the beginning of their interactions.  More on this as I hunt them down.

These all happened before the quote post I did on SD.   They were on my mind when SD opened his post with 3 response to him but no reference to these.    Teph giving me early bussing vibes and then later interactions reinforce my initial thoughts.

Peace came out of nowhere and voted me.

I'm not going to make much out of that, because I'm chill like Pete the cat dude. I'm still wondering what the motivation was. I don't think we ever got any real explanation, so I'm just biding my time hoping to read something, otherwise I'm going to start getting more sus as we get closer to EOD.

 

Heavy, I'm getting the same town vibe as last game, but he's not doing himself any favors this game. If town has a Vig, there's a possibility that town kills Heavy during night if Mafia doesn't get em first. 😛

 

As to the others I haven't mentioned? I'd say not enough info to really draw any conclusions. A lot of joke votes, no votes, and low info posts.

 

As for you? I dunno yet. IMO photo shipping wolves in my garden was pretty scummy.

AFIAK, we can sus people for any number of reasons, however logical or illogical it may seem to others. "Gut" decisions are inherently illogical, ya know?

 

You say it's not scum hunting, but I was the first player to post, and I was the one to break the Ice by asking everyones favorite horror movies that takes place in a cabin or woods. I also had the cockamaney plan to see if I couldn't use people's movies to "read" them, and find scum that way. I knew that was a long shot.

 

Unfortunately, Participation was lacking.

As contradictory as it may seem, (and life is full of wonderful contradictions) I didn't expect to catch a scum with the reads, It would have been bloody amazing if I did! (Lmao). As I said, it started as an ice breaker, the reads were secondary benefit.

The third benefit is that I might have been able to scum hunt people who jumped on those reads a little to fast. 

 

Kind of like how I kept going on about DPR and Jason's mother being the killer of all the campers in Friday the 13th.

 

No one jumped on that.

 

So there was a method to my madness when it comes to scum hunting. Though you'll probably only see madness.

 

I think the last game I played in, I kept rolling dice to see who to lynch. I think I blame Zander for that.

I feel this justification was splitting hairs over WTL's a Read Lists, etc. As was discussed slightly after this with DPR and Heavy and I. I don't know jack about Mafia acronyms, and I'm likely to forget them between games. lmao.
