No no it's not to late, the list of 20 is just the sign ups we needed to be eligible to apply for having the club...it's been sent in so just waiting for approval and we can start enjoying it...and get it set up in time for inktober and halloween..

Here's a play-around I did with silk painting, no primer (excuse the frame and the shadow at the bottom, tried to lighten it, but I was too impatient to take it off/wait for daylight to capture ?)

I'm entering my first art show this weekend. It officially starts Friday evening but the online gallery  is already available for viewing. Winners will be announced Saturday evening. 

 

I've got three pieces entered, but I've checked out the competition and I'm fairly sure I know who's going to win my category Still, I enjoy painting, and I've met some interesting people through this art league. 

 

I also managed to get website set up showing off my work, which is strange and exciting.

That is so amazing, James! Even getting into a show is prestige, and I would certainly consider that winning! And that is a nice, clean website. I'm impressed with it!

How's things comming along with the club @Lian Crescent @Liitha ? I had high hopes it would be up and running before inktober. Still when it's not... for everyone interested I'm excited to announce that lian started it on discord like last year, and it's really worth checking out and maybe add your own arts as well ????

There are some absolutely beautiful pieces here. The Reception and Awards Ceremony are this evening. I already know that I didn't win anything, but it's been a great experience. Plus I've received a few compliments about my work.
