True, but mafia wouldn't know that.  So as long as deity doesn't claim if they are passing and who they are passing to ahead of time, it should be fine.  The only one who would know if the pass failed would be the deity.

Yeah, I was thinking more mechanical downside than probable.  The odds that mafia would ever gamble fake-claiming/counter-claiming the IC in hopes they managed to remove it are basically non-existent.  But from a literal standpoint, if I pass it and it gets removed before I've revealed, I can't ever prove I was the deity.

Zander is a heavy meta player, and I basically told him exactly what to look for when reading her years ago.  He's going to use that as either alignment.  But I'm not sure his thought process would be, "I wonder if I can get Chris to scumread BFG".... I'm not going to pretend I'm super objective there, and think about like Drag Race.  People had concerns about her, and I was basically lolno.

Do you think that kind of push is specific to BFG in the sense that you don't think Zander would specifically try to get you to scum read BFG, or you don't think Zander would try to get you to subtly scum read anyone?

Re the deity most of my thoughts pre game also assumed an automatic IC reveal each day, i don't see any reason for the IC to claim except maybe near EOD

I'm talking specifically BFG.  More precisely, specifically BFG in this exact scenario.  Zander HAS tried to kind of shade people into me scumreading them in games.  I'm pretty sure he did it in that game we played last summer.  But it wasn't based on a two year old meta while the game is still very much in a fluff stage.

I think the last game Zander will have seen me play would be the one he hosted in which I was scum and basically didn't even get as far as writing the address on an envelope to mail it in ?
