Tbh this isn't the first time I've had this. I'm pretty bad out of my comfort zone (I like the challenge but at the same time go RAWR. It's just one of my many contradictions in life). At the end of the day though, I'm the only one I *know* is Town, so *shrug*

 

I did feel better in the past 24ish hours though and that's where I can look at other people, and more objectively too. The irony of this being a me post is clear, but yeah, making an effort not to do it.

 

And fwiw The "AtE" stuff I got accused of was me joking with someone about Mafia addiction. If that is a genuine accusation for AtE then as my ex-new friend who owes me $5 would say... "FML lololololololol"

I think a lot of people think "people asking questions" is villagery, like somehow what a wolf cant do is ask really simple questions ("can you explain x read?") which is hilariously silly because i think thats exactly the sort of things wolves do to fake gameplay.

 

I'm not a big universal tell guy but I'm always looking for people who A) are 'acting' like they are thinking about the game but are really only doing surface-level things and there's no real depth to their reads or background thinking ... the kind of re-evaluations and internal weighing that people naturally do when trying to 'solve a puzzle' B) are focusing on the things they tend to focus on as a villager

Like Marsh's response to the Eldrick lynch was to pop in, make a couple of HMMM post about the game mechanics, and bounce. His reads & game thoughts are super surface level. NotBob asks questions and talks very firmly like he really believes what he's saying, but I can't really point to any original thought I've seen him have so far.

 

Apologize for the tangential nature of this post but im waxing philosophical and my head is super scattered rn, deal with it

Leelou IDK. She's still floating in my null / null-to-wolf pile. More of a "usually when she's a villager I manage to townread her" thing than anything else, but she's insistent her meta is very different (and I don't disbelieve this is true) but I still don't see any real dig to her reads or thoughts. I think it's very possible her villager meta is DIFFERENT than I remember, but doesn't exclude her from being a wolf anyway. Its pretty easy for a wolf to say "you're reading me wrong bc I play different now when I'm town" and be honest about being different as a townie and still be a wolf in that particular game

Honestly... If Cory isn't town this game... Imma just be wrong believing he is. 

 

I don't know that I agree with his take on Marsh. I really need to go back and re-read the thread... I planned to do that yesterday because I was bored at work and then my boss said I could leave... so I did... and never logged back on last night because of pool and food and family and lighting stuff on fire and stuff... so... yeah.... sorry... not really sorry though >.> I thought I'd have a bit of time to catch up first thing this morning before dayend. *shrugs* 

 

BTW I'm almost always gonna wait to vote D1 until I feel really sure or until close to dayend when I have as much data as I can get. It's how I've almost always played unless MIRACULOUSLY I think I've caught scum early on which might have happened once or twice. I'm always super indecisive on D1 and it's NAI. 

 

But honestly Cory's thoughts on Not Bob are spot on from what I saw in my catch up. I noticed yesterday in my little bit of catch up I did, the majority of his posts are "wolfy" "town" while quoting a post and with no thoughts attached... and sometimes it's hard to tell if he's serious or not. I just don't know. I don't like it.

Okay:

 

I have Zander as town, 

Marsh and NB as scum.

 

Zander I've had pretty early and I think it's the one I've been most direct about. He's relaxed and engaged. It's probably a "garbage read" (if I'm using that right?) but that's it *shrug*

 

Marsh was because his vote on me was bad (not OMGUS because as I said, if anyone honestly believes "I'm addicted to mafia lol" is AtE then FML) and his Eldrick vote was worse. Not to mention pushing for him to die at all costs without actually acknowledging the thread.

 

NB is new from today (irl) because of him accusing people of being scum, and voting with those people on the wagon they were pushing. I pulled it up today when I saw it.

Leelou is way too tough to give a crap about that.  She got ousted and that's why she's abandoned ship, no energy to fight the uphill battle right off.

FWIW @Katiora the groaning response to your read list (like 4-5 people who reacted going 'Kat has nothing but null reads thats wolfy!') was one of my funniest moments for me in the game so far

 

Cos I was just sitting here like "if Kat acts like [she has a bunch of reads] this early she's definitely faking it, if she's a villager she'll lack confidence and not have much to go on"

 

Just made me have a sensible chuckle to see a bunch of people suss of that XD

I don't really do conditionals until I have actual flips to work with, but I don't have your team equity Xed out on my teamsheet or anything. Maybe less likely for you to be teamed with Marsh than EP off the top of my head. Could def see EP giving you a lot of grief as w/w, he seems like the kind of player to suss his wolfmates a lot as a wolf

I still have a v read on her; having met her irl, I know she's super hella busy, and maybe just doesn't have the time?  But that's just a personal read.  This applies to the below as well from Derf
