You could just ignore him. It's a valid strategy.

Eldrick, I'm sorry for lynching you.

I'm legitimately starting to think you catching penguin was a fluke. The way you argue is heavily weighted towards the "damned if you do, damned if you don't" approach where no matter what the target says, it fits with your original hypothesis.

but that's not true, I argued with Darthe for awhile and eventually saw the slip by Dice. I constantly argue with DPR in games because he dislikes my style since it makes me difficult to read and annoying. I argued with Eld as well, but he had to go regardless of the alignment because he stopped caring. You learn a lot from arguments, but sometimes there is something to be gained and sometimes there isn't. Based on the odds of who are left it's really between you NB and Krak. I don't really think NB or Krak are patient enough to play such a slow game as mafia so cleanly. Which leaves your on the surface from a town point of view "sloppy" play. The reason I even defended for your decision to watch AJ night 1 actually makes very little sense re-evaluating it. I forget who pointed that out, probably Dice, but we know Dice didn't know who the mafia team was. He probably believed your claim at face value. However, considering how likely it would be for AJ to draw a cop view, the mafia standpoint for the ability target is the most likely. Now, day2. watching me over all others makes sense on both sides. However latching on to the improbable Ninja idea given by Darthe makes none from a town standpoint when the obvious answer would have been Zander was targeted not me. Darthe unwittingly gave you something you could use.

I repeat myself because you DONT FREAKING LISTEN

what is there to listen about a picture of a tunnel and a picture of a person chasing geese? you're mafia. end of story.

simple truth is Mafia don't know if I'm telling the truth about my role or not. Hell I coulda made electrician up so that they wouldn't guess I was the real cop.

Cory and DPR aren't targets, if they truely are masons which is unlikely to be doubted. No one would be able to stick the accusation on either one regardless, but killing one gives a confirmed town voice to the other, both of which are strong players.

Krak and NB are also not targets as they are most susceptible to getting lynched.

Kat has been way too vague on what she does to really be a target, and hasn't really had committed reads.

AJ might be a possible target, but a good mafia player could throw the suspicion at him in a last ditch effort.

So at worst you have a 50/50 chance of picking right: ofcourse assuming you are town.

lol, that's funny, the only reason I ignored Pengu is because I KNEW he was mafia. Make of that what you will. If you were town ignoring someone who is clearly town is a very anti-town thing to do.

speaking of: @DontTrustThePenguins I only ignored you until I successfully achieved the lynch. You were distracting me from searching for your teammates. I wasn't upset or offended by you in anyway. You were actually doing a pretty good job of keeping me diverted. You handled what you had to work with very well.

Okay. Quickly caught up. Will pop in more later.

People I feel good about (in no particular order):

Dice

Wesley

Eldrick

Hallia

Zander

Everyone else I need to read more in detail.

Just a point:

Through about page 31 Leelou/Penguins distanced heavily and they have been TRing pretty much only known villagers. Obv at this point in the game (this is d1) the wolves didnt know of dice's existence so to Leelou that is a list of 5 villagers she's giving out

I think the there was a ton of distancing / bussing going on with the wolfteam this game, perhaps more than someone like AJ would abide with, and makes sense to me in the sense that the wolves were going up against Darthe, AJ, Zander, me & DPR - people who tend to push for lynches and therefore given the wolves less control -  it becomes a matter where "looking good" is really important.

Not that wolves bussing / distancing is uncommon, but I think it was a focus for them this game

true, and I don't think any of them ever considered me a threat even though I pegged two of them day 1.

ahhh...the object of my attention...why not?

because with dice flipping mafia, there is no world in which it's 2 mafia remaining.

It's gotta be Marsh.

Because it's not logical. With this set up, what are the chances of having 5 mafia and these two decide to out themselves as masons if they're scum with only one of their members dead? I just don't see it happening. I'm sorry if DPR and Cory pulled this off, then I'm just gonna have to lose. Right now, to keep sanity, I have to believe they're town.

Other's I may  not be so sure about, but them I'm 99.9% never lynching this game at this point.

follow the fire duck, nothing can go wrong. There are just too many inconsistencies with what Marsh has been saying.

Break that down for me real quick if you don't mind.... Because I've got some thoughts.

You think he's lying about looking at AJ right??

You think he's lying about looking at AJ right??

not at all. I think looking at aj was the proper mafia move if this had had standard roles like doc/cop AJ is generally known as a strong town player. He would likely draw the town attention during the night. the redirect was the key point to this. To figure out whether they caught the cop they needed to potentially sacrifice a member. At this point, Pengu was a goon which is the only reason I can think of for them burning execution day 1. if they had caught the cop, someone would have gone headfirst after Pengu AND would have shown up on Marsh's read list. Ironically, the first part did happen the second part not so much. This left the team scrambling. Pengu then distances from Marsh pretty hard and Leelou 180s her read on Pengu suddenly after I backed Pengu into a corner. Makes Leelou look less mafia and pulls Marsh out of the limelight forcing all attention on to Pengu. Pengu was a diversionary tactic that they set up to buy time.

Then it returns to Marsh so readily accepting the Ninja suggestion from Darthe. Ninja is a severly obscure role. While I know of it, I've never seen it actually put into a game.

Then there is a bit of gaming the mod. It's a low blow I know, but the information was given to me freely.
I complained about my role becoming useless when I confirmed that my role would only work on cop views. I was told that multiple roles became useless after Hallia's death. I suspect bus driver was one, and watcher the other. This brings me to the biggest tell of all that Marsh is mafia, he said he asked whether he would see bus driver's targets and claimed Songstress was evasive. Now, that did not match up with the interactions I had with Songstress, so here is completely lying.

Back to why watcher becomes useless w/o Hallia's role. The only Night action flip we've seen from mafia is bus driver. Sure we know there is a kill, but there is always a kill. Marsh already made the slip that he can't see the bus driver during his reveal. So the odds that Town has a watcher ONLY to watch for the kill is completely bizarre. the odds of catching the kill in a game like this is nearly impossible. It is more likely that it was mafia watcher as a counterpoint to town mechanics.

So either Marsh lied completely about being a Watcher or the role belongs to the Mafia team and Marsh is mafia.
