Not to mention It was Darthe and Pengu's interactions that alerted me to Pengu to begin with. Darthe pressures Pengu for awhile but backs off saying that something along the lines of Pengu being so single focused that he is starting to look town again. Had I been willing to follow Darthe off of Pengu, odds are Pengu would have coasted because I would have never had that argument with him. Highly suspect of Darthe now, even with me staying on Pengu, it is fairly well known that I have never been able to convince enough people to finish a train atleast without me being confirmed town. So I was very unlikely to actually pull off a lynch on Pengu.

I don't understand the first paragraph of this post. Could you maybe reword it?

Do you legitimately think that I... give it up to lynch one of my teammates (as valueless as Penguins is at that point) because I "gave in" when all I really would've needed was Darthe to vote Iron?

Do you legitimately think that I opposed easy townreads people were making on Penguin for being "chatty and natural" on d1 as his teammate? Maybe if you think I'm a weak, self-concerned bussy wolf, but that doesn't sound like me. Pretty sure wolf!me does everything in his power to enable Penguins, especially on d1 considering he would have been an active teammate

 

I changed my position re: Penguin/Marsh because it was starting to feeling wrong.

I also would NEVER have let my team use the executioner the way they did d1 (especially since you have to live in a world where Marsh is town if I'm a wolf). Executioner basically lets you win the game a whole day in advance of LYLO (f9 with 4 wolves left + executioner = gg),  using it to kill a claimed Oracle with another townie as a counterwagon is LOL

A lot of my problems with the Penguin wagon up until around the time he got hammered had more to do with the people on his wagon than anything (obviously was taking votes by EP/NB (at that time of his vote)/Leelou with a grain of salt)

At the stage of the game you are referring to I wasn't even aware Penguins was a major lynch candidate

First part is true. I do believe Marsh so if I’m wrong there then lolme. Call it bias since I’m the one he claimed to target but the extra wrinkle makes the whole thing believable. And that’s not even accounting for the fact he was the CW to scum D2 OR that Penguins was pretty obviously BSing on that read which I was pressing him hard for last night. Meta flash: remember in Clov’s game (which I keep referring to here amusingly) where you said in the QT that me peek on Leelou being V and then not believing it was too deep of a gambit to pull as scum? Same vein. Marsh isn’t a FPS type imo so I think if he were lying he’d just say he watched me and leave it there.

 

Thats fair. I actually liked your take on Penguins a few days ago where you said his volume wasn’t Townie because he was from PerC.

 

What felt wrong about it? I still have to read instead of getting into it with lol but still if you wanna throw out some perspective so I can evaluate for myself while I catch up I think that’d be a productive exercise

My "problem pool" at the time was Marsh/Krak/EP/AJ/Leelou/Penguins, probably in that order

 

At some point I confbiased myself into thinking Penguins was a villager based on the wagon itself (EP/you/Leelou all on it, then Marsh near the very end), I remember saying something like that to Zander. I don't really know how to explain this but the way EP & Leelou were pretty vocally arguing for penguins (and Marsh later fwiw) pretty much made me trash my reads up to that point and see where they were going with it.

I just didn't see wolves going all out to get a Penguins mislynch on d2, or at least in the fashion they did. Rarely see wolves so vocal about the lynch in general. Made me think that my head wasn't in the right place

So here's the thing. The vote I quoted showed Darthe voting in two places on day 1. This happened after him not unvoting to vote elsewhere. Then without anyone questioning it in thread the vote on Pengu went away. there three pages and nearly 2 hours with nobody questioning it in thread. Songstress edited the votecount in question 2 minutes after it happened as well, and the vote stayed. Even after the new count, the vote stayed in the original and wasn't edited out. Then when people noticed a double vote on Day 2, Darthe tried to pretend he knew nothing about being a double voter. The evidence is in the d1 thread. Pretending he didn't know he was a double voter is the point.

i also generally am uncomfortable when u vacate the thread for long bursts meta changed be damned bc it was something I noted in safari mafia & when you eventually got nuked by regy in the game where u were wolves with bfg/hallia. Darthe was egging it on
