Didnt hallia also echo dpr on his rand nudge?

It'll take a while to work back through all 9 pages, but I believe in you.

I can't respond the way i want to. :-/

So, just to recap:

You're finished with your joke-vote-scumhunt and now you're onto the Ben-slip-scumhunt. That about right?

You're like a scumhunting machine. It's impressive.

Thanks.  I'll recap, too:

- I'm poking around to see what's up and shake some trees

- You're pretty much obsessed with me again

Soooo...

You are serious about your scum accusations, or you're just "poking around"? It's hard to tell.

Lets try this again!!

Pew pew pew

Can we lynch verb now? Blindlynching him is weirdly and yet unsurprisingly arousing.

I'm on board.

[v] Verb [/v]

It's Miller time.

All jokes aside, one of these is scum.

Idk what it is, but there's something about Verbal's reaction to being voted that seems over the top to me. It almost reminds me of Zander's reactions to the slightest bit of doubt and pressure. I suppose it could be from coming off of another game just recently though.

*popcorn*

thoughts on their vote and my reaction?

I actually agree with the initial thought. It's too good of an opportunity to Lynch a (possible) townie for scum to not slip a vote in there without actually looking guilty since it was a joke by multiple people.

But it's a vote train on you, so I have to take it with a grain of salt.

If it wasn't the beginning of D1 I would agree with you.

What better time to sneak in a vote and see if enough momentum comes of it?

@Verbal: Some time(?) has passed any idea of which one is scum?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I read that 'this' is how Verbal always reacts in no uncertain terms to being voted. I think it is fallacious to say no alignment exists to someones reaction. no two games are the same. I couldn't find the quote, but it was just more of an aside. To real issue I see is the joke voting. It's silly in my opinion to assume that Verbal is going to be quicklynched. Let me put it this way:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

@Verbal were you concerned about the speed of the wagon? if so why? And what made you think of it as more than  rvs votes? You seem to be going at it with the pirate are you aware that he unvoted you? Thoughts on his unvote please and thanks.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Still catching up, jumping around here and there.

Ah, ok. I was just rushing through and catching up, not paying super close attention to who was responding to what except when quotes were used. But if you DID kill everybody, the gerbil would squeak, right? So you could potentially cover all the bases with one move.

I wasn't clear on the fact that she was having a direct convo with you. I wasn't paying that close of attention.

The timing was interesting, that's all. I don't know what is more interesting to me, though - your comment, or how both Hallia & Adella responded to it.....

;-)

She's clearly mind melding with me.

I refuse. #11 is scum.

You're entitled to your wrong opinion.

Didnt hallia also echo dpr on his rand nudge?

I was voting Rand before DPR was - I did echo his note on him though.  My joke was joking, but after DPR's post I'm leaving it there for now.

I think I have an idea which of them might be scum, yes.  And no, I'm not yet sharing with the class.

I agree with the theory on how reactions can be alignment-related.  As to the speed of the wagon, I would be concerned on another site, but not DM.  Not to say I'm a hard lynch by any means here, but on another site that DPR/Nyn/myself just played on, it is basically a mafia meme to blind and/or speed lynch me D1.  It goes back to a game where I was the Cop and came back to the thread to find out I had been speedlynched just for "lulz",  It was one of a very few instances where I went on a post-game rampage about it, and they thought it was hysterical and continue to try and rile me up to that point again (I guess I was entertaining in my outrage, lol).

So no, I was not concerned with the speed of votes - I was concerned, however, with the number of votes.  Three that quick in a game this size is not an insignificant amount, and 2/3 of the people involved play with me on that other site.  I know DPR unvoted me.  I don't have any specific thoughts on it other than it doesn't say anything more or less about what I think his alignment is.

Hi marsh

Hai!

Hey guys, just playing mafia in class, nothing to see here. Except that I'm not reading carefully at all since I'm trying to take notes on Comparative World Religions at the same time.

Short recap of what you missed in class:

Judaism, Christianity and Islam are all middle eastern religions which sprung out from each other. Christianity around year 0 and Islam around year 800.

Hinduism and Buddhism both came out of India and the areas surrounding. Buddhism grew out from the other as Siddharta Gautama was meditating under a tree and reached Nirvana.

Any questions?

Nice summary. Now just add in Jainism, Zoroastrianism, Confucianism, Shinto, Sikhism, and Taoism, and you'll have covered this class.

The beginning of D1 is the only real time to place a joke vote and get away with it.
So you really can't tell then, until people have started moving their votes.

This is true, but a train of 3 people right out of the gate is a bit suspicious, generally day 1 votes are more spread out at first. I'm definitely not going to try to Lynch anyone based on their pile onto Verb, but I absolutely agree with him that there is likely to be scum in that train.

Ugh you're town again arent you?

Spoil sport :-/

This by itself puts Nyn on my town list.
It does?

It's a tone thing, and still early in game, but right now yes it does.

For context Adella was mind melding with Verbal when he stated the thing about momentum shifting more votes on him.

You weren't done. In the second quote. Which one of the three is suspicious or are they all suspicious in general? The cog dis here: There is a scum on the train but you don't wanna lynch anyone on it? Explain further pls.

For the record I also thought that posted of Nynaee seemed town,

Posted

There were 3 people on that train and I'm not ready to Lynch any of them yet because, while it's likely imo that one is scum, that doesn't mean I know which one it is yet. I already stated that I don't think that alone is a reason to Lynch, it has just put them on my list of people to keep an eye on.

Keeping things close to the chest? If you had a town read I could maybe understand. I don't understand the logic here of keeping your scum read to yourself. The cons outweigh the pros. We can go throught them together and I can explain why you should reveal your read if you are open to discussing that topic.

I'm not sure I follow your reasoning of why 3 votes is concerning. You have a bit of a lapse in your logic as well. "Three votes that quick". It did concern you or am I wrong?

Let's say you're right, I don't see how you can object to the votes if you haven't objected to the people that voted you or called them out on their voting you. You have said the principle of the thing is what's important, so you must not have been that concerned. I feel like you're lying or are covering something up because you're concerned about how town will respond to it. Just fyi I am a sucker for the truth. And keeping your scum read to yourself isn't helping you. Work with people it's a game, gotta trust someone eventually bud.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

uhhh as an aside I would unvote Clovdyx in preparation to vote someone else except I am not sure how specifically the protocol for it. if its the same tags and just "unvote".

Fair enough. thanks for the quick reply. One of them unvoted though. Do you find the pirates reason to unvote compelling? If so you would only looking at two people correct? And you just said Nyn was town. hmmmmmmm.

I have already said that I understand DPRs reasoning and I don't hate it. I also understand why he is annoyed with this focus on who voted for Verb, because it has caused there to be zero discussion on Rand and DPRs points against him.

Nyn has me leaning town on her right now, but she is tricksy and so that could change.

But I did say I'm not willing to vote someone JUST for the verb vote, just that it's a bad look and I think 1 is likely scum. I imagine DPR can make good points on people as town or scum, and Nyn is hard to get a clear read on, so no I haven't fully eliminated either of them as scum candidate. Nyn looks the best to me so far tho.

Yes, keeping it to the chest for now.  We can go through them together and I'll explain why I should not reveal them yet, especially considering the read is fluid and it is still early.  The lecturing tone won't work on me - I'm often guilty of the same method myself, heh.

There is no lapse in logic - you are just focusing on the word "quick" when the operative word is "three".  I even bolded the word "number", so I don't see why you aren't following.

How have I not objected to the people?  I said I think one of them is scum....isn't that objecting to the person(s) voting me?  And you're putting words into my mouth about what/whether I'm concerned about - that's a lapse in logic from you, friend.  Just FYI, I'm a sucker for pouncing when people make too many assumptions.

I will trust people in this game eventually, once I have solid town reads.  Part of the reason I'm not sharing specific reads just yet is because of the way I came about obtaining them.  There may be a method to my madness.  ;-)

Pray explain please.

And yes you said 'three' and then add 'that quick' you modified the action three votes being quick ones. That was you not me or am I wrong? And so far as I can tell you haven't objectd to anyone on your wagon. Unless you want to quote one of your posts explaining who on your wagon is scum and why feel free to do that to please.

I don't think I am putting words in your mouth but okay my bad.

There were 3 people on my wagon at one point - I multiquoted them all and said that I think one of them is likely scum.  Did you happen to see that post?

I did say three quick votes yes, but I specifically explained that the operative word is "three".  At this point, you're just arguing semantics for ?? reasons, so let me know if you have a specific point you'd like to make and I'll be happy to discuss it with you.

I mean, saying one of three is scum doesn't sound like I "haven't objected to anyone on my wagon", unless you are saying me calling one of them scum is not an objection.  Please clarify so I can help complete your understanding.

That was a whole lot of words you posted, but I'm not really sure what your overall point is.  If your bottom line is you think I'm scum for ABC reasons, please list them (if you want to) and I'll respond.  If you think I'm town for XYZ reasons, then *high-five* and thanks!

Adella has a lot more meat to her posts and explains her stance in detail several times. Hallia's posts feel more hollow

Posted

I do question if adella is trying to butter me up.

I also noticed hallia was taking adella's joking about #11 being scummy with stride and then suddenly responded to it seriously. What is that about?

Posted

Also hallia... you posted "snap" after verbal's poke at ben. So one would assume you agreed with the FoS. So you still feel like rand is the most sus to you right now? How do you feel irt ben?
