The gist of it was going to be that Zander is spazzing out a bit and DPR is making some good points on game play/mechanics, even if Zander wants to every single thing because he thinks DPR is scum. 

I still hold that Zander should at least partial reveal. Most likely what he's sitting on is some sort of detail related to his role/how he can use it, but that doesn't mean he can't claim. Zander, if I were in your spot (using my role as an example), I could have said I'm Commuter, but would have waited to give the nitty gritty like I did. Soooooo, yeah.

Blue. Wrong. Its annoyed AF. You do this like EVERY freaking game and im sick of it. We have like half the game alive. Play the game the way its meant to be played and work it out. I dont believe that mass claiming everytime you hit D4 is the way the game is to be played. There are certain situations where you do that, but not EVERY DAMNED GAME!

 

Its also useless. I disagree with Ed about it being valuable. As far as we can tell we have no way to find out if a person lied about their role until they flip. The only way we had of that is now dead. The only advantage is to hold someone to their word but honestly if the mafia members are dumb enuff to claim something now and then change it later then they deserve to lose. It also stops the element of surprise. u cant suddenly jump on someone with a counter claim, catching them out.. Youve made it VERY clear u had a pr so scum would be very careful what they claimed anyway. This game its pretty obvious theyd need to claim VT. So wheres the gain then Zander? huh? Where?

I'm not scum.

 

1. Seph - Went inactive and I haven't developed any different opinion on him. Hated his early game - has recovered a bit, but now seems a little apathetic, which is a good spot to hide in. Could go either way.

 

2. Hally - At this point, it would have been appropriate for her to post that rl is keeping her from the game and to replace her. Said she would post a lot - hasn't been back. Doesn't look good. The irony will be if she's voted into the ring and suddenly appears. High probability scum.

 

3. Iron - Rode the fence like a sheep with goggles in the start. Hasn't been too active or too inactive, but is making sense with posts. If he's scum, he's playing it well. Likely town.

 

4. dice - Nothing he's said has pinged me. If he's scum, he's doing a very nice job of it. Likely town.

 

5. ed - I got no problem with his claim. Liked that he stuck his neck out for Tress. 

 

6. Zander - Makes no sense to me. His slot was viewed as a pr, but he has refused to go into any details about it. Just me here, but that's a scum move. Then he calls for a mass reveal, but doesn't lead the charge. Instead, he says he'll go last, knowing that we have a MIA player. This is not even close to town behavior. But the kicker is that Tress is dead when everybody assumed Zan was the Doc... and he still won't comment on that???  On the other hand, everybody believes him and thinks I'm scum, so there we have it. 

 

7. Me - ed's favorite.

 

 

 

I'm going with the scenario that Darthe swings, in which case we'll have:

 

 

1. Ironeyes - Seems non-committal to me. He's played this game far too long to be saying things like he needs to stop sheeping.

 

2. Seph - Need to hear his thoughts after lynch today.

3. Songstress - Claimed Watcher. Guilty on Darthe.

4. Nolder (Wildfire Sedai) - Won't read thread. Has gone for low-hanging fruit while claiming others are not game solving.Not good after Wifi's D1 - I find it very hard to believe he wouldn't want to read that.

 

5. Crusher - MIA. Tied with Hally for sleeper candidate.

 

6. Me

 

7. Dicetosser1 - Not overly helpful this game, but not blasting everything through a megaphone either. We'll see.

 

8. Hallia - Tied with Crusher for sleeper candidate.

 

9.  Ed2funy - Rode the fence and then pushed a little too hard with faulty logic.

 

 

My top 2 atm are:  Nolder & ed. Nol is my top pick here, based on Wifi's play and his lack of play.

 

Can't ignore: Hally & Crusher. Hally is my top pick here based on prior games. 

 

 

Id say lynch and tell yall. Once im gone, this is gonna get cleared up but theres no way for me to reasonably expect you to see it now.

Outside of him, id look in the quiet people and id check seph for his flips yesterday. Nol, too, he could have been current by now.

Im back and just finished a read up.

Heres everything I see:

Tress and seph both look townie to me. Yesterday Tress drew votes for basically nothing and today is the same with seph, its Cuth making a statement and half the thread following because he seems more involved. In particular, I thought seph showed up hard over the last couple of pages though it would have been good to see him respond more to DPR.

Which brings me to DPR. He is the bottom of my list rn, reason being that he yesterday mirrored cuth on me, and has continued to do so, along with a few wolfy posts and his reaction to my early joke vote.

Cuth himself, ive still got no idea where the red is coming from. We're he not so earnest about it and still spending time in other things id be very sus of him. Its a townie tunnel imo.

Rn, im cool with duking it out. I dont think that I want to with seph though. Id rather DPR.


Oh, and for reads in general,


Seph - whole package this game
Dice - the aussie is aggressive in the right way and is being weird in the right way, not quiet.
Bfg - strong presence, good questions, no pushiness that ive seen.
Marsh - your soul lays itself bare to me bruh, sorry. On the real though, his recent questions about votes and confusion should be telling.
Ed - I hesitate to put this above cuth, he could prob be lower, bit I think the sooh kill spews him and I dont have much else on him.
Cuth - tinfoil drops him, but he is playing strong.
Tress- dont really have much ti say here, she has been aight, but shouldnt have gained the traction she did yesterday imo.
Crush - whered the bacon king even go? I dont like him being quiet like this
Hally - same as above, she hasnt done anything.
Wifi - hasnt sussed me this game. Thats a big deal, because she does every other game and she hasnt been absent here.
Dpr - dudes a wolf, and there are a bunch of reasons, part mentioned above, but also I'll grab a quote above and mention that the no lynch swap once we found out we all could was telling. Cuth was never gonna die there.

 

 

 

I'm actually pretty uncomfortable with the apparently generally accepted view that one or more of Seph/Darthe/DPR(/Cuth) must be scum. Genetically most mafia don't commit that hard

Obvious problem this time is that Darthe and DPR style their play on not generic

That said I need to reread but afaict the argument stems from Darthes 'joke' vote and Sephs (and Soohs) unexplained votes. I can sort of see DPRs point that ~baseless votes are scummy, the problem is that at the time they were made there was nothing* real to base a vote on and that not enough happened afterwards to 'move on'.

DPRs posts since involve conjecture, overstatements etc, but Cuth flipping town grounds them in a possible town reaction. There was also no real attempt to save him from elimination end of day 1. Problems I have are possibly just playstyle related, I struggle somewhat with a narrative approach

I don't see Sephs vote as being scummy and overall his approach is more understandable lol. His Poe is similar, his frustration reads genuinely to me (although lolme at trying to read emotions in gameplay), eh I'll try to expand on (or at least articulate better) this later

I don't believe there is a coroner role in the game, fwiw.  From what I know about game balance, it makes no sense from a setup perspective.

 

Darthe made a convenient claim to get out of a lynch, and hasn't bothered to come back and answer legitimate questions. And as a claimed power role, he lived through the night, which kinda adds to my not believing him.

Try this tinfoil hat on for size: Darthe/Nolder/DPR mafia team, super sized with WIFOM, now with twice the gambit-y goodness.

It kinda sheds an interesting light on D3. In fact, I think I could pull quotes for dayyyyys that look fascinating in that light.

Tinfoil-y through and through, but I am tempted to toss Nolder in with DPR regardless.

I believe your head is in the right place (on top of your neck, where you left it, ldo). Of the rest of the crowd, I would say I am least confident with Seph and Hallia, then Marsh is in the middle of the pack. Ed kinda made it into my "likely town" pile with his obvious move of obviousness.

 

 

I have tinfoil on DPR in the back of my head but ive been stepping on it pretty firmly so it didnt take over. heres the thing. DPR/Darthe scum team i could buy  but im not buying him and nolder. Nolders too sharp in his responses. they feel truly annoyed. That could be cause hes caught could be cause he is town. dunno really. But i DONT think he and DPR are scum together

wrong town dice gets annoyed at you here. You did this and i got annoyed. simple. im just sick of it.

 

and i have totally whinged about mass claims. pretty much every time you do it. it may be to nyn or my daughter or something but believe me i whinge. I HATE this tactic of yours. The fact that you do it ALL the time is what ticks me off with it so much. 

 

I was nagging you for yours BECAUSE U HINTED AT A DOC ROLE AND TRESS DIED! dont be thick. you make out ure a doc type role and the main PR dies under ure watch? then EXPECT to be questionrf. EXPECT to have to justify ure actions. and if you have only hinted atp then EXPECT to have people demand you claim. Especially when YOU are the one wanting a mass claim.

 

and you better note that i wasnt the ONLY one wanting ure claim and probably not the biggest voice for it really.

I dont mind being questioned.  Ive addressed everything Ive been asked in my time.  I explained why I wanted to hold off till the end.

 

And I find it funny because youre the type of person that if youve got an issue you say it sans the tact skill set, and especially with me I find it hard to believe youd have an issue with something I do and not address with ME
