One question I see that nobody is discussing is "why would the scum team waste a janitor role on D1?" Janitor roles are typically 1x as multi-x really throws the game balance. It's possible to overcome - sure - but it would require a lot of power on the town's side.

Why wouldn't they use it on N1? There's no guarantee whoever had the janitor role lives through D2. Most 1x roles tend to get used N1 for just that reason.

@DPR most mods would punish town over mafia for a no lynch, but I doubt Chris would do either. Sooh is almost always town through gameplay and was the only kill last night. If we have 2 kills tonight then it may be worth considering, but I still have her as town almost always

When combined with that second post, acting all innocent about how she was so confused how the game got to the point of seriously discussing her reaction when she was one of the firsts to do so, quite emphatically, well it looks like she was trying to lay some crumbs for people to pick up on while distancing herself by playing the uncertain innocent. *nods*

I wasn't questioning how the game got to the point of seriously discussing WiFi's reaction. I know very well I pretty much started the discussion of her reaction. I was baffled because she went from cheery rambling about her love for Eeyore to suddenly this:

and I know how that looks all of a sudden but its the truth. I tend to get vote shy in beginning of the game for some reason. When that's the last place I should be vote shy.

And then it's all about how nervous she gets when someone votes her. It was a ridiculously defensive reaction, and as there had been absolutely zero game related content to that point, it was something to discuss.

And then I remembered it's WiFi and trying to apply the usual scum tells to her play is a fool's errand. WiFi is a "watch and see" read for me.

As for the rest of the case, I can't figure out what you find suspicious about the fact that I didn't respond further to BFG's comment that my statement read oddly to her. I can't control how she reads my posts, and she didn't ask me any further questions about it.

I believe I have sufficiently explained how terrible I felt over the weekend. I'm not sure why you have a problem with the fact that I didn't explain reasoning behind my fuzzy vague "feel ok with" reads. To be honest it's amazing I had anything resembling reads at all with how poorly my brain was working. I generally don't explain everything I say in great detail. Why is it suspicious to you? Did you consider asking me to give detail? No?

What makes me really curious is the fact that it appears you find me and Seph the most suspicious, but you didn't comment on this one:

And I am also feeling terrible and my opinion right now is probably completely useless, but BFG said anything would be helpful? So maybe she was wrong?

I mean, I know I was genuinely trying to contribute while sick and saying whatever came to mind (and then when asked unable to remember why I thought it in the first place), but I expect if you honestly thought Seph and I were scummates you'd pick right up on that.

Unfortunately I was a lazy jerk last night, and got summoned by my neighbor to walk with her tonight so I didn't have time to do as much work as I'd like. I will vote this day phase, though, just need to sort through the bottom half of my list. Some short ISOs are necessary. Not interested in voting BFG, Dice, Cuth, DPR, possibly Crusher. The rest I'll need to look at more closely.

So, BFG asked her about what she mean about being vote shy before you asked what on earth prompted it. She replied to BFG and then she saw your post so she quoted everything together to show her response to BFG fit to your question as well. Five minutes later is when you say you're confused how we got to that point. Yet... she had given some explanation that you had ignored or not seen. Your quote below the link to her post was the next post and you still hadn't acknowledged her explanation.

Now, this is a snippet of those two lines from your above quote (all bold mine/my emphasis). Directly contradicting yourself here. It wasn't about her reaction to it was a very defensive reaction and something to talk about. lol wut

That's what I see as scummy, you seemed to be trying to set it up for others to latch onto and carry forward without you doing the leg work, and now your explanation doesn't quite make sense.

As for the BFG thing, you ignoring her question about such odd posts, hand in hand about how I feel about them, seems like you realized it didn't quite take and just let it be swept under a rug of ignoring. You can't say it's something to discuss (the only thing to discuss at that point?) and then NOT want to discuss it... Her reaction and others' reactions to it would have prompted good ground to work on, I think.

As for why I didn't ask for further detail at the time, because my next post wasn't until my drunken post during the Fight. You in fact, as you so duly noted, made some posts and interacted with Cuth. That was before the fight. And on page 20.

I indicated I was barely on page 16 on that reread...

Only about Page 16 just before all of the Day-is-about-to-end voting frenzy. Some notes/casing for now...

I never got to that interaction, so I didn't have an opinion on it. I'll go read it now and let you know my thoughts in more details, but scum can and do try and bolster their teammates as genuine or town often to try to push that view onto others.

I was not questioning how we got to the point of discussing her reaction. I know how that happened, because I chose to discuss it myself.

I was questioning how "we" (meaning she) went so quickly from idle chitchat about Eeyore to overreacting to a single vote on what, page 6? It stuck out to me a lot.

Then BFG got her talking about it, and she explained her rationale, such as it was, and considering that it's WiFi, it didn't feel useful to pursue further.

What do you find so scummy about that?

Not trying to be confrontational here, but none of that is actually true.

Mafia typically has a NK, so punishing the town for a No Lynch makes no sense whatsoever. Game balance demands that the burden of action be placed on the scum team - it also keeps them from lurking.

Why would you doubt that the mod would try something new. You need to rent Pleasantville and watch it over and over and over. It's not really a good movie, but it makes a point...

Please stop with the "Sooh is almost always town" stuff. Seriously. Why bother playing this game if everyone plays the same way every game? It's why clearing townies is such a backwards way of problem solving. One day Sooh is going to zig when you were sure she was going to zag.

Agree to disagree on the first. Standard on Dm when I started playing was hammer games where a no lynch resulted in a random janitored kill, that's basically anti-town, especially early game.

And no, bluntly. My read on Sooh this game has little to do with meta or range (game isn't active enough to force anyone out of scum ranges) and more to do with the fact that the reads she was making and when she was making them made a lot of sense. She was grounded, level headed and townie. I can go into a meta read if you want though :) nor am I going to change the way I play because you don't like it

We've already been in the ring and unless something new and noteworthy happens between now and deadline, we're likely to give a lot of the same arguments/info. The town benefits more from new info.

As far as investigation go, with no coroner info on the NK, it would not be unheard of for a guilty investigation to be outed. Who knows what happened, but better to throw a couple of fresh faces in there to get their take on things. More info that way.

Im back and just finished a read up.

Heres everything I see:

Tress and seph both look townie to me. Yesterday Tress drew votes for basically nothing and today is the same with seph, its Cuth making a statement and half the thread following because he seems more involved. In particular, I thought seph showed up hard over the last couple of pages though it would have been good to see him respond more to DPR.

Which brings me to DPR. He is the bottom of my list rn, reason being that he yesterday mirrored cuth on me, and has continued to do so, along with a few wolfy posts and his reaction to my early joke vote.

Cuth himself, ive still got no idea where the red is coming from. We're he not so earnest about it and still spending time in other things id be very sus of him. Its a townie tunnel imo.

Rn, im cool with duking it out. I dont think that I want to with seph though. Id rather DPR.

Oh, and for reads in general,

Seph - whole package this game

Dice - the aussie is aggressive in the right way and is being weird in the right way, not quiet.

Bfg - strong presence, good questions, no pushiness that ive seen.

Marsh - your soul lays itself bare to me bruh, sorry. On the real though, his recent questions about votes and confusion should be telling.

Ed - I hesitate to put this above cuth, he could prob be lower, bit I think the sooh kill spews him and I dont have much else on him.

Cuth - tinfoil drops him, but he is playing strong.

Tress- dont really have much ti say here, she has been aight, but shouldnt have gained the traction she did yesterday imo.

Crush - whered the bacon king even go? I dont like him being quiet like this

Hally - same as above, she hasnt done anything.

Wifi - hasnt sussed me this game. Thats a big deal, because she does every other game and she hasnt been absent here.

Dpr - dudes a wolf, and there are a bunch of reasons, part mentioned above, but also I'll grab a quote above and mention that the no lynch swap once we found out we all could was telling. Cuth was never gonna die there.

Chances are slightly lower that Darthe was, but I feel like a fight between him and Seph will be productive and informative.

Picture a wolf where DPR is a wolf and what does this post do for you? For me it's heavy posturing.
