Eldrick flip flopping doesn't ring any bells but usually he walks through almost all small details which he shows when he says things like "he wrote scum before he wrote town. Indicative?" and things like that but when it came to LizClov he looked super hesitant to join on her votes despite the fact that she was playing ridiculously scummy and when he finally does it's with the reason that she was asking "who my teammates would be?". Sad excuse to vote, like he needed a new reason to vote her since he didn't want to look like he was "bandwagoning".

As I told seph, I wanted to catch up first. I spent a good portion of the catchup intending to vote them, but wanted to be current before I did.

I have something to post that I want you and everyone else to deal with once and for all. If people dont' understand why YOU CANNOT BE TOWN at this point, I don't know what else to say. Like, dudes, okay, let's just give up on this game, because Darthe cannot be town this game. It is logically impossible.

 

 

To anyone (like DPR last night) who would like to keep pushing "#309 309 309!" in our faces and ignore the fact that post #309 has been dealt with (in that the premise that it can ONLY come from a scum mindset is negated because it's been proven that I've made similar statements - and successfully done so - as town before), you need to deal with post #1198 http://www.dragonmount.com/forums/topic/100047-advanced-old-west-mischief-mafia-d2/?p=3756264

 

And I'll leave my partner to find the follow up post because I don't have time to dig it up before work, but in addition to post 1198 you then need to explain why Darthe then later told me when I asked him why he moved his vote that the reason he did it was that he started to think I could be town and should be given a chance to prove myself. But that my interactions were making him think I was scum again.

 

But the problem, the post that proves that this was a steaming pile of bovine product is that he posted #1198 long before I ever showed up in the thread.

 

And what that means, if I have to spell it out again, is that he first got caught in a scum mindset slip - he moved his vote from his strongest scum read to his weakest scum read for no damn reason if he's town.

 

And then he followed that up by being caught in a lie about what his mindset was at the time he moved his vote, because his actions after the flip do not match what he claims to have been his mindset before the flip.

 

I don't know how this can be any clearer.

 

And if that didn't seal the deal, every time I confront him about it he runs away with his tail between his legs and waits until I'm gone to come back to talk more bovine product in the thread.

 

So seriously, Darthe, No more running. No more hiding. Stand up in the thread like a man and explain how that discrepancy does not show that you're scum. No "you're crazy" or "you're so wolfy" or "you're just trying to confuse me". Head held high, and with some dignity, explain yourself.

 

But yeah, if people really can't see that Darthe is scum from this then Idek know what to tell ya. But at least MrsClov and I have done our jobs.

I added the quote about me explaining to NotBob why Liz and I were the lynch and he said there was probably scum on us..... I've pointed out before that Darthe was voting us at the time.

Wow,  the groupthink in this thread is ridiculous. None of you see it as a little odd that everyone seems to be jumping up and down saying that what Liz and I have done are scummy? I find it hard to believe that you are all town and really truly can't see the problem with everyone but Liz and I saying that what we've said is scummy. Definitely leaning town on Seph and Cuth right now, but I'm questioning some of you who have come, in this morning and are so easily going with the general consensus of the thread. Incredibly concerned that Tinker doesn't seem to think there's anything of value in the thread right now.

Cliff note version, make of it what you will: Liz and I placed a joke vote on Dice and it blew up out of control many of the conversations we've had with people made them start going after us for being scum (we're not) so we've been on the defense all day phase. Liz was trying to expand everyone's thoughts and ask people to open their minds and really think about it and asked who would our scum partners be. So now that's apparently the scummiest thing ever. I spent a large chunk of last night trying to reason with those who were on because they were expecting us to find scum, when it's kind of hard to get things done when you're constantly having to defend yourself. Cuth, Seph, and Eldrick gave us a courtesy unvote, we unvoted Dice. Came back this morning to people who hadn't been around a ton yesterday agreeing that we're scummy. It just seems odd that no one has a problem with a large part of the game thinking this is scummy. It's like they're just going after the easiest thing to lynch in the thread.

That he's doing it again is so null it's hilarious.

A) Huge difference between him doing it last game and this game is this game is closed. We don't even know IF there's a vig.

B) Darthe claiming early in general is null by itself.

C) He could easily do this again if he rolled scum again as equally as he could as town.

I do not like Eldrick's soft defense tendencies.  Yes, Darthe does this claim stuff like this too often but Eldrick's rationalizing comes across as scummy.

 

That's exactly how Eldrick is though. He will tell you if something is expected on D1, and he will do it in exactly this format which makes it look as though he's hedging on a read, or soft defending. In similar tones to Eldrick's post; this is null for Eldrick.

 

 

Yes, but he muddies the waters.  I'd prefer to see the interactions...let Darthe answer for his BS claims.

 

 

 

 

TLDR I think it looks like mutual distancing between Darthe and NB, they dig at each other but neither of them take it further or seems serious about the other's reactions. Both of them shift onto KizzyClov tunnel/vote down the track.

NB's comment on MrsClov's post is null and I think the later vote on her hydra with last minute shift makes them look clear but her requoting it here is odd. Eld's comment on the thing was off. NB's dig at Eld could be similar distancing. Need to look back at Eldrick's interactions with NB.

 

Initial take on the sequence was Darthe's claim = null, maybe more likely Town, and then alarm at MrsClov's question, initial mindmeld with NotBob over Eldrick's commentary being scummy and agreement with the attitude towards Darthe. 

 

Didn't like Darthe's approach to NB having a null response to the claim, it felt like the beginnings of light shade and made me pause again on the purpose of his initial claim (first time at reading he'd just done the same as scum). Wasn't sure if he was just looking for reactions or pushing an agenda wrt NotBob but it felt weak and I thought NB's responses were fine. 

 

IIRC this didn't go anywhere though - on either side? Darthe's attention turned instead to LizMrsC until the EoD and on re-read the above reads like dirt without actual pushes from either of them.

 

Eldrick's commentary on it was OTT imo and coupled with the other places he'd jumped in seemed again commenting just to comment, NotBob pushes at it, which could go either way, but Darthe doesn't even comment on his response to it afaik?

 

I make nothing out of NB's comments on Mrs Clov's post - they're completely non-committal and could go either way.

Last night, presumably at the beginning of night phase, I was to make a choice. I can't go into specifics because of mod communication and whatnot, but suffice to say I'm worried about the result of the choice.

Due to the obscure nature of the question, it feels like depending on what I picked, one of us will die. If there's a doc, and they have nothing better to do, I would like protection. I don't trust the outcome of this role, whatever it's doing.

If it's result is a kill, I would like to thwart it. It does not feel like a town ability.

It bothers me because you never addressed it. Joke votes being left on someone after the joke phase is over is a red flag for me.

I think that kind of thing isn't really opportunistic because there's almost no chance that anyone is going to join you or agree with that train of thought. It's like a moment where you're trying to psychoanalyse every single word but it's pretty meh. Eldrick posts about them though, I guess it helps him narrow down his thoughts somewhat but it's not alignment indicative. 

 

I think they were being pushed for like 50 different reasons. Their posts in general weren't just defensive but they were looking for every vote to be justified on them to an impossible degree on D1. The "who are my teammates" one was just the post that got more traction. He'd been around for more than enough of the Day to cite something other than just that post as being the determining factor. 

 

Reading Cuth early I feel like his decision to unvote after Eldrick votes was probably the most important one into building momentum elsewhere. I've read the thread once up to page 65 so I haven't ISO'd him which hopefully I'll find time to do later but I don't think he's scum with Eldrick. They were actively working against each other then and this matters since scum was lynched D1.

DPR- Stone cold scum hunting. Putting out scenarios and generating reactions. Seen him play enough to not be put off on the stiffness (like a good bourbon) of his reads and opinion. This is town DPR

 

Darthe- Early on had a good feeling about his play. I purposely looked at his move at the end of the Jetscode train and it was unecvesary. Jetscode was lynched. Stil trying to determine if that fact makes me feel better or worse about it. His interaction with Liz is pretty much avoidance.

 

Seph- aside from his obvious alliance with Cloviz and the post lynch reaction that felt like a set up for him to call me or DPR scum At the end of the lynch had been pretty solid since then. His apology seemed genuine but the initial play felt on reread Felt like he planned on doing it and jumped the gun before he read it through. More I read that part less I like it but his connection to Cloviz is probably dripping Dread into it.

 

Cuth- This dude reminds me of one of my all time favorites from JN. Vic, because he hated to be vanilla town and cuths tossing himself onto the flame kill me kill me scum post reminded me of that. Did not like the one post he made I made mentioned of but his response was adequate.

 

Cronos- first off someone who plays mafia might not want to put the word wolf in their name but I digress. Got off to a slow start but is making very good reads so far and adding good content. Still need more from him.

 

Wifi- little bit off an enigma to me. Early on made one sketchy post then got got good in the middle. At the end she went a little emotional with the " I did my best thing" yet good play so far. Pretty sure it was Liz that turned her slightly Dmo.

 

Eldrick- WTF with this kid? Seeing the game pretty much opposite to me but that's fine. It happens. But holy crap is this child kinetic. " Back off the Ritalin son" This weird ass half ass question then request for protection is so strange I am truly at a lot on this one. Don't hate myself enough to go back and reread him. As a father of five my instimctbis to hug him and tell him it's ok. But I'm not sure it is.

 

Dice- solid play so far. Seeing the game well and making good reads. Not a ton of posting but what he has posted is solid.

I have something to post that I want you and everyone else to deal with once and for all. If people dont' understand why YOU CANNOT BE TOWN at this point, I don't know what else to say. Like, dudes, okay, let's just give up on this game, because Darthe cannot be town this game. It is logically impossible.

 

 

To anyone (like DPR last night) who would like to keep pushing "#309 309 309!" in our faces and ignore the fact that post #309 has been dealt with (in that the premise that it can ONLY come from a scum mindset is negated because it's been proven that I've made similar statements - and successfully done so - as town before), you need to deal with post #1198 http://www.dragonmount.com/forums/topic/100047-advanced-old-west-mischief-mafia-d2/?p=3756264

 

And I'll leave my partner to find the follow up post because I don't have time to dig it up before work, but in addition to post 1198 you then need to explain why Darthe then later told me when I asked him why he moved his vote that the reason he did it was that he started to think I could be town and should be given a chance to prove myself. But that my interactions were making him think I was scum again.

 

But the problem, the post that proves that this was a steaming pile of bovine product is that he posted #1198 long before I ever showed up in the thread.

 

And what that means, if I have to spell it out again, is that he first got caught in a scum mindset slip - he moved his vote from his strongest scum read to his weakest scum read for no damn reason if he's town.

 

And then he followed that up by being caught in a lie about what his mindset was at the time he moved his vote, because his actions after the flip do not match what he claims to have been his mindset before the flip.

 

I don't know how this can be any clearer.

 

And if that didn't seal the deal, every time I confront him about it he runs away with his tail between his legs and waits until I'm gone to come back to talk more bovine product in the thread.

 

So seriously, Darthe, No more running. No more hiding. Stand up in the thread like a man and explain how that discrepancy does not show that you're scum. No "you're crazy" or "you're so wolfy" or "you're just trying to confuse me". Head held high, and with some dignity, explain yourself.

 

But yeah, if people really can't see that Darthe is scum from this then Idek know what to tell ya. But at least MrsClov and I have done our jobs.

The underlined (Darthe moving off MrsLizClov onto NB at the EoD) is the biggest thing for me here, but it's linked more to Darthe-NB interactions dying out before the switch with both of them having a focus/vote on the hydra, and there being possi-scum motivation to be on scum flip for cred.

 

Don't have as much issue with the post Liz links as support for Darthe seeing them as his biggest scum read tbh

I read it as obnoxious/scum in tone and tunnelling/throwing dirt on Liz but in itself it could go either way.

'd when I first read the other posts like this earlier in their other interactions because the words/feelings in the push back are so similar to my own exasperation with Darthe's style and could've/have even previously come from my own head.

So basically, Liz/Clov, Seph and Cuth think each others farts smell good and Eldrick follows all of them around like a lost puppy.

 

Cuth is useless - contributes nothing and brags about it. 

Liz/Clov distract the game by dumping volumes and volumes of content, none of which makes sense.

Seph rubber stamps everything Cuth & Liz/Clov say, and they hold him up as the authority on such things.

Eldrick reminds me of a cartoon character - the one that stands behind the boss/leader and says "yeah!" after everything the boss says.

 

At this point, were not even playing the game so much as we're picking sides on the playground. There are baskets full of unanswered, undiscussed details, but we ain't goin' nowhere until half of this game dies off. I'm kickin' up my feet til then.
