The circuit judge had been recalled to this town for a third time, and for the third time he was baffled at the lack of proper court procedure. His befuddlement might have been the hangover, he allowed - he had brought with him a bottle of fine whisky that his sister had sent from back east instead of risking the local rotgut on this trip.

They had made progress, he supposed - for this trial, there was at least a single prosecutor, although he had stubbornly refused to name the suspect for most of the day's proceedings and instead presented a steady stream of witnesses who were apparently unsure why they had been called or what they should say. The judge had no idea why the man was wearing a mask, or why he appeared to be so very attached to his horse that he'd brought it with him into the courtroom, but he'd seen stranger things.

The pirate, for instance. The judge wasn't sure exactly who he was, or why he was in this small western town so far from any sort of pirate-able waterway, but here he was, looking as dangerous as a copperhead in an outhouse and just as inscrutable.

"It's him, Your Honor," the masked man asserted. "There is obviously no legitimate reason for a pirate to be here. He's a part of this mischief, bank on it. He is daggone guilty, Your Honor, and I mean for him to swing."

The pirate raised one eyebrow and pulled a deck of cards from the sash at his waist as he addressed the court. "Might I interest you in a game of chance, Your Honor?"

The circuit judge gave him a flat look.

"No?" he asked, eyes darting about the room. "A pity, then. It seems my luck has run out."

DreadPirateRoberts, Third Party Gambler, has been lynched.

That makes sense to me. So who else gambled?

Just three wolves points hard to cass or hally still imo, theyre too quiet.

I'm assuming there wouldn't be four and a 3p - that would be unbalanced?

Also - I wasn't gambled.

It could have balance here still, bit i dont think its as viable. That said, this is an assumption with a loq confidence, so lets not make hard assertions based on it.

Wasn't wanting to make hard assertions.  It was just a thought.  Either way - max of two mafia left.

I knew there was a 3p......and I think I even said it could be dpr at one point way in the past....way way in the past....

Okay it was DICE, NOT DPR.....I think I should ISO myself before I make comments.  I seem to open mouth and insert foot....

A lot of d names in this game. Keeping 'em all separate is hard at times

thats a very interesting role lol. It's still a very positive kill and I think we need to give it up for our cops :)

obviously we need the doctor to protect kronos tonght, but if needed you can make sure you can protect dice tomorrow. With dpr flipping 3p I will have to go back and look a little bit at the thread, but I doubt my reads are going to be terribly different than at the start of d3.

lol im a dead man seph.

Darthe can you explain your read on Crusher?

He's playing differently to the mafia game I have on him, but can't draw conclusions from one game.

I haven't disliked him this game and think he sounds good, but why is he such a strong read?

Also Darthe?

Liz/Mrs Clov train take 2 (posts 939-1053)

Darthe (2): Cass (30), Eldrick (692)

Liz (6): Dice (65), Darthe (220), DPR (558), Crusher (953), Tinker (999), NB (1034)

NotBob (1): Cuth(659)

WiFi: NB (802 U1034)

Eldrick (3): Hallia (817), Seph (939), WiFi (1053)

999 Tinker votes Liz/Clov, giving explanation for switching to Eldrick while not having explained Liz/Clov still reads weird (but I know he responds to me about this later)

1034 NB votes Liz/Clov comes from nowhere, however 'following DPRs reasoning', again would seem weird if NB/DPR were m/m

Taking up post flip:

1053 WiFi votes Eldrick

1061 Eldrick says Liz 'so genuine it hurts' maybe odd to say if m/m, especially since at this point Liz is being lynched

1071 Liz votes NB - they've mentioned him a couple of times, but haven't really done much to resolve him. Given the other option is Eldrick (also mafia) and they're town reading him, the vote isn't as clearing as it could be, but is a good look

1080 Cuth pushes NB again (brings up Tinker)

1081 Mrs Clov explains NB read further +

1082 Sooh votes NB

1085-1087 Eldrick defends NB - style here feels different to his comments on Liz/Mrs Clov - more assertive in trying to disarm the train? Looks good for the hydra

1089 Cuth starts to back away from NB read, but crucially leaves vote

1091/2 Eldrick goes for the bus

1101 Seph keeps prodding Eldrick, basically pointing out that Eldrick is setting DPR up for a town Liz/MrsClov flip. Given DPR wasn't mafia this looks good for them :)

1103 is a pretty good summation of the case on Eldrick

1104 Seph picks up on NB

1117 Seph votes NB, partially to save Liz/MrsClov

1132 NB votes Eldrick, multiple discussions with DPR, but despite the fact he was being genuine, still think this is null

1142 Crusher votes NB 'not kicking in doors' timing of vote makes it null, votes NB after the 'suicide' vote, but Crusher started his read before the vote. Also had Eldrick/NB as 2 of bottom 3 from early

1147 Darthe votes NB

1154 Kronos votes NB

It's not about Bob Part 1 (posts 1053-1117)

Darthe (1): Cass (30), Eldrick (692 U1100)

Liz (6): Dice (65), Darthe (220), DPR (558), Crusher (953), Tinker (999), NB (1034)

NotBob: Cuth(659), Liz/Mrs Clov (1071), Sooh (1082), Eldrick (1100), Seph (1117)

WiFi: NB (802 U1034)

Eldrick (2): Hallia (817), Seph (939 U1117), WiFi (1053)

Kamikaze (posts 1117-1132)

Darthe (1): Cass (30)

Liz (5): Dice (65), Darthe (220), DPR (558), Crusher (953), Tinker (999), NB (1034 U 1132)

NotBob (5): Cuth(659), Liz/Mrs Clov (1071), Sooh (1082), Eldrick (1100), Seph (1117)

Eldrick (3): Hallia (817), WiFi (1053), NB (1132)

The Final Countdown (posts 1132-1154)

Darthe (1): Cass (30)

Liz (3): Dice (65), Darthe (220 U1147), DPR (558), Crusher (953 U1142), Tinker (999)

NotBob (8): Cuth(659), Liz/Mrs Clov (1071), Sooh (1082), Eldrick (1100), Seph (1117), Crusher (1142), Darthe (1147), Kronos (1154)

Eldrick (3): Hallia (817), WiFi (1053), NB (1132)

Cuth, Seph definitely come out looking the best from the day

Hallia doesn't read as bussing Eldrick, but the decreasing presence in thread makes this a very shaky read.

Liz/MrsClov I'd probably YOLO a town read on based partly on prepressure Liz and late game interactions with Eldrick.

Crusher reads ok, but isn't someone I can have a strong opinion on, would have started the game pushing 2 teammates neither of whom were under suspicion and given that he spends most of his time talking about Liz/Mrs Clov I can't rule out distancing

Kind of relieved that my read on DPR (not teamed with Eldrick was right). Eldrick initially resisting the NB train, but free flowing with Liz/Mrs Clov looks good for them <3

Huh. That's an interesting role and makes what Eldric was saying about being targeted make sense. I was trying to piece together what he said combined with what Kronos was saying his role did and it didn't quite add up to me. So now that DPR's been revealed it makes a lot of sense.
