I think LOTR will be even more of a hot mess. A beautiful hot mess, but a hot mess nonetheless. Which may be good for WoT because ... imagine if OUR series is the better fantasy offering. Theres not a mountain of competition and the upcoming GoT adjacent series is already getting some ugly vibes from their community. lol

In many ways I am glad they are not attempting a wide variety of accents. Far too often have I heard absolute terrible accent attempts by actors in tv and film. So much so I had to call the police because I was witnessing a murder.

Something of intrigue:
The Aes Sedai have either forgotten, or have erased the duality of the Power.
Why? Notice in the series we see the Dragons fang used. So the negative aspect lives on.
But where is the Flame? The Aes Sedai do not use the symbol at all. Not even in TV.
The first time we see it...and the Duality - in the Eye. A remnant of the AS of old.
Finally finished my first read through! Summarizing my thoughts, briefly...

@DojoToad Each reread is an opportunity to revisit it with a different eye.
My last reread was a terrible mess and I loved every minute of it.
I put all my books out on the floor and picked it up and just read it from Rand’s perspective. I skipped every chapter he was not in and just tried to get into his mind.
It was actually kind of crazy to not see what was happening with the other characters and it kinda helped me see that Rand was always in a really tough position from the get go.
I think next I might read it through another character since it was such a fun experience.
