90's Action Hero Mafia - Game Over - Mafia Wins
Ithillian Turambar replied to Darthe's topic in DM Mafia Games
I am very unhappy that your mega post starts with this. Goes through a whole lot of reasons why it's ok for you to defend Heavy because you were pretending and then call Key out over and over And then I look back to the start and your definite Mafia is Heavy but you are not voting Heavy. -

Even your own post confirms the odds but you say it is weird. Mafia Marsh white knighting Town Heavy. Marsh = Mafia. Heavy = Town Mafia Marsh defending mafia Heavy. Marsh = Mafia. Heavy = mafia You got 2 points to his 1 and so I changed my vote. -

That was really a specific response that I wanted to make to show that while Turin may seem to not always play the way everyone seems comfortable with, that doesn't mean he doesn't get results. -
Good luck Hallia 🙂

Once again we are lured by potential loot. I hope there's no such thing as a Mimic in this world. Story Update – Day 5, Afternoon You approach the shadowed curve of the cliff’s base, where fragmented stone ruins half-buried in moss and dust cling to the mountainside. The Flickerling flits ahead, its glow sharpening as it nears a narrow passage barely visible behind a toppled column. Inside, the air is still—thick with old echoes and faint Spirit resonance. It’s clear this site was once part of the Skyreach pathways, perhaps an old shrine or a meditation retreat. Cracked mosaics show winged monks and elemental sigils intertwined. You spot a faint glyph shimmer beneath layers of dust. As you step closer, your Codex pulses. The Flickerling hovers near the glyph, which responds to its presence. A quiet chime sounds—and a small alcove opens, revealing a Skyreach Reliquary sealed in spirit-threaded glass. You gain: Item: Skyreach Reliquary (Rare) – Contains a preserved monk's insight. Can be opened at a Spirit Altar or Codex altar to gain a boon. Lore Fragment: A monk’s carved journal tablet describing “The Path of Winds,” a rite of attunement. Optional Codex Prompt: "Would you like to imprint the monk’s echo into your Codex for deeper insight?" (Consumes no EP, but may have future consequences.) Updated Inventory: +1 Skyreach Reliquary +1 Lore Fragment – Path of Winds Flickerling: Curious trait triggered (optional hidden areas may be revealed in future similar ruins) Stats: HP: 27 / 27 EP: 17 / 17 Time: Day 5, Mid-Afternoon Fatigue: Light Next Choices: Climb higher toward Skyreach Monastery – Continue the ascent Imprint the monk’s echo into your Codex – Accept the memory and risk potential influence Return to Windrest Hollow – Revisit village for supplies, work, or information Rest at the edge of the ruins – Regain EP, deepen Spirit bond Explore deeper into the ruins – The passage may continue beyond the relic site Would you like to imprint the echo? And which path will you take next? -

Can we get the end of Day time sorted please, as it seems it only works for people who are stateside. I will never be there for a 3am deadline. I did mine at 10pm BST and most people were able to show up. -

Bold - I didn't make you do anything 😛. Thanks for quoting it though, so I didn't have to go find it lololol. My b, I missed that that's what you were responding to. Italics - I did notice the change and it is definitely interesting. Second bold - did he do this in the other two games - start off confusing and switch to easier to understand? Second italics - Fair, but FWIW I feel the opposite vibe from that? Like, why would new scum come in and just being confusing AF and draw all that attention? More concerning is the 180. Hey look at me and my nested quotes. Send me £10 to find out how I did it. 1. Reading through quotes is hard so it's ok. I have also jumped to wrong conclusions. 2. Very interesting 3. Not that I recall. Maybe a few interesting phrases but nothing to this extent. 4. Panic? A way to deal with a new and unexpected situation? Trying to outwit and be clever? The 180 is def something that I noticed. At first Heavy said Wut? This is just how I post. And yet now it is not. Could be a Team timezones thing. -

We love to cuddle with our Flicker cos they often give us free stuff Story Update – Day 5, Midday You settle onto a mossy ledge just off the trail. The sky is clear, wind curling gently across the mountainside. Your Flickerling hovers close, pulsing with quiet energy. As you slow your breath and center yourself, the bond between you deepens. The Codex hums softly. Spirit and Air threads ripple around you—forming a subtle circle. The familiar’s glow grows brighter, and for a brief moment, you see through its senses—shimmering outlines, unseen air currents, lingering echoes of emotional auras. It's not just a pet. It’s an extension of your insight. You open your eyes. The wind shifts. Something in the Codex settles deeper. Flickerling Familiar Update: Form: Wispform Ability Gained: "Veil Sense" – While the Flickerling is nearby, you gain passive detection of hidden or illusion-cloaked entities. Spirit-based traps or glamours are easier to perceive. Familiar Trait Unlocked: Curious – More likely to react to unusual energies, triggering optional events. Bond Level: 2 Codex Sync Bonus: +1 EP restored during meditation Fatigue: Minimal EP Restored: +1 Current Stats: HP: 27 / 27 EP: 17 / 17 Time: Day 5, Early Afternoon Flickerling: Wispform (Bond Lv. 2) Next Choices: Climb higher toward Skyreach Monastery – The spires must be close now Use Veil Sense to scan the cliffside – Seek hidden paths or secrets Return to Windrest Hollow – Stock up, speak to contacts, or check new tasks Call on the Codex to refine Zephyr Pulse – Spend time enhancing the spell Explore nearby ruins tucked under the cliff’s edge – Recently revealed by the shifting wind What’s your next move? -

I hate making lists. Feels like work. Town end Nynaeve - asking good questions and being very natural and interactive. Is really looking into details keyholder21 - also doing lots of good poking about. Not afraid to admit mistakes. Nice natural tone and flow. A lot better at quotes than I'll ever be. Turin Turambar - less involved. Not being super helpful. Not afraid to get into things. These are signs of Town Turin for me. Null section DPR - never trust a Pirate but also do not shoot a pirate in the face on day 1. I get mostly good vibes from his enigmatic posts. Happy to provide a list. Verbal32 - Weekend at Verbals. Lenlo - no activity as yet. Darthe is probably having a moment about this. ed2funy - lots of reactions. Not a lot of substance yet. RandA lThor - did make a random vote on Nyn but might have just felt left out cos he was late. Not much else apart from that. dicetosser1 - always angry. I don't like it. Weird beef with Turin. The atmosphere makes me uncomfortable. Probs doesn't actually think Turin is Mafia though or he'd be on him like shot. Especially with his vote on Heavy being just a Lol vote. Mafia end Tigraine - just the absolute most purest fly by 'I'll read up and post later honest' post ever. It was only 6 pages in at that point and we never got a sequel. HeavyHalfMoonBlade - I still stand by that overly crafted posts that say nothing, are an attempt to actively say nothing. I think this might be Heavy's first rand as mafia and he had a bit of a moment. Also I'm not sure he gets to tell us when he's doing things that are alignment indicative or not. I think we make that decision. Massive change in post style, despite saying that he was only posting how he naturally posts to start with. Ironeyes - probably gonna be a defence lawyer. Popped up and completely defended Heavy. Says he was worried about LEADING a Lynch on Heavy when I was the first to vote Heavy and Dice was second. Now is doing the 'oh but I'm always scummy as Town' and the 'resigned to my fate' nonchalant follow ups. Also omg I just went back and double counted and still couldnt figure out why I only had 12 people when there are 13 people playing 😆 -

I'm probably gonna be accused of being 'googly eyes' but I honestly don't know why Dice seems so cross and dismissive about Turin. Well apart from the fact that Turin is voting for him maybe. I thought his little comment in the spoiler box was a joke. That is usually a place where he hides his lols and funny asides. So he said 'in the sign up thread??? Lololol because he did NOT read any further in the sign up Thread. He did say he'd not bothered to join in the chit chat there. Maybe you should try being a bit less grumpy. You actually don't HAVE to blow up about things. Let it be known that in the last game, Turin asked everyone to say if they were Town or not. Turin was Town. Two people who had difficulty answering his question in a simple way were Mafia. There was no Lie Detector in the game but the Mafia didn't know that at the time. Did it cause all kinds of problems later on in the game? Heck yes. But I'm not gonna discount how Turin plays just because he's a bit unorthodox. Disagree. I find your attempt to discredit his thought process interesting though. I too believe that all game thread content is useful for solving the game and I openly agreed with Turin, and yet you do not have me as being 'half cocked on crap'. Maybe I'm just more used to his sense of humour, and understand how he plays and tries to solve, but if I had to make a list right now I would have him towards the town end of things. But I'm not gonna make a list right now because I woke up too early and want to go back to sleep really. But this irked me and I had to say something. -

Let's synergise Story Update – Day 5, Late Morning You kneel near the pedestal, placing a hand gently on the nearest ring as it passes. Your Codex pulses in sync with your thoughts, and the Flickerling Sprout drifts closer, glowing with pale Spirit light. You channel Spirit magic into the glyphs surrounding the ring's base. Wisps of spectral light trail from your fingers, mirrored by the Flickerling’s threads. The air shivers. The pedestal hums in response—not with rejection, but with recognition. One by one, the stone rings pause in mid-air. Suspended. Listening. The central glyph ignites with soft blue-white light. The memory seal fractures—revealing a suspended Air-Weave pattern, swirling with motion, resonance, and rhythm. It folds itself into your Codex with grace, becoming something new: New Spell Learned: Zephyr Pulse Type: Air + Spirit (Hybrid) Effect: Releases a burst of compressed air imbued with Spirit. Staggers nearby foes, reveals hidden magical constructs, and may disrupt illusions or glamours. Cooldown: Reduced due to Flickerling Bond – Instinctive Threading The pedestal dims, satisfied. Around you, the wind stills—and a faint voice, long forgotten, whispers: "Balance through awareness, not force. Let the unseen guide your stride." Updated Stats & Progress: HP: 27 / 27 EP: 17 / 17 New Spell: Zephyr Pulse (Air + Spirit) Flickerling Bond: Grown – now actively supports hybrid Spirit Weaves Time: Day 5, Approaching Midday Fatigue: Low Next Choices: Proceed further up the Skyreach trail – The monastery spires are rumored to be near Rest briefly and meditate with the Flickerling – May strengthen bond or restore EP Head back to Windrest Hollow – Resupply, check messages, or explore quests Search the cliffside paths nearby – Risky, but you might find elemental fragments or secrets Call upon the Codex for a memory scan – Seek a vision or echo of past Air Guardians What’s your next move? -
