The first  20 pages of this game are so tedious. When does it get interesting?

 

Instead of skipping pages people should consider just speed skimming until they see alignment-related statements.

 

I never really feel bad about spammy stuff because you can literally gloss over it in a split second if you want to.

This is clearly going to take some adjusting. 

 

 

Ahh, but we don't have ZERO info.

 

We have the info that is in our role PMs.

 

For some games that means more than others.  For some people in this game it may mean more than others.  Alignment doesn't necessarily follow, mind you, but there is actually some interesting stuff in this D1.

The argument about scum not pushing to lynch someone on the basis that they might be symp only flies if we assume they believe there might be a symp.

 

If they have no symp finding ability and their numbers lead them to believe a symp is unlikely, or if they're just straight lying because they don't think a real symp would go about it that way, the argument doesn't really fly.

 

I actually pushed RTE as a wolf on the grounds that he was playing like a symp once because our symp recruitment on him got roleblocked N1 and I took it for granted the failure made him town.  He flipped our symp.  :tongue:

 

Point being it's a reasonable positive in an advanced game but it's not clearing.

Im not a good skimmer. I always miss things, cause I either skim to little meaning its just reading the thread as normal, or I over-skim and basically just keep clicking next over and over again. Its a process I havnt bothered to try and fine tune.

I've been slanking around abit, i know, but there is a lot of people and Im not found of D1. I have some slight gut reads but I think it is wiser to hold my cards close for awhile. Im going to work but i think there's something interesting developing in the leelou, verbal, tress (possibly Kaylee) discussion. I dont know Darthes meta well, but he doesn't seem to be making real reads but hes popping up here and there. I like alot of the reads shad has said lately. ill try to do a better reads list tonight after i get home and ill be around tomorrow. 

 

Do the right thing.  Vote Darthe so we know where you stand.

I'm well aware.  I've played there once, and co-modded a game a few years back with Hally.  I tend to avoid it because I know how much they all adore DM visitors :wink:

So I guess that means different is good now, lol.  I looked back, and I see only 1 game we played together, so I'm surprised you have any recollection of me as a player in a mafia game.

 

Verb actually fact checking in the DB is probably really villagery, lol

Yeah I remember bits of the game related to me. It was being modded by Ed.  There was a couple of players who I joined together because I was Cupid and joined them together. I was saying that one of them was definitely mafia and she got very defensive. Her partner was actually town, and thought her partner was also Town. Because I wouldn't let it go (that that particular player was mafia because of my hunch) other players were "facepalming" and saying I'm tunnel-visioned. (so what, I have to say XD). You were mafia in that game I think. The one I was accusing was calling me a puppy and then my brother got involved. (he was in the game). So we just left it at that. Ed linked me to an old mafia game thread that he was in and I looked through it, and he had experienced a similar thing where he was being adamant that someone was scummy and no one would take his side and he ended up being correct. Indirectly he was telling me I was on the right track but I should change my tactics.

 

I may be conflating two games together but yeah that particular game was horrible for me.

@Snow - has your read on Dave adjusted at all with the whole Heathen revelation?

 

He's good for now. 

 

Once a heathen gets killed/cop cleared I'll feel a lot better. Right now there's enough subtle hints about people being heathens that I don't think they're scum. They wouldn't risk that much of their team on it. 

 

If we hit LyLo and don't have any heathens flips, I'll be concerned about them being a scum team.

 

Pretty much exactly the response I was thinking - in that it's perfectly null but correct.
