What I didn't like was that me being a newb was somehow detrimental and that "I shouldn't play like this" or "like that" as if the "veterans" know best and so the newbs should just follow.

Experience is great I suppose, but my approach is like a detective if I'm Town. If I'm mafia I try to not be too obvious and scummy. But I didn't appreciate the veterans sch as yourself Verbal telling me I should be doing this or not doing that.

Yeah I remember bits of the game related to me. It was being modded by Ed. There was a couple of players who I joined together because I was Cupid and joined them together. I was saying that one of them was definitely mafia and she got very defensive. Her partner was actually town, and thought her partner was also Town. Because I wouldn't let it go (that that particular player was mafia because of my hunch) other players were "facepalming" and saying I'm tunnel-visioned. (so what, I have to say XD). You were mafia in that game I think. The one I was accusing was calling me a puppy and then my brother got involved. (he was in the game). So we just left it at that. Ed linked me to an old mafia game thread that he was in and I looked through it, and he had experienced a similar thing where he was being adamant that someone was scummy and no one would take his side and he ended up being correct. Indirectly he was telling me I was on the right track but I should change my tactics.

I may be conflating two games together but yeah that particular game was horrible for me.

Notes. Not alot cause the first 30 pages was all complete crap mostly. This is just first 40 pages cause ive procrastinated slogging through it.

Pgs 1 to 17 - Jokey faff. Meaningless.

Pg 18 - Hermes "If the Dice vote picks up ill move to him" (#350) is pretty suss. Hermes has played before correct? This doesnt seem very... townie.

Pgs 19 to 25 - More jokes/Nothing worth commenting on. Like BooBoos intro. Have to say, im likin Nolders idgaf attitude. Its very Nolder. Kaylee agrees with me on BooBoo (#492). Good sign. I like people agreeing with me.

Pgs 26 to 30 - More gifs. Darthes got a point (#525). Verb trying pre page 100 is weird. John, how is this different from Zander in ANY game (#530)? Yeah its not great, but its not a scum tell. Thanks Verb (#533).

Pgs 31 to 35 - Agree with Dice here. Snows Zander push is stupid (#602). Almost feels to easy. Jester? Trying to get lynched? I like AJs come back post (#625). CUT THE SHIIIIT. I dont care Dice, its makes the game a god damn chore to catchup/reread (#672). I dont care how much tone helps you if it shuts out half the game.

Pgs 36 to 40 - David is hinting at Heathens right here (#714). Supports/sets up his later claim I know is coming. Looking for his team? Possible symp? His future claim though looked fine to me. I sorta agree with Tiink here (#789).

The individual groups are ordered with a +-1 margin of error within its own group.

Town

Boo Boo -------- Good posts. Like his thoughts.

Zander ---------- Town, just being his regular Zander stupid with regards to some people. Its nice to be on the same team for once. Now go order everyone to leave me alone Zander.

Towny

Dice ------------ Another gut read. Dice is always hard to figure out. I flip a coin and then ignore the result and do what my gut says. Also looks like theres effort.

Darthe --------- Gut. Dudes playing exactly like last game and he was town there until he was recruited.

Nolder --------- His idgaf attitude seems genuine and Noldery to me.

Shad ----------- Really wanna say town but ive been burned before. Light town for now cause content.

Kaylee --------- She agrees with me and is pretty.

Null

Andrej ------------ Honestly would expect more from AJ. Think time will tell with this one. Like some of his questioning towards Kaylee.

Verb --------------- Undecided. Needs more time in oven.

if you have multiple quotes and want to break them up into seperate posts to respond to, when you cut or copy and paste them in that happens. I thought it had been fixed as i hadnt seen it in a while but apparently not.

all right i am working on the basis that this is jif

first off giving a town read shouldnt stop reevaluation unless its a very strong one for reasons. eg i have a habit of calling Zander town early and once i do i dont shift. Its totally meta but guess what? ive never been wrong. So this game im thinking tress is town. Doesnt mean my mind cant change, just what my thinking is now.

Calling someone town or scum also helps other players. It makes me accountable for what i said and they know where my thinking is. That way if i act contrary to that they can spot it and jump at me. If i now do a reads list and put tress at the bottom watch people excplode on me cause they have evidence that im contradicting myself.

It can open you to manipulation and i have cost us games cough frozen cough when ive got paranoid on someone but again those meta reads help me to have a chance to spot if im getting manipulated.

LMAO and if you hate meta ure gonna HATE my gut reads. Also if this IS Jif then really all you JN guys DO is use meta. You just use it at such a high level you cant even see what it is your basing things on.

And you have meta on people you know verb leelou crusher and NB well youve played a couple with me, know zander a bit and at least one with shad.

Now that you know who I am, you'll know this is a pet peeve of mine. I hate it. The DM'ers do it all the time at JN and it drives me crazy. 80 too. One of the reasons he's easy to read.

In one breath your talking about how you can change your mind, in another your talking about accountability and contradictions. If were playing a game where opinions change as we gain more information during the game, then accountability and contradictions really mean nothing, right? Saying someone is town and then saying I was wrong, I think they're mafia...is the game. So how does calling someone town on D1 having any bearing on what you feel D3? That not how this works.

I do have meta on people from JN and a few you, notice how I dont use it?

you CAN change your mind but you need to show reasons for it. eg I call zander D1 town. D3 i change my mind. if i explain that its because his tone was blah blah blah D1 but now it is etc etc etc which reminds me of this game where he was scum then i can still be held accountable.

If i DONT give reasoning then, unless he is being super scummy and EVERYBODY has flipped on him, im gonna get jumped on for why I changed my read. They will literally go "but here you called him town, vote dice" v if im LUCKY they might ask what changed.

This is why and youve seen it on JN too, I ask people why when they just go vote so and so.

@ Verb, Nolder, et al... I think I have explained about as much as I can for now, especially considering i am playing on my phone from work for the next 7+ hours and have actual work to get done. I am not voting yet and am hoping for more from the middle of the list.

Everything is changeable as more info is revealed but I have given a snapshot of where my head is at. I think a few people understand where I'm coming from here (Kaylee ). If you're not sure I'm town, it's all good. You will be eventually.

I'm looking for me teammates. Since the other heathens weren't catching on, hopefully this will get the ball rolling.

Thanks for clarifying. For my amusement, can you explain what is so anti-town about Zander's playstyle?

He puts out 30 pages of content a day, and you're lucky if half of those contain game content. All this serves to do is clutter and inflate the game thread, discouraging people from reading/re-reading it, which cuts down on effective analysis.

Perhaps not, but using either of them to push a lynch for bad reasons is still pushing a lynch for bad reasons. Scummy or Anti-town, either way, he was pushing a Zander lynch because of Zanders activity, which we all know is a constant.
