How did that give you a Town read of him? Even taking into account that you think I'm scum, how has his play been better than null?

 

The only commentary either of you make is your...apparent town read of each other...you have 100 posts and you and Sooh have yet to hunt...and do not call your weak defense of my case on your slot a hunt.   We all know it is not.

I should be, if I placed any worth in your assessment of my play or this game so far.

 

I will be posting new reads with cases later, but I'm taking a little time to play FF15 right now, and hopefully the activity in here continues.

Clarification: I'm not sussing you Zander, I've seen how you work when town, and so far this seems to be you trying to get the game going and get some reads on people. However, I absolutely will begin to suss you if you continue to show that you'll say one thing and then do a 180 on it when it suits your tunneling needs.

Uh...last game. He was IC (town). You saw him work. You even knew he was town while he did it.

 

 

This is exactly why I'm not sussing him yet. But it's a flimsy pass, because I also have been very vocal about preferring to play using info from the current game over meta - even meta established in a game I was actually in. 

 

 

 

 

 

Random bugged me in small doses but I don't really have a head for him yet.  More things to work on.

 

I remember a point Marsh brought up last game about Random being overactive as Scum.

 

If that game he was super active and Town, I know its early but I felt last game his posts had more umph and substance to them then they have so far.

 

 

Zander: Last game as IC he was twice as belligerent as he's been so far with his scumhunting. There's not a whole lot of activity in comparison, but he's not flouting himself as the town champion he was early last game. I don't feel great about this so far. Slight scum lean

 

@cass while I did dig into monstr a bit, you'll notice I never voted. I was simply trying to get into the small bit of gameplay actually happening.

 

I've only played one game with Zander, it was the recent Buffy game. Dice, Calder, marsh and darthe were there too. Zander was IC that game, so he was town the whole way. IMO he played that game entire different than he has so far.

 

I'm not pushing a lynch on him just yet, but I'm good with my vote for now.

 

As for the Sooh thing, I don't consider it jumping to defend myself when someone asks questions or points things out. What I DO and always will do, is to ensure if something's asked of or addressed to me, I'll explain myself to avoid miscommunication.

 

Finally, I may be a bit less experienced with Zander than yourself or others, but when he was town that game he had the highest post count by a fair margin, and almost all of it felt townie to an extent - anti scum at least. That's not been my impression of him this game yet, so I acted.

 

More of using the Meta when it suits your need.

It just caught my eye because #1166 without context read like god this guy is a belligerent douche and then the post I started my reread from you were calling out the absence of this behavior.

The problem isn't only with asking what's going on. It's with saying he isn't going to read.

 

Which implies he will take what is said for granted. Tell me, how is that villagery? Only way for him to know what is being said is true is

A) Someone disputes it.

B) He already knows who is scum by being scum.

 

I don't see town taking the risk that what is being said is true without going back to read and check. That is a scum play if I've ever seen one.

He's said a couple of things that don't feel terribly genuine but he's at least been consistently backing them up when challenged, and it's a lot harder for me to wrap my head around people I have zero meta on. Is gun to head null even a thing?

 

So adamantly opposed to giving a read then, that's cool.

I've gotta be honest: most of what I said sounded great in my head and apparently fell flat once written. Not my best work. I don't like Zander's play, and perhaps I'll be more articulate a bit later when I can go back, or maybe find I'm the one grasping at straws.

 

Might be the smartest thing I can say right now.

At this point in the game, the only person I'm comfortable beginning a "town core" with is Marsh. I have town and scum leans on people, and I'll likely post an updated list a bit later, but certainly not ready to trust anyone as part of a core yet. 

 

That being said, I do tend to gravitate towards people who stay active and keep things moving in ways that seem to benefit town / scumhunt. But that doesn't mean I trust anyone yet

Zander literally said he just did it as OMGUS, which seems a bad reason when responding to an entire reads list.

You can claim you're being proactive, but alienating half the players off the bat doesn't exactly seem like the best way to find townies OR scum - just a way to form a clique that could be full of both.

What did you read that you would consider alienating?

 

 

He picked out about 5 names claiming them as his "town core" - for anyone not asked to weigh in, or not mentioned as the target of his question, that is alienating at this point. IMO

I get holding someone accountable for their reads.

 

I don't really get characterizing exclusion from those reads as some sort of isolation tactic. He either has a preliminary town core in his head or he's lying about the same, no?
