Well that's how it used to be, which is why I've already said I suck at day one play. Back when I played mafia here originally the day one lynch was practically a crapshoot. Then we started doing stuff based on that person's alignment.

D1 is the most important phase of the game imo. If you can establish an accurate village core that's mutually reading each other correctly you can force the wolves to take stances on each other and react awkwardly for lack of many viable mislynches.  As long as you continually reevaluate and don't let a potential misclear coast to endgame, it's going to win way more often then just letting paranoia reign until there's some mod confirmations to roll with.  There's no easier scenario for a wolf to blend into than when everyone is mutually lost.

I'd have to look at it again. It sat well with me at a glance, and that was good enough to get started. I think she's posted more since that I haven't gotten to yet in catch-up.

This forum takes D1 a lot more seriously than any other I've ever been to, in my opinion needlessly.

 

For me, the game really starts on D2.

We didn't lynch a wolf D1 in your only other game here on accident.

 

Sure, but I expect any scum lynch on D1 to be because of bad play from the scum rather than good from the town. I'm sure you would agree in the example you gave, at least.

That was a bad post BUT its also the type of Town post a Towny thats not really known or doesnt carry some clout that Wolves like to jump all over.

Yeah I think that was beating the grass. Yall seem to have some history im unaware of too.

NBC he was a villager, dropped a wolf read, I asked him to explain it and he wouldn't because I hadn't answered his question first.  I answered him, but he didn't feel that my answer was serious so he still refused to talk to me about his read and we danced for 30 pages before I finally decided if he was a wolf he'd have just given me what I was looking for and moved on by then.

 

Vs as 3P and Mafia I've known him to be fairly cooperative.

As Ive stated I prefer to be a secondary tier player to a Town Leader I can trust.

As far as I know that was all there was to it, and a bit about him not feeling comfortable making reads on D1. Apparent disinterest in why I was calling you town noted but the phase was young.

 

I'm generally null on Iron right now and need to ISO him eventually. I remember him being a fairly smooth talker in Disney, but the game was mechanically solved by the time he really got involved, so I didn't pay terribly much attention to him.

Like, games where I was highly indecisive on her because I don't read her well? I can pull up a few. Pretty sure Julius Caesar was one. Once in a while I nail her as obvious town, but I think that's more about HalliGOAT coming out to play than any effort on my end. Last time I mislynched her was Lost.

@ zander: you know I do read the thread RIGHT....so wth...I know I am er...sssssslllllllooooooooooowwwwwwwwww on the uptake bbbuuttt I'm LEARNING....It's been what...10 GAMES You would at least think I've learned something so far...I did take computer Programming in College with a GPA OF 3.89 ONLY 2 B'S 1 IN FIGURE DRAWING....YES WITH RL NUDE MODELS....

I don't want to give him a town read based solely on that though because in the Disney game he lurked on purpose so he could pull his IC trick at the end. I'm kinda WIFOMing, cause that could be his legit town meta or he could be capitalizing on the fact that half of us were in that game to use it as a scum cover.

I hate D1... I pretty much refuse to make hard reads on D1. *shrugs* I pretty much agree with you. D1 is full of  accusations based mostly on Meta which can be off or faked *shrugs* or by "gut" feels that a lot of time is purely the person's mood or feelings toward a person and not on anything that person may particularly be doing... I hate d1.

The harry potter one, but that shouldn't count because I was a sub and when I came in I was already under suspicion so i didn't play my best game... And that's the only scum PM I saw. Yes I totally admit it....I lied last game....I didn't think I would...I had never randed wolf...except darthes game and even then I didn't lie...but the last game I was subbing for someone and I had a team that was helping me along so I couldn't let them down...however if you noticed...I only said I was town queenie on my reads list....I didn't say I was town until the very end....and that was again more self pres then anything...I wanted to play the game....that being said....

I've got tink, marsh and wild as hard town and I'm leaning that way on shad and zass. Hally and kat im trying to form a read on but just can't, nol is semi baffling me, anyone else I've basically ignored thus far.
