In case anybody is wondering, what I'm "hmmming" is whether or not I believe Cory gets this irate and takes to insulting literally everyone who makes a negative comment about his alignment this game - not after declaring he was going to be doing something different early on so people saying he's different than normal shouldn't really be a surprise, but after he's been leading the campaign for people playing mafia without resulting to insulting one another because they disagree (and I really don't have any issue with anything he - or anybody else - has said this game, but anybody expecting me to be the moral compass of what's acceptable play is probably barking up the wrong tree).

There's definitely a universe where he genuinely gets frustrated at anybody that isn't 100% sold on him and snaps at them.  I'm just not positive it's this one.

And I'd be lying if I'm not ever so slightly worried that he kind of took the same approach in Matrix, which I'm 99% sure was the last game I played with him.

This is because of my post to Darthe?

I want to lynch Darthe

Tell me why that would be bad, friends

I've got nothing, other than I kind of want to see where he takes his push on Cory.  I would still lean considerably more likely town on Cory than not.  More interested in exactly how committed Darthe is to the idea.

Cory my beef with you atm is that for someone I know is very aware of the effects of thread environment to the performance of the village I am consistently finding you in arguments/making comments that are making for a bad one. I know that you're the type to wear your emotions on your sleeve and I am taking that into consideration as well but right now I'm having a hard time getting over the hump.

Please assist.

Is your read on Zander changed?

Posted

SiRReN suspected me for reasons I thought were legitimate and I had no problem with that.

The fact that we had a tiff later had nothing to do with her read on me, it was because I made a joke that was taken seriously.

bfg is fine for a wagon. darthe is in his town range, though i'm not sure what he was thinking about that zander vote so ??? and zander is a firm negative.

Why is Zander a firm negative?

Clov: thoughts on Townie Queen so far?

I have worries

I had similar thoughts.

Clov: in response to #306, do you think I sound bad or do you think I am a wolf?

There's a pretty distinct line there. I would estimate myself nullish, but anyone who tries to read me first half of day 1 and think my actions there are of literally any consequence is probably a mouthbreather trying to be a hero

Your tone has definitely been off, and I don't get where you were coming from on some stuff.  That doesn't make you a wolf, but it doesn't make you town.  And you're not exactly somebody that struggles to towntell.

I literally just wrote this in my notes.

That's pretty interesting to me too

Is your read on Zander changed?

I'm not particularly pleased with some of my disgruntled responses but this has been a weirdly frustrating game. I'm trying to do better irt: thread environment.

I'm waiting for more on Laine before I discuss my read on Zander further.

I'm not taking any "you don't do it the right way" garbage.

My job is to lynch the players mostly likely to flip wolf. There's a million methodologies on how to do that correctly and none of them are always right.

I do my best to weigh the game and figure out who is most likely to be mafia.

You work with what you got.

Cut the crap, nobody needs to read you blather about the blue collar "get the job done" mafia hunter, we all know the game and most of us know you. There are plenty of ways to hunt and plenty of ways to fake hunting and I think ive found you doing the latter. Ive got two things that cant exist in the same mindframe and a method based outside of rationale.

Seems like you and zander both think that attacking my ability to play will constitute a viable defense, getting you off the hook for actual displays of unfounded or irrational thought. Afraid that's not gonna cut it here.

Well, I see Clov stole my thunder already.

I'm literally trying to simultaneously pay attention to the lecture and peck away on my phone while the professor is turned. It's not going well.

This might have passed your post about Sili as the best post in the thread.

You're failing within ten posts of this, both before and after. Calling it now.

If I was frustrated with Zander, it was in the deep past. I've been more amused than anything I think all of today.

You, yeah, my morning wasn't pleasant. Sorry. SiRReN I discussed.

Darthe is Darthe.

I keep reading the thread making a concerned "rrrmmmmmmm" noise

There's something I don't like but I can't tell who's the one truly being insincere at the moment
