Well I'm still as confused about the Alanna and Kat exchange as I was yesterday. The point Alanna seemed to be making about Kat trying to get by with trying to appear contributive while not actually contributing doesn't seem accurate to me, but it's not a smoking gun.

Neither came out smelling like roses tbh and I just need to see more points.

 

In conclusion: idk, I could lynch the Hydra I guess.

 

I'd like to hear specifics on why others are suspicious of them.

 

Depending on how you're interpreting contributing, I really have a big problem with her statement.  I definitely don't think Kat contributed anything early on, but still made an effort to make it known she was following along.  

 

^ This... Clov gets me. I wasn't trying to contribute. At the time I posted there was some kinda thing going on that I didn't really get anything out of. Lainey called my posts fluff and me "trying to look like i'm contributing" I was letting everyone know i was here... that was all. It was in fact fluff and me not trying to contribute and maybe a little bit trying to diffuse the situation. Then I got annoyed lol... I wasn't "as wordy as I  usually am" because I didn't have anything to be wordy about? I mean... really. it was one thing I was harping on... I'm not going to write 5 paragraphs on it. When I actually get into the game and can make some good reads I'll be wordy lol... but until I have data there's nothing to talk about.

No, twice I have played with you as scum and caught you early on due to tone.  At the moment I am feeling the same way.  It is very early, but it's how I feel.  I am keeping an open mind.

 

What was wrong about me making a dig at corys changed meta? Seems fair game to mention with how often ppl use that as an excuse snd then flip wolf. Not sure cory would use that excuse but I liked his response. That last post was a little stilted, not gonna quote bc it's too long on mobile

For where they were at the time, I would argue that's a reasonable amount of effort for explaining her thought process.  Beyond that - it's Zander.  The guy basically thunderdomes everybody who even suggests he might not be town (barring one amazingly talented, wonderfully chinned player in 90's Music that was definitely NOT mafia <3 u Z)

 

I dislike the practice, but I would argue him being concerned with even the faintest of scum leans on him an hour and a half into the game is probably MORE likely to come from him as town.

Speaking of reads ya'll are a bunch of abrasive argumentative people this game aren't you.... how annoying is that... And btw being argumentative on D1 is not towny. it's just annoying and skews reads, so unless you are mafia and TRYING to skew reads by picking fights maybe you shouldn't (especially on D1) because normally it just moves everyone from honestly trying to figure people out to being defensive and shutting down and making it hard to read anyone. Also it will give mafia a good excuse to not say anything and then when you say "well why aren't you posting" they'll just say they weren't wanting to get in the middle of the fight and it gives them a perfect excuse to just sit back and watch and not implicate themselves in anyway.... it also discourages Town from posting and getting pulled into it and being implicated as well. So in other words it makes OTHER people not post and doesn't really serve a whole lot of purpose... so for the time being can't we all just pretend to be friendly if not friends?? lol 

 

 

Actually, I'm kind of saying the opposite the exact opposite.  Again - I don't really take exception to Alanna's argument.  Your post served no purpose, and admittedly, a lot of intros are that way.  But it just seemed like of unnecessary, as if you were trying to let everybody know you were following along and paying attention but not posting, instead of just coming in and contributing OR waiting until you were ready.  But like I said to Regy...I can see where that didn't come across correctly.  

 

Pretty much disagree on the bottom entirely, but that's a philosophy point with no real value to the game.

I felt like the hydra was doing alot of dirt throwing towards kat early. I didn't really view it as solving as kat put it. I tried to look for the 1 post that made me think that but i couldn't find it. Kat hasn't made any post that i really like, she is less wordy than usual, and when she repeated herself. 

she isn't posting like I generally see town kat, though in her defense she gets better as the game goes on.

 

I just generally dislike these 2 the most, and the way they interacted bugged me and i dont think they are t/t

It's not really an issue of understanding you.  It's an issue of I don't think Alanna was in the wrong to make her observation.  Other players are rarely going to know your intent - they only know your actions.

I assumed it was about Kat, and that's why I'm confused.  You said you don't think they would be T/T.  First, I haven't seen anything in the thread that makes me think that's an impossibility.  Secondly, and more importantly, you said you're beginning to rethink your vote because you think Kat is probably mafia.  Based on your stance of them not being T/T, Kat being mafia shoul dmean ??? for Zander/Alanna.

 

 

She is a gut player.  I don't see how that relates at all to my feelings that her posts sound unnaturally written.

That goes for anybody else that feels that way, too.  Because I feel like I've probably played more with Cory than anybody on this forum, and he's done nothing whatsoever that he couldn't do as mafia, and there's a hell of a lot of things he could do as town that he hasn't.  Admittedly, we're less than 350 posts in so that's by no means overly damning, but I don't get why anybody is feeling particularly good about him.

 

I have my own reasons, but I highly doubt I am going to convince anyone to feel one way or another about cory. 80% of the people will most likely be sus of him regardless of what he says or how townie/scummy they think he is.

since you want something on my feels. I liked the way some of his posts felt in vacuum. there was 1 in particularly I liked, mostly gut. which like you said, others would just think was null.

hallia is the only 1 I have above him. so yea I trust him.

I said your argument about Zander was bad.  I proved how it was factually wrong, and I explained why I think it was a good look for him.

I showed my interpretation of your posts, explained why that didn't fit with your statements, and asked you to elaborate on your thought process.

 

 

If you feel any of that makes you look bad, that's your problem.  I'll be over here trying to figure out people's alignment - including yours.
