I'm going to re-explain my read on John, I find him to be a very analytical player from the ragnorak game and the time I replaced him. As I was catching up it looked like agreeing with his earlier talks but I forget that he had this one post despite the agreeing that caught my eye.

 

Somehow I've read through this whole thread twice and absorbed nothing.

 

Here goes round 3.

 

I found it fishy and then I connected it mostly with agreements of mechanical things early which is a thing scum do if they have trouble posting. His lack of scum hunting while reading this thread 3 times already is kind of alarming.

Has anyone here played with Celeste much? I'm starting to get the feeling of frustrated townie bc I feel like I would want to be cleaner, I guess, if I were scum and being strung up, but I don't know if I'm being paranoid.

IF Zander flips scum, I don't see us getting a lot of useful information, but yay us.... but IF he flips town, I have yet to really see anyone post how the benefit of it outweighs the cost of a mislynch, and I think what is making this situation worse if the flippant attitude this fact is being treated with... as though killing a townie is acceptable in this instance because we are already so committed to it and trying to get a train going somewhere else will be too hard.

 

Honestly, I hate this argument.

 

Since when does town lynch the player that will "give the most benefit if mislynched". Like, if he's the player they believe most likely to be scum, that's where they should vote. That's... how the game works? PBF, you yourself are a player who digs her heels in when you suspect someone of being scum and they dodge the lynch, where is this "a lynch needs to provide information if its wrong!" attitude coming from?

For those who apparently cant read my argument is not about zander. its about LENLO! majority of people wanna lynch that slot then lynch it.  ive already told you im staying out of making a decision there. My problem is lens thinking, About that he isnt even CONSIDERING he may be wrong yet hes the one proclaiming good things will come from that lynch. Well they will if its scum  but what if it isnt?

Yes, I was the one who asked :) I don't know if three hours is too little time but maybe you wouldn't mind reading AJ's argument for voting Celeste and her response? I think it's good to have as many viewpoints on it as possible.

 

I understand if you'd rather not, but I don't see Lenlo getting lynched today, so unless that's what you're after, I'd appreciate your input.

Dice, I think Lenlo explained it earlier in response to my comment on the debate-- I don't have time to find the quote now, but it was along the lines of currently he thinks she is scum, and as such trying to pre-evaluate her flipping town didn't make sense. Not sure if I paraphrased that correctly (Correct me please if I'm wrong Lenlo!)

 

So I think at this point it's less a matter of him not considering that he could be wrong, and more a matter of he's just not discussing it because he feels there is no point until after Celeste flips. I think we are all thinking about the possibility of Celeste being town atp, but since she hasn't been able to make  convincing argument, the train on her isn't going to disband over the possibility.

 

I understand where you are coming from-- he's tunneled and committed to staying that way and you are pointing out that behavior as an odd marker(correct?), because it can be a scum-tell when someone is like "I'm 100%, no way can I be wrong, there's no chance I could be so let's stop discussing it."

 

But Lenlo hasn't shut you down. He even asked others to try and explain what you were getting at, and is still discussing it, albeit with him misunderstanding in this case what you are making a point on.

Just because I'm better at one doesn't mean I can't do the other 

 

Mostly it's impressions from posts (No, really, right?). I don't have time to go over them in detail today, and it looks like I won't get to casing until after the DL. 

 

For several of the town reads it's based on clear, open logic. A couple are gut. 

 

Sili's pre-20 posts are bad. Post-20 don't assuage me. 

 

And everyone else has beaten the Zander/Celeste horse to death. 

 

There were some early things with Dice, and I really don't like where he's coming from in the argument he's having with Len. Worst case, he knows Celeste will flip town and he's trying to make Len look bad for it. Best case, he's starting a stupid argument that could be applied to any lynch ever. What happens if the slot flips town? Same thing as every other mislynch ever. There's not enough information for us to figure out much more based on it yet. I mean, you could make this argument Day 5 where you've got several other flips and trains to try to guess other alignments. But at the end of the day, the name of the game is lynch the scummy people.

He seems to be operating under the assumption that the slot can't and never would flip mafia.
