One thing I dont get, but dont have time for right now, is why Clov is taking such issue with him being potential scum. That is how this game works. No one is calling for him to be lynched. So dont understand being so bothered by it.

I read the prelude and her calming down rapidly does not make it look better. It makes it look even more like a poor overreaction when fairly questioned that then got dialed back.

And I dont care that you dont like that I am defending Celeste. She put herself in a precarious situation and needs defending here. But, I like to see someone so annoyed that Laine is being pushed friend.

 

 

No, it makes it make sense. Less sense for a weak Fi, more sense for an Fe. Even still it is not unrelatable. If it was not a real reaction she would have been more likely to go away after instead of sticking around, and it's not like it came out of nowhere in the first place. Darthe was ramping up. You are allowed to overreact to Darthe.

Couldnt disagree more. A real reaction is more likely to see you step away. Since that is what she was saying. Saying I am done and then rapidly backtracking is not a good look. But keep defending her.

Boom back from DC. Friday night highway driving is not too bad.

Got to say. I stand with Darthe on Laine. I dont buy this from her. I dont think her reactions came from a townie place. Felt very scum being pissed off that they were getting called out on light reasoning.

 

I don't think Laine's reaction to Darthe was scummy like that. It happened too quickly and it is easy to see where the irritation came from. i.e. Darthe was accusing her for like ~no reason~ reactions, and Laine understandably didn't want to deal with it.

 

I guess the one thing that put me off was that I felt way more Fe there than Fi, but *shrug*, I'll just have that in the back of my mind.

 

 

By the way I think this is a really scummy push.

 

 

Her reaction to Darthe of being angry isn't scummy.  What IS a bad look is how it progressed.  I mentioned that earlier when I said it was like she was flipping a switch.  She went from annoyed with him, to raging, to depressed, back to ragey, to annoyed with Zander, and then perfectly calm with me.  How can you genuinely be so upset with the game that you're completely conceding one minute and the next minute, you're able to hold a perfectly reasonable conversation with somebody as if the previous fit of rage never happened?

 

His part about her initial response is pretty solid, too.  Darthe didn't knock it out of the park some irrefutable case, but Alanna immediately went to "your case is bad."  What about the conclusion?

 

Later on, she restates her feelings on his argument.

His case is laughable.  It's a terrible push.  But what she never seems to consider is that he might be scum.  That would be fine if he was her townread and her issue is what she thinks he's just playing poorly.  But look at her list again.

 

 

 

Lainey, give me your best guess at the scumteam right now.  I don't care how fleshed out it is - I just want names of people you think gives town the best chance to win if all of them dropped dead right now.

Sure, it comes with a caveat, but if she was actually POEing it down to four people and one of them was making just some god awful case....don't you think she might actually consider the possibility it's not just poor play?

Then you read it incredibly poorly.  I pretty much said the exact OPPOSITE.  

 

 

So read too much into my posts!  I don't care.  I would rather everybody read too much into my posts and let me know what there thoughts are than walk on eggshells like I'm going to be offended.  Going back to what I said before...Alanna basically insinuated I'm a POE candidate at this point - cool.  If she can show that her process of building that POE comes from a town motivation, I'm perfectly fine with that treatment.  If it's more likely she's lying, I'm going to murder her.

 

Same goes for anybody else.

 

If town loses this game, it's not going to be because we discussed the wrong thing.  It's going to be because we did something stupid, or did something smart but without enough information.  I am going to do everything I can to make sure those don't happen....

 

But I can't do it if everybody clams up like it's some sort of sin to question people.

annoyed -> raging -> subdued raging at herself -> annoyed with zander -> perfectly calm. is how i saw it.

I still think she is town here. I know she can be quite emotional when playing, but i don't remember her being so as a wolf. This feels like town Laine to me.

She got away D1 because Seph was targeted and mislynched. Let's not do that again. I'm not really seeing a progression in her posting either. What i would like to see would be a firm stance on all players, as in a full reads list.

like absolutely no one should be wanting to defend celeste at this point. that's the thing. she's derping hard on a lot of levels, and what she's focusing on is very shallow, and you can definitely tell that the only reason for her to bring up an SK like she did was to add a little content to her post.

Its so odd to me that youre not okay from this coming from a newbie but youre totally fine with laine doing all she has done.

@Clov I think it's similar to Tress WoW setup without the vigilante. Basic setups usually have more in common with other basic setups. Liz was also the doctor and I believe she might have saved someone or they double stacked.

Look at Penny. I went from being her top town read yesterday to being a 3P candidate today for...not dying? Zander keeps making these weak little nudges that I could be a deepwolf because...he thinks I'm a good player, when he hasn't even seen me as mafia in a normal game? I still have no idea what concerns YOU are getting at.

 

 

Alanna was straightforward enough to say that my placement in her list was basically POE after feeling good about everybody else. I feel like I've done a pretty good job of showing my thought process and motivation for basically everything I've done this game, so that's kind of a hard pill to swallow, but at least it's an answer.
