No. I already stated that I had you as null.

Well, I think we've just walked in a giant circle.

I didn't realize you were saying I might use it as an excuse to lurk even if I am town, which is a weird thought to me because I don't think towns look for excuses to lurk, but I'm getting the impression that's really what you meant to suggest, so I suppose the statement's null.

What do you think of Sooh's reaction to your vote?

...because I didn't say that. I have no idea if you are town or not. As such, I look out for things that could mean you are scum. I.E. a reason to lurk.

Do I think you're scummy? No. I have you as null.

Having you as null doesn't mean I think you're town either. I look out for reasons to think that too.

As for Sooh's reaction to my vote, I'm not sure how to take it yet. I don't remember if that's how she plays or not, and I'm not just taking her word for it. I didn't, and still don't, like the concept of leaving a joke vote on someone after stating that it's a joke vote. She hasn't stated a reason to leave it there, and her continuing to do so has bought her my vote.

Feel free to go back and look in my other games, especially the most recent ones. I tend to stay put until I have a reason to switch. Thanks for giving me one I guess.

This seems weird and reaching, even for you.

I don't read other games. I go by what happens in the game itself, and general feelings on how someone plays. I also don't listen to what someone says about their own playstyle, as that isn't to be trusted. If someone else can confirm they noticed that about you, then I will consider it.

I have a problem with you not seeing the issue of leaving a joke vote on someone. If that is indeed how you play, you should consider how that looks. This is not reaching, it's a legitimate bad concept imo.

That you would use your headache as an excuse to lurk. I thought I made that clear.

I don't understand. Are you actually sussing someone for saying they have a head ache?

I pointed out something that I saw becoming an issue. I didn't want him to use the headache as an excuse to be inactive.

I don't care one bit if I'm today's lynch. After I flip town, what I said will be looked at in a different light. I have already noticed suspicious activity, which is surprising for me this early in the game. If it takes my death for others to look at it, so be it.

Eldrick, I'm literally talking about the last two games which you were in. You have already read them. I did the same thing there.

The ONE THING I find you CAN trust about people in mafia games is when they talk about playstyle, because it can be so easily checked. Like, I don't even tend to read when people talk about their meta, because they don't have to lie about that. The most clear example I can come up with here is Pizza. If he talks about his meta, then those posts ring true because they are 100% true. You can't ever nail him on that. IF I say that this is how I play, it is because that's how I play. The fact that I pointed it out should be null to you, but should also get you to reconsider your approach to saying the initial behavior is scummy.

There is no issue in leaving a joke vote on somebody unless they are in danger of being lynched. Like I said, had Thane gotten more votes than Turin's on top of mine I would have unvoted, flat out. I wouldn't have waited for someone more scummy to come along if he was at L-2 unless I actually thought he was scummy. The only danger I see in leaving a joke vote is if they get speed lynched, but seeing as this is D1 I don't think that was ever going to happen. Then it would have been a bad vote in that I couldn't ever have blamed anyone else for a possible bad lynch.

I still don't understand this, but I'm going to let it go. Don't think I'll get any wiser from continuing down this particular path.

FWIW, if somebody has a head ache and still reads the game without posting I think that's legit. I'm often the one reading the thread from work without posting anything, just so that I don't have 20 pages to catch up on when I get home.

If you read someone as null then you DO NOT KNOW that person is NOT MAFIA.

5 to lynch means 2 votes is not gonna cause a lynch. most likely scenario is 2 mafia so need at least one more town player to vote him before that could even be a possibility.

someone is gonna eventually get two votes, what difference does it make if it is now or later?

Of course not. All it means is Sooh is probably not your teammate. Both voting someone at the beginning is a risky move.

Your reasoning is crap, though. I'm pointing out my side of it so it doesn't build on its own.

Is Sooh exactly null to you at present?

Do you think it is riskier to make the first vote or the second in this circumstance?

why is my reasoning "mother's milk in a cup"?

Why do you not want to have a train build up? Again it will have to happen sooner or later. Is it "too early" to play or is it because it is on Thane?

At the time, yes, I thought she was null. I read her vote as a joke vote, and joke votes are null.

I think the second vote is riskier. I've already covered this. You voting someone with an existing vote was the issue.

I actually don't remember why I thought this. I may have not read the spoiler. After looking over it again, I see your point that it looks like he has TMI.

I'm not against the idea of a train building up. I just thought it was building up too quickly. There was barely any discussion and someone already had 2 votes. It had nothing to do with who was being voted.

First of all, both of those games, I knew who the mafia was (at the beginning in GnD's case) and it skewed my interpretation of what people did.

Secondly, watching how long someone keeps their vote on people isn't something I tend to do. You could very well be telling the truth here.

But I disagree with your reasoning on why you left your joke vote on. It's clear to me now that it's just an issue with differing playstyles. It's a scummy move to do so IMO, and is still a good enough reason to vote you. I am notoriously bad at reading you. I usually have you in null for a good part of the game. It's still the best reason for my vote ATP.

Do you still think I'm reaching? Do you not understand why I think it's scummy? You are voting me because of why I'm voting you, are you not?

It may be a townie move, in that you are paranoid enough to do so, and it may be a scummy move in order to throw suspicion on people. Jury's still out, but right now I'm leaning towards the latter. OFFICIAL VOTE COUNT:

Eld (2) - Turin, Sooh

Sooh (1) - Eld

Not voting: Thane, Shad, Hallia, Zander, Lily, Tab

With 9 players alive it takes 5 to lynch.

So when I first read the thread, something about the way Turin reacted to Thane's post felt off to me. I felt like his reasoning was flimsy and had for some reason got the idea he was just coming up with a reason to vote someone that already had a vote.

Going back over it, I don't see whatever I saw the first time around. His reasoning for voting Thane is sound. He reacted to what was poor reasoning on my part. I don't have any issue with how he handled the situation anymore.

I'm gonna reread when I get to work today, cuz I can't mq on my phone and know I forgot some stuff I wanted to respond to.

Sooh's vote felt like a joke vote. It was null to me, and didn't feel at all like Sooh and Turin being on a team together. Someone pointed out that 2 votes matter when there's only 9 people (5 to lynch) and that is why I reacted so strongly to there already being 2 votes on someone. Felt like someone taking advantage of a vote vote to get closer to a lynch. I didn't read Turin's vote as a joke vote.

Irt my comment at shad. I know having a headache affects gameplay. I just didn't want to see you use it as an excuse to lurk.

This post feels scummy to me. It's as if he doesn't want attention. "Nothing to see here..."

WTV Eld today

I see you kinda touched on this after the fact but Im still not following your thought process.  Can you please explain?

Sooh. What's your reason for leaving your vote there now? I find it suspicious that you commented on planning to remove your vote, but didn't unvote.

I don't usually hard unvote, even a joke vote. I leave it there until I find someone scummy or more scummy. I would have in this case if there had been a quick train on Thane and more than two votes were on him, but right now my joke stays where it is

That's a dangerous way to play. What if your joke vote gets a townie lynched because you left it on them, and didn't have time to move it?

Joke votes are fine. They are expected. Leaving them on without a solid reason is scummy imo.

All roles have been sent out. Most of you are still asleep but lets get this game started.

Tress will help out with vote counts.

Deadline will probably be on Tuesday but I´ll decide tomorrow when I see how much you have been able to play during the weekend.

With 9 alive it takes 5 to lynch.

Does anyone else have input on how Sooh plays?

Is it normal for her to joke vote someone, come back and comment on it being a joke vote, and then leave the vote there?

Am I the only one seeing this as a problem?

I dont think your all Mafia lol

Eldrick is feeling forced and thats what I called him on last game.

Shad and you seemingly have a weird connection.

Ive explained my thoughts on you.

Shad seems to be buddying and defending you too much imo.

I'm leaning town on him.  What bothers you about my reasons?

Out of curiosity, why didnt you ask Turin this,  he mentioned it first.......

I either interpreted Turin's actions correctly or he's going to lie and say I did, because scum!Turin's alternative would be something like "actually it was a scummy move to shade Eldrick".

If you are town, you don't know Turin's alignment, so it takes a bigger step to call my actions "buddying" and "defending".  I want to know what brought you there.
