Only recent post I didnt like from manbat. However, frustration attacks are pretty null for a lot of players. They rub me the wrong way, but can prob write this off bc his activity level already shows his investment level.

 

Didnt you have Monstr as scum all game?

Yea I have. But, trying to reavaluate as I go. I really don't mind his recent posts. Seem like frustration from legitimate time investment. He has thrown a lot out there and seems more like a frustrated player that is town and trying to be heard now than scum angered their leader ploy didnt work.

To be honest that means we basically just have to do what we did yesterday all over again and hope for the best.

 

That said I don't think it's unlikely that there were vanilla scum/lone wolves d0 that formed into a team or changed into prs, so I haven't ruled it out.

I have seen a setup before on my site where all of the players were town and then assigned roles and the person who was lynched got to pick the team. It looks like eldrick gets to stay but I don't know Chris well enough to see if he would pull a cue5c move.

 

I wish. That sounds like fun :D

Ok, I ISO'd you, and I'm not going to do some hours-consuming post by post commentary so forgive me and correct me if any of this misreps you, but here's what I'm seeing:

 

D0 you came in dropping a lot of village reads, plenty of them didn't have an explanation but you did state your opinion often enough.  You gave clear reasons for calling Zander, Laine, and Lenlo town, Csarmi nullish, at least tried to explain why you couldn't explain your town read on BFG, explained why you backed down to a weaker read of Laine but still had her town.  You showed progression onto Eldrick and never backed off until the cfd call at the end.

 

Since D1 started you've pointed out that you were right about Zander, apologized to Eldrick while pointing out that you'd wanted to save him at the last minute.  You treated Eldrick as town but when Dice talked to you about the value of Eldrick's input you said to toss it out as he could be scum.  You explained D0 reads--reiterated why you thought Zander was town post-IC reveal and explained why you thought Laine was scummy by EoD (which you hadn't actually dropped any hint of at EoD).  You called me town when I went at you and reversed when I stopped, but didn't really answer any of my questions beyond generic "I'm allowed to change my mind", "town contradict themselves too", etc.  You talked about rules of thumb for catching scum partners for a while on the assumption that Lenlo was scum, but you never said why you voted him beyond 'attempt at pocketing denied'.  About the only game-specific and solve-relevant observation you've made is that you don't think Lenlo and Hallia can be scum partners.  You AtE 'quit' around the time I stopped keeping up.

 

I gather you're a fairly aware and experienced player.  I'm going to try to not assume that everything looking scummy on the surface necessarily is scummy for the face-value reason.  A lot of it could alternately function as reaction testing--though I struggle to buy that you wanted to lynch Laine on D0 but forgot to tell anybody.  Your D1 style is good cover for scum to do whatever you want and get away with it if people buy that it's all some test, and it's potentially productive play for town if you get results and act on them.  The problem is, it's not the game you were playing yesterday.  You were playing relatively open D0.  Since D1 something switched in your head to make you take a different, significantly slimier approach to this game.  I'm willing to lynch you for that.

 

 

This entire post is a misrep

 

I gave my reasoning for voting lenlo when I quoted the post that said "spot the pocket"

 

Almost every one of my non-joke posts have been solve relevant material and you say "you have good tone therefore you must be scum"

 

My style didn't change at all between d0 and d1

 

This guy's scum equity shot up to over 65%

I said it before. Manbat worries me because I assume hes good at the game and his first real push this game has been on me. And even that push just feels like hes gauging my/others reactions. Theres no fire or anything behind it. Hallias weirdness also needs some serious looking at imo. Its weird and weird is hard to read.

As to why, you can't just say people are "weird" and that makes them hard to read.

The others I saw were "if Lenlo is scum this is where his team mates are on the reads list", so if I'm wrong you're going to have to quote it for me.

In the meantime, anyone want to give me the sparknotes version of the past 600+ posts?

 

I got lynched for mentioning 3p and for my reason to want to lynch Zander.

 

I'm apparently a stump.

 

Zander is IC. Apparently changed from VT to IC D1.

 

People suspect JS, but no one has given a reason why.

 

There is a debate over which D0 matters or not. Did mafia exist then or not? Were only roles assigned D0/N0, or were alignments as well. There is speculation over whether everyone was VT D0, my becoming a sacrificial lamb and now a stump leading to this credence.

 

Hally is acting weird to some people. (Not me personally FYI)

 

Did I miss anything relevant?

I think that Zander's reason for keeping his vote on you is flawed. I agree with your assessment that your answer wouldn't be different, and the question was meaningless.

 

As for your alignment, I haven't decided yet. Time will tell.

There's not going to be some breaking point where if you AtE/OMGUS/do things you 'wouldn't do' as scum enough I'm going to bite them. I have pretty high confidence that you know how to play this game.

So, this is what I am going to do. I am going to sheep the towniest of the towniest person at least for this phase.

 

Praise the lord, I don't have to catch up to figure out who that person is. Zander it is !

Hmmm

 

I have a dilemma everyone.

I am town and I want to help win.

This reading one page thing isn't going to work and I see that now.

Unless I'm super active (I'm not) and read every page a it happened I have no context for what I'm seeing.

It's all mush. It doesn't mean anything to me.

 

Now, you see, we're already approaching 100 pages.

And truth be told I wouldn't even want to reread even if it were 50 or 30.

I just don't want to do that right now. 

 

So you see the dilemma.

I am basically useless doing what I'm doing but the only other option I see is falling back into what I normally do and rereading almost 100 pages.

 

I don't want to be a dick to Clov or this town and play handicapped but I swear to god I just need a break from massively rereading threads or I'll go insane.

 

So what do I do? I don't know what to do.

You've made it clear you don't understand, He's tried to explain. I'll give it a shot.

 

Everyone likes to believe their town game and mafia game are the same. He believes it is. Asking someone how their own game differs is pointless.

 

You should make your judgement on him by what he does in this game, not how it compares to other games. Unless someone else has insight on how he plays. your question  to him didn't help anything.

theres been a lot of back and forth centred around monstr started by zander voting him. shad is too .

Almost page 100, I'm sure a lot has happened.

I just don't know how I'm going to get even half of what I need to know without making my head explode.

I don't think reading the last 10 pages is really going to help tbh.
