So uh... Shad isnt crossed on the first page, where everyones name is listed. Like all the dead people are crossed out, except for Shad and Eldrick. Shad is also the same color as Eldrick.

Shad is ???. To me that means he literally doesn't have a role, or the knowledge of his role is hidden.
