Now people are asking about me not being around. Question: Wheres Cass? Shes been pretty hard townread by people as well but is gonzo. Thought she was doing well early but id like her thoughts on the now.

Its not work if you enjoy it. Do I enjoy it? Sometimes. Rereading a 106 page game is definitely work though.

Pizza/Zander fight is stupid. Honestly, the only people who I /want/ to lynch today are Celeste and the missing wonder brothers, Pral and Csarmi. Everyone else has been pretty good or I think will be figured out easier later.

I disagree with you about Celeste and Nolder, agree with you about Pralaya and csarmi. Nolder less so.

Celeste is my top town read, for reasons I've already explained before.

She is definitely more involved, more focused as scum, and can explain herself better. Her reaction to being voted is common for her town play, and she even self-votes as town out of frustration.

 

Nolder because of his insistence on Pizza, though I'm doing some major tinfoil right now and maybe Pizza isn't as townie as I thought he was.

 

Pralaya and csarmi have done minimal effort, and have shown no consideration for this game (and aren't even around at EOD).

That means Pizza and Zander wolves both die before end of game, period. There's zero purpose in reducing the size of my scum team with that level of talent that early, unforced.

On day one, halfway through the day, when he had 3 votes on him, with almost 2 days remaining on the clock.

 

Sure, if they're DUMB.

 

He's always going to die. There's a 0.0% chance he survives final 3.

 

There wasn't even a possibility of counterclaim because I said repeatedly not to, and I wasn't the only person who said not to counterclaim it.

 

He was hardly a lock to be lynched. Now he is, if he's never murdered and is alive late game, or the real doctor dies.

 

Mafia claim doc, but not in that way, at that time of day, on day one. Not without ALWAYS losing Turin from their team and allowing the rest of us to possibly lynch a DIFFERENT scum d1 and then Turin still dies due to his un-retractable claim.

 

Is this correct or not? You don't have to tell me, because I know you know it is.

 

1) 3 votes isn't insignificant in this game. Especially when he was the first to reach 3 votes in the first place iirc.

 

2) If he thinks he's going to die anyway might as well claim and roll the dice.

 

3) I don't know why you think saying not to claim would necessarily stop a claim. Someone could just CC when they see his claim before seeing you say not to claim. Or they could just disregard you. Obviously we didn't get a counter but we don't know it was because of what you said. Odds are more likely in favor that Turin is legit and caught scum off guard and they missed their opportunity to counter.

 

First point: Not what I'm used to considering, but all right. That is valid here.

 

Second point: I don't think so. That's still really early. He's not halfway to maj at 3 votes, and the round wasn't half over yet.

 

Third point: I don't believe scum should counter Turin in that example. That just strikes me as really poor, when he's the doctor. He can be shot without revealing a wolf.

 

Scum-Turin could attempt to provoke a doctor claim, yes. That's why I was pretty adamant that no counters occurred, and if claims happened, it shouldn't be with like an hour left in the round. People can ignore that, true.

So, when Zander dies, and flips wolf, it should be easy to find another wolf.

 

It's not worth destroying two wolves at once.

 

It's much better to make villagers have to find each wolf individually.

 

When your meta is that you hard bus your partners, it no longer has any clearing effect.

It's a trick play to hard bus a fellow wolf day one.

 

Put it in football terms. If your first punt to the other team in football is actually a 4th down run, you might catch your opponent off guard once.

When you start doing it every game, they'll stop the run, and jam a touchdown in your face with a short field 9 times out of 10.
