I noticed that you specifically paired Zander with me and Talya with Verbal.  I'm guessing mine with Zander is because Zander townread me for a bit and then changed, but I'm not sure, mind telling us why?

 

 

Yeah, Zander didn't switch to you D1 to ensure there wasn't a no lynch, and that was odd imo, especially when he's concerned about not splitting votes.  This looks worse if you are scum than if you are town.  He also pinged me on p67.  It's really hard for me to suss him in this game considering his tone and what I remember of Laine's interactions with him but I'll do the thorough ISO and suss if I have to.  I doubt it ever comes to this, but I like to think in advance.  I do think if you or Verbal flip town we consider Talya/Zander.  AJ thinks BFG.  So there you go; future poe if flips go sour and nothing new surfaces.

Working in reverse I don't think Dice or Thane are wolves this game. If you wanna look at Laine's handling of Zander before she got hammered it reads to me like a wolf begging a villager for help, and he was voting Rand at the time. So he's probably not a wolf either.

 

Talya has been pretty solid all game and early on both wagons. One flipped wolf and the other (Rand) very likely does. So that looks good for her but I guess if you wanna get paranoid about bussing there's that. I'm not even going to consider Shad a wolf this game - I doubt we both make it to D3 as it stands. Like I said earlier, he's the Mozart to my Salieri and his game has been beautiful.

 

Pretty much leaves me with Rand/Verb/BFG and the biggest thing I have against BFG currently is that she hasn't voted anyone this game. Other than that her casework has been pretty sound.

From what I remember Laine was saying Dice looked bad and BFG said his progression (the tunnel) looked more like SW than ME tone and development wise. So basically telling Laine it wasn't scummy. Looks good for her on that note.

It is slightly unnerving how confidently you assume you know who all the scum are.  Most town keep some sense of plausibility in their own reads, its usually scum who pretend to act more sure than they are.

I had him as wolf last time to begin with, but he was third party, seems a little calmer. Although when hybrid, might make him different. At present it's a little slow.

He also had that BPV last game so that may have something to do with how he played. Calmer now may or may not be a good thing, I have him at a town lean though

You're right about Shad. I have no idea how he would react. All I know is he didn't bite. So it means nothing for him because he took the time to figure out the hole in my logic. And that is NOT alignment indicative. Which is what I said. Means nothing for him or AJ. Clears Zander and Talya FOR ME.

Verbal, if you are legit town with a vig I'd like to hear your thoughts on who you're shooting.  I mean, you would know there is a wolf lurking outside of the poe somewhere.  You're an experienced player.  I can't honestly say that if I were in your shoes I would 100% shoot Rand.  I don't know what you're planning to do but certain players are pretty impressively clear right now and I don't want you to make a bad mistake for lack of having been around for much of this game.  If you're behind and need some key quotes summaries or something let us help you.  And absolutely do not leave us hanging end of night phase, wondering if a kill came from you or scum.

Like I said, mostly a hunch. I don't really understand his progression on BFG or the explanation he provided.

It also seems that he's more off topic than not (he isn't the only guilty one of this) but there have been places in the game where I feel like opportunities were there to make observations and he didn't. For instance, the Yates test and the Thane posts a few of us have commented on. I don't remember him saying anything about these and instead he's telling us about his house. Which is great and all but doesn't catch wolves.

Maybe he's starting to like us and wants to be friends? I see what you mean, I suppose, but not getting the same hunch.

 

He does have good insight though, so if he's town, I'd like his thoughts on those topics

  

@BFG: Zander and Shad are acting the same as usual, so I'm pretty comfortable reading them both as town. I really don't see either as being mafia here; I feel like there would be a change in their play that I haven't seen as of yet.

This reminded me, another scummy read on Laine, don't like the whole feeling bad for Thane thing.  Makes me think you know what side Thane is on.

 

Middle Earth was a bit unconventional in a sense because it had two scum teams so even as a wolf I could genuinely town/scum hunt. Probably also one of my (if not the) best games to date so I wouldn't consider the standard for how I play imo.

I didn't even put him to a scummish read until I looked back to see how he behaved as scum in the Mass Effect game, because someone brought up that he wouldn't tunnel as mafia. I was more exasperated than anything when talking with Dice last night.

To the underlined: Not really, I felt really bad pushing the lynch on Verbal/Thane hydra in Star Wars because I forced the lynch to go through after getting a guilty cop read and I was kinda mean. This game though I can't be sure and that makes me uncomfortable.
