Sili's conduct concerns me. The presumably jokey "i'm not lynching these guys" could be simply a joke, or it could be trying to bail out teammates - in this case Darthe who has come under suspicion.

I'm simply reading that as "these are my two strongest Town reads." Is there a reason you think there's more to it than that?

Dae thinks I'm under real suspicion? It's Eldrick and Sand or whatever his name is. Being suspect from them might actually make me townier

Also, @Yates - did you see my explanation of Eldrick and how I thought he'd be coached better via QT than to be an obvious wolf, yet he flipped wolf anyway?  What are your thoughts on that?

Yeah. You make a valid point. He was treated the same way in the game we scummed together. I just wanted to understand where Alanna was coming from. At this point, I'd be willing to hammer...

Shad - it's fairly common knowledge for the rest of us I think that Verb doesn't do mafia on the weekends. Say what you will of it, but I believe that's why he didn't respond to any comments to him until now.

 

Yes, I figured that out a long time ago.  Verbal dusted that old post off.

It's an odd way of putting it, and combined with his other behaviour I don't like it. 

 

And re. Darthe, you have two votes on you, of course you are under suspicion. I can't get a read as you rarely post substantively and i haven't played with you before, but i'd lean town and if you bother to read my post you'll see I don't think those votes are motivated by any actual belief you are Mafia. 

 

Also, you're not getting a TL:DR - put the effort in, read the post, and let me reminisce when Mafia games involved posts of quality rather than quantity.

Ok, you're using content as in quality of posts.  I was using it as quantity.  I actually did accuse Darthe of the former in post 148, and I used lack of "engagement" how I think you are using lack of "content".

 

II went to bed last night with Darthe in my headlights, and I woke up to find Eldrick had voted him.  This is going to come back and haunt me if Eldrick does get lynched first and flips wolf (doubtful), but I really dislike Darthe's attitude so far.  Zero engagement, just pops in once in a while to remind us that good little townies will vote Eldrick.

 

Should clear up the difference in my verbiage.  I don't really have an opinion of you yet.

The only experience I have of you is the Middle Earth Game and you were ... errr...not there really and you were town. you are lot more outspoken. I didn't notice this, but interesting connection. My voting you has nothing to do with you pushing me.

 

 

You haven't really backed this up with anything, so Darhe's OMGUS post sounds about right, you are trying to make it sound like it wasn't, but I can't find anything that suggests otherwise.

 

 


1. Feels like you're defending a teammate. And he was digging a hole, that's why I kept questioning him, I wanted to see how far I could go and who would pick it up. For the record, the last I checked, he only had two votes.

 

2. Sorry about that. I'm really not that hard to read. I'm town and I want to find scum.

 

3. They were crap votes. Did you read them? Are you referring to my own vote? My first vote was a joke vote, but then he did a thing and I jumped on it. If my vote wasn't already there, I would have moved it over for extra pressure.

 

The underlined part is true. If day one isn't going, I try to irritate some people. Oops. lol

 

I'm not going to vote Darthe today unless he does something really stupid; I want to hear from him tomorrow though. He's currently in my null pile. 

 

On a different note, are you sure this is your first game? Do you have a mentor? Who are your mafia teammates?

3) Not referring to your own vote.  You defended Yates and NotBob's opening votes as jokes in the process of pushing Eldrick over opening actions that were also partly in jest.  I used this as an example of some of your arguments that felt weak and subsequently scummy to me on first read.  But I pointed this out in the context of agreeing with Aiel <3 that I need to read past that first impression, because I'm pretty confident you're town.

 

1) I hope I was defending a teammate.  He's certainly put out more text than most people in this game for us to base our opinions on.  I've stated mine.  And I don't think I was overreacting at two votes, because it's up to four now.

 

No mentor, but I did read bits and pieces of House of Cards.  You can google Shad and Mafia if it gives you any reassurance, but eh, if no one believes I'm new then I must be doing something right.

Until this you weren't sounding too bad. I can almost see why you are going for Darthe, you haven't played with him before and he can be frustrating. What is your reasoning behind sili and me?

 

 

Shad is prob getting QT info or is an alt of someone we know Sili.  Either that or he did an obsessive amount of homework to get his language right and figure out some semblence of a meta on a few people.

 

I read the mafiascum wiki and followed House of Cards for a day or two.

 

 

This I can attest to, I did see him reading House of Cards. doesn't mean much. He has definitely picked this game up very quickly or he has played before.

 

Alanna - If Eld flips wolf, I wouldn't put her out of the picture. Eld said he didn't even know he was in this game. I got the impression at the beginning he didn't really want to be here. I wonder if the reason he is happy with a lynch is because he is hoping it would clear Alanna (tinfoil - I know but I like it).

As the search party was wondering what the gigantic deceased creature in front of them was, a creature stirred behind them. "Watch out!" someone yelled, but it was too late. Kane had a creature attached to his face. The other party members rushed Kane back to the Nostromo. As they were trying to remove the creature from Kane, a sinister plot was uncovered. The crew decided to find out who was behind the plot to have them land on this forsaken rock. Accusations flew, and finally everyone pointed to Eldrick. 

 

Eldrick, Mother - vanilla town, has been lynched. 

 

 

It is now night, you have 24 hours to turn in your night actions.

Red: I questioned Darthe for a while before I voted him, and gave my reasoning along the way.  I really don't want the fact that Eldrick voted him too to brush this under the rug.  Once I looked up what omgus was I kind of have to agree about Eldrick's Darthe vote.  That doesn't make me any less suspicious of Darthe.

 

Blue: I think this is the only accusation I've thrown out there without giving an explanation.  Note that.  Sili has been highly supportive of Darthe this whole game, and I am still not sure why.  As I've said before, unless Darthe's wolf game is totally obvious I don't see how anyone can think he is obviously town right now.  Throughout page 9, it felt to me like Sili was mimicking Darthe behavior, too.  I felt I might be on to something, and I noticed that Sili voted you wolf totally out of the blue, as it seemed to me.  He declared Darthe obvious town in the same post.  It wasn't much, but it was something.  So I just quoted it and accused the three of you to see what would happen. I liked Sili's reactions.  Makes me feel a little less nervous about him.  Darthe is still at the bottom of my list.  You, you were sort of collateral for the experiment.  I mean, I'll keep the connection around in the back of my head, but that post was more aimed at Darthe and Sili.
