Also you hurt Tress' feelings and I am contractually obligated to kill any man who does that

Pretty sure I just more than made it up to her.

You have given me zero reasons to town read you. If by some miracle you're town, you've played horribly.

Also, that was the worst thunderdome of all time yesterday.

Like, Kanye should have come by to interrupt that crap.

For shame, Verbal. For shame. Better luck next time.

I like your list, but I'm not sure I agree on Wombat as town yet.  I thought I had a couple of his quotes in my MQ list, but I guess not.  I'll go dig for them.

10:49 on the 27th.  Says he will follow up with quotes from Wombat.

Wombat, I don't understand your progression on Kaylee.  FTR, I agree with Hallia's assessment of her being town based on her level of involvement and probing.  I share that read on her, but I just don't get how your read moves along.

Town lean on Kaylee through p. 6.

Ok, this is pretty clear.

Clov came in and made a joke about the scum team's identity, naming three players that haven't posted yet. You asked him if that was a soulread and then asked if it was a aussie theme. The whole post sounded fake to me and I did not care for it.

Darthe's opinion of how you usually play means squat to me. Other than mentoring you in a game, I don't think we've played together before so my focus is on your play in THIS game. And OMGUS FoSing me for allegedly sheeping Darthe (of all people! lol) is not making you look any better in my eyes. I also find it interesting that I'm getting FoSed but Darthe isn't even though, under your consideration, your content so far doesn't warrant it.

Any other thoughts you have to share?

I like this post of Nyn's.

Dammit -_-

But I don't get this.  Why 'dammit'?  You have a town read on her, but this implies you're annoyed that you agree with your town read??  Am I missing something?

Never said pushing people is bad form. Just called it ironic as I saw it you did something you called her out for.

Not really that ironic imo.  Feels like you're trying to call Sooh a hypocrite with using the word "hypocrite."

I don't read this post as a player interacting with a town read of theirs - I see this as a player poking at another player they potentially find suspicious.  Again, correct me if I'm missing something here.

Five pages in and I'm liking Cory, Darthe, and Kaylee for town this game.

Cory and Darthe for their willingness to explain the N0 peeks for the non PoG players.

My peek hasn't checked in yet.

I think we're better served following Tom the Tom's advice and waiting towards EOD to reveal. Players unfamiliar with seer cover may have troubles keeping that consistency through out the Day that wolves can see and cross them out as legit peeks. The less time there is for that, the better.

Think before you claim.

Maybe that pans out more in a long game, I'm not familiar enough to say one way or another with certainty. What I do know is that early peeks are more likely to be wrong which both increases the odds of clearing yourself as not the seer if you're mafia or of you being the seer if you got it right. It's all a strange dichotomy.

I'm confused. Are you saying that it's better to wait? I'm asking because it seems like at first you're disagreeing with AJ, then agree.

The bold sounds like you disagree with him.

Green is sounds like you agree.

Can you please clarify?

Kaylee for this.  A wolfie Kaylee does not probe this early, and ask questions.  Moving on.

Meh.  How is explaining mechanics a town tell?

This is the post I agree with Hallia on - it gave me the exact same read on Kaylee for the exact same reasons.  But the 'meh' you post implies you disagree.  But then that means you disagree with a player's town read on a player you are town reading.  I'm totally lost on your thought process.

Adding Wombat to my townlist.  Almost ready to add a certain news anchor to the list because Nyn, but I'm not crazy about Hallia seemingly ignoring everything I said about Nyn beyond my first post.

I c wut u did thar.

Not really that ironic imo. Feels like you're trying to call Sooh a hypocrite with using the word "hypocrite."

I was basically calling her hypocrite.

BAM.  Kaylee town read.

And we come full circle on you town reading Kaylee.....who you already said you're town reading.  You make it sound like this is your conclusion, but you started this way.

My problem is everything in between these 2 town-reading posts is you acting like you DON'T read Kaylee as town, though.

???

11:28, the presumable follow up on Wombat.  He's showing confusion towards Wombat's progression towards Kaylee.  Wombat would follow up a few hours later with this:

Town lean does not mean town read.  When someone I have a town lean on does something I don't like, I will question it.  Kaylee's unapologetic commitment to calling Sooh a hypocrite pushed her into town read territory for me.  I think scum would tend to try to hedge on that.  And the "dammit" was because I don't like making redundant posts that make me look like an idiot.

It's worth noting that Darthe actually provided an explanation for Wombat, to which Verb said that he was reading it differently than Darthe was but "I did Wombat if I was missing something."  Could be that he was genuinely trying to understand Wombat's POV on this, but whether accidentally or not, he's giving Wombat an out here.  He also says that if he ignores that part, he still has issues with it.  These issues are ?????? to me.  As far as I can tell, the biggest issue Verb had was how Wombat responded to Kaylee adding onto the "I like Nyn" chain.

Wombat's response to whether Verb missed something was "You're missing things."  Wombat wasn't exactly forth coming on explanations this game, but that doesn't give me the impression he was really trying to convince Verb.

Page 2

Can you bring up some Wombat posts that made you feel that way from before his posts now?

I'd like to see this as well - I'm getting the opposite read from Wombat.  I have him as slight wolf lean.

This was towards Sooh, I presume (as she answered).

So basically what you're saying is that wombat at Clov can't be read?... seems awfully simplified, but ok...

I am saying they are both players who keep their ranges extremely consistent and are very difficult to read accurately on d1

Just how it is

This is true, but Wombat's scum tells become apparent in the mid-game.  I've been pretty successful in identifying them recently, so my confidence level there is high.  I have him as a light wolf lean, and it'll become very clear to me by the time we're ready to make a decision one way or the other.

I'll be lock clearing myself by lynching a wolf today, so you can scrap the tinfoil in advance if you're feeling smart

Guess I'll take the N1 bullet this time.

People need to fear you first, though.

O_O

SHOTS FIRED

Bottom is completely meaningless to me, but the top really stands out.  As far as I can tell, Verb has made no effort this entire game to explain what this tells he associates with Mafia!Wombat are.  He said it would be very clear, but that doesn't seem to be the case based on Verb's vote; all he said is "I'm gonna lynch the guy I've been angling on all day."  This was immediately after telling AJ that if Verb was misclearing anyone, it would be him.  That sounds more reluctant than anything - Verb didn't have an immensely strong reason to vote him, but he didn't have any reason not to.

I'm not voting yet, because I still could be persuaded to vote Cass or Wombat.  Cass due to what I was talking about in my last post, and Wombat from the mini case I made on him earlier today.  Those 3 are my WTL pool for today, with the added caveat that I highly doubt Sooh & Cass are w/w.

This was at 10:30 on the 28th and came after the end of a large post regarding his stance on AtE.  True to his word, he followed up the Cass/Sooh not being together beginning on D2 (we'll get there later).

He made a couple other snide remarks towards Wombat on page 2 (such as his no RL meta), but I don't really think any are important.  I'm pretty sure Verbal would be comfortable enough joking with somebody he knows IRL that it doesn't mean much towards his alignment

Is Verbal lolcatting enough that I don't need to continue these giant posts?  Between the thunderdome comment and his "no u" towards Nyn, I feel like he's just trolling at this point.

I pointed out most of my concerns about Verbal last day with my ISO. Your ISO right now seems a tad pointless to me considering most people are on him anyhow so.... do w/e?

And you didn't answer my question Clov. It's the same question I asked AJ. You chose Verbal as your seer cover. Why?

He was my first townread that wasn't pretty cookie cutter.  If I got NK'ed for it, SHCing him would be more beneficial as of early D1 than Darthe or Kaylee IMO.

I couldn't help but notice that you didn't really have a reaction to my ISO on him and finding him scummy. Is it because you disagreed with my interpretation?

Are you talking about from a few days ago when you and AJ were discussing him?  Or was there a more recent one?

Just pulled in at work so I'm gonna type this quickly.

Cass you are a wolf because you are using evidence from D1 to case me when we are now in D3 and there's a red flip on the table. Instead of complaining about how you don't know how to town you should be trying to find who Wombat's teammates are. Do you think that applies to me? Why or why not?

@Nyn - if anything should have been learned from the Middle Earth game is that I don't really like bussing as a wolf. Distancing is necessary of course but I find it much more fun to win with my team in tact. I'm never a wolf here with Wombat. There were other directions I could've gone in over Wombat such as Cass/Dice or making a push on Verb instead. Wombat wasn't much of a decided lynch until Saturday evening and I was already voted him the previous night/morning.

I don't wanna hear about what you wouldnt do as scum. That's crap and you know it.

Okay. What I'm saying is still true though even if you take out my personal bias/interpretation of my own game. The fact remains is that I could have went after Dice/Cass/Verb. Instead I voted my #1 scum read that had been a scum read since essentially the beginning of the game. After I dropped cover on Verb and rescinded my read on him, I could've easily went there instead - but I didn't. Wombat was in no real danger of getting lynched at any point until after him and Cory had their little tussle. If I was a wolf bro with him I had no need to be on his wagon early since I could've just slid on at a later point like most others did.

I think my lynch order would be roughly Verb -> Cass -> Clov -> Have fun with the AJ/Kaylee f3 (glgl)

I wouldn't be mad if it went something like Verb -> Clov -> Cass and then hopefully post-game, tho

That's where I'm leaning.

it was a couple of days ago. I didn't ask about it cause we were still in seer cover territory. But it's not an issue anymore. AJ made the decision to drop his cover. You didn't. So I'm to assume that you were still town reading Verbal up until recently?

I didn't discuss it because I didn't feel I could convincingly argue "I read <this post by Verbal> and thought it was made him more than likely town because <reasons>" without completely blowing my cover.  If the cop was still around today, I was fully prepared to drop it and urge them to claim as two or three results should still be alive, but it didn't seem like the best move on D2.

Towards the end of D2 I wasn't feeling nearly as great about him as I had, but I wouldn't have lynched him over Wombat/Cass/Dice.  He certainly wasn't a mafia read.
