I like everything about your posts Nyn, except I don't understand why you wouldn't expect me to push Dice. Like you said, he has seven posts, and none of them are particularly townie IMO. I can either push him and see how he responds or completely ignore him for now.

I think the former is a hell of a lot better option than the latter in a no hammer game. Sooh is pretty much guaranteed to be the D1 lynch, but no matter what happens, it's not going for another day. Parking my vote there and getting everybody else to move there is going to do more harm than it is good.

It bothers me because you seem to be dancing around it. It would be fine if you were town reading her. But you're hedging on her. On one hand you're FoSing her, on the other you're defending her. She and Cass were to the most part the two players that stood out. You went with Cass. That didn't pan out and you shifted to the inactive. It just seems very convenient to me.

Regardless of Sooh's alignment this doesn't make Clov look good.

Uhh tough to explain.

We know that Cass is 100% town or wolf.

If you asked me the odds of her being a wolf here I'd say like 35%

If you asked me the odds of her being town I'd say like 55%.

That doesn't equal 100% wth Darthe brain stop being dumb?

But that's where I am.

869 is probably the simple truth.  Blegh, Cass, do better.

AND STOP RESPONDING TO THINGS FROM TEN PAGES AGO.  I asked questions because I want you to talk to me.

This caught my eye. I haven't seen your questions. I am two pages back.

That is pretty much as current as I ever get because I do read every post. Stop telling me to do better and appreciate the fact that I'm not still analysing/replying to stuff people addressed to me before page 30 - eg. Kaylee. Also, it's 2:14am and I'm slow at the best of times, cut me some slack.

@Cass-

I know you've posted some reads, but from the hip:  who are your top 3 wolves?

Wolfiest to me right now?

Probably Cory, AJ, Darthe.

Willing to admit there is a probably a good deal of OMGUS here, especially in relation to Cory cos, recency and OMGUS.

This remains a downright pitiful set of reads.  Two of the towniest and most active posters in the game and someone who had been dead opposed to one of your top wolf reads, a person who you've posted endless reiterations vaguely wolfy content about.

He was there at the moment and I feel like Cory would be a good one to read Clov. Other than that I also just wanted to see his response.

Ok i can understand that

NOPE

Skip it, talk to me.  I'm not asking, I'm a bossy person.  Your comfort zone helps you hide better.

Better response, Cass

Buying it

Thanks?

Cass I've cleared like five villagers today

Considering you've been reading every post you should know that

Remember in Cliche when you got lunched and was convinced Darthe or Yates was a wolf for misreading you? This is the big flaw you need to work out of your villager game. It isn't 100% about what people are saying about you

I can't clear villagers myself (apart from my peek if I'm the Seer) so I'm not sure why you're highlighting this but it probably doesn't matter.

Got to the bottom line. Lol. LDO. I'm trying. Re-read the last part several times as a reminder. Fwiw TY.

I think Verbal is a villager now too with relative confidence

PoE is down to Cass/Clov/Wombat as people I think could be villagers but dk yet and ???/Sooh/Dice as my likeliest wolves

I am missing a player from this list and its never good when I cannot recall who a player is

Oh it's Tress

Noooooooo don't be a wolf Tress

Move Tress up a tier and wombat down and flag me as slightly biased if necessary

Comfortable voting Sooh or dice today

Would be more comfortable voting Sooh over Dice - she's been posting enough that she should be more clear and I know Dice really is busy with a family thing.

I don't think my attitude stinks, I'm trying the best I can and I think my PoE is pretty good

Shrug

Sorry, stinks was probably overly harsh. I don't understand you yet and you'd been rubbing me the wrong way. Your attitude right now isn't that bad  and your PoE most probably is pretty good.

I really hope this isn't going to become a pattern - because I don't want it to be, I fully intended to play this game but the last couple of days has been very difficult. We had a wretched day today with loads of family drama. I finally just got time to read today's posts but my brain is mush and I don't even know what to say.

Hopefully tomorrow will be easier, we're not planning to go see my grandmother which should keep mom from having another meltdown, and there are a few errands that I need to be along for, but I think I'll have some uninterrupted time to re-read and put out some thoughts and reads... I should make her buy some more wine while we're out grocery shopping. We're all gonna need it.

Still looking forward to this. *hugs*

Cass, my super married pal, I don't need you to critically analyze and weigh out all possible tangential implications of every word.  I just want to talk.

Back and trying again. Internet repeat timed out/wouldn't let me post these replies this morning:

Cass: Since it was pointed out and you didn't address it allow me to repeat it...

How have I been pushy?

In case you missed it, answered this in reply to Clov here. Basic gist was tone, and on reflection this is probably more likely to be related to the way I read your posting style/game than your actual alignment.

**snip**

Didn't you recently tell me that you randed your first-time wolf in a Turbo?

Yeah. I didn't count that since it was a turbo. I didn't actually have to do much in terms of play style or thinking differently when playing that because it's so fast. But hey... if you feel that was a slip, then go for it.

I need to read you more thoroughly first. It's potentially suspect, and I find it odd that you wouldn't have just mentioned the Turbo and explained it in your post but maybe not enough to vote you yet. I still don't see why you became a lynch target for your Aussie reads thing and I didn't like the quick and early votes on you for that when it and your initial explanation read as natural to me. On the other hand, you're sounding wolfier as you go along. I don't like the way you've edited everything out of the post I found you initially scummy for here, and I'm generally at odds with the direction/tone of your later responses.

For example, the rest of the stuff from the post above:

Hey guys! I'm catching up and on Page 14 atm.

I came into this game very differently than I normally do. I have been playing more games and I'm feeling slightly more confident in giving pushes and nudges to get reactions. I get that you're not used to seeing that from me. That could be hard for anyone to get over that I'm playing so differently. However, if you imagine I'm a wolf, would I not do the most to keep posting the way I have been posting every game up until now? Keep my town game as it were? It would be incredibly stupid of me I think to change my game so much as a first time wolf.

Regarding peeks. IF I was seer and choosing a N0 peek, or even just waiting for a random peek, would I post about it the way I did? If I am seer, will I put my peek directly out there or will I try to make it seem concealed? If I am seer, will I talk about this at all?

Now Darthe, and keep in mind that I'm not fully up to speed since I haven't read all the pages yet. It looked to me in the beginning as though he was way too preoccupied with instructing people how to seer, and at the same time it seemed a bit like in the thread seer hunting. It stood out for me, and I'm waiting to read now if that's what AJ meant with his post early on. I also still have to go back to my previous games with Darthe and see if he had an early town read on me there.

What exactly do you mean about your game opening being 'different' this time compared to others? Can you highlight specific differences?

From the games I've played with you, I just don't/didn't see it. You making that a big deal and suggesting it's the reason people are reading you 'incorrectly' scummy here feels off. I don't recall people voting/pushing you for that in this game. I was more comfortable with your self-defence when you mentioned it was common for you to be called scummy in your early posts. Switching here feels like you're scrambling for any defence that may work since the initial one failed.

2. Ok, with the caveat of the above. What did you make of her disagreeing with Clov's initial weak push of you, but not really following it up?

Clov wasn't pushing me, in my book. He was just giving out preliminary feelz.

Kaylee asked Clov to clarify why he mentioned Lee and me specifically, since he didn't really say and she thought all our content up until then was dicking around. My impression was that she was trying to understand his line of thought. His suspicion of Lee he explained in relation to her interaction with Verbal, to which Kaylee agreed with. His suspicion of me was that I just wasn't giving him townie vibes yet. In any case she said she agreed with him on Lee. So I'm guessing she felt differently about me. Though, I don't really understand what you mean by not following up on it. Even if she disagreed with him... other than saying she disagrees with him what exactly would you expect her to do?

/Snip

I just think it's funny that you find me scary. :baalzamon:

Basically just question him more about it, the same way as she did with the other things she appeared to disagree with. When I was reading through it stood out to me that she had questioned/asked for more explanation on other things she seemed to disagree with, but then here, where she specified agreeing re Leelou and presumably therefore disagreed with the comment on you (a comment I found weak and possibly wolfy), she didn't ask for more, at all.

I've addressed this last part already. I know she's town. The "read" against Nyn was weak and didn't need to have more asked about it. It's not like he was pushing for her lynch or even voting her.

Again not sure why you're making a big deal of this.

Kaylee, I absolutely adore you this game and in general, but please don't do that color inside quotes thing.

It was the easiest way to show what my reply was. On mobile and trying to be clear.

I like you too, not sure about you this game though.

Stopping after page 11 but I would say it's very likely that Wombat/Verb/Cass/Sooh/Dice/Clov contains 2+ wolves

I will give you a better and more concise list later but right now those are the people I am most wary of

These sorts of posts/reads bother me Cory - how am I supposed to work out if your motivation for putting wolf suggestions out is more Town than Scum if you don't provide the reasons why/encourage more discussion?

I don't like this post. Cory has provided a solid amount of detail on the reasons why he's reading people the way he is. Whether or not he is correct is irrelevant to why I don't like this post - you're blatantly misrepping him here.

Wolfy:

Darthe - forceful on early Seer cover, ?explanation in post #54, both defending/distancing from Nyn, 'pre-vote' /overly hard push on Sooh

Why is any of the bold wolfy? Ignore the part about Nyn for purposes of your response, please. Just comment on the Seer cover and the push on Sooh. What of that was wolfy?

I've explained the Darthe and Seer cover thing in response to Clov here (See the last two paragraphs of the intro and the final spoiler if you missed it).

Basically it's not the Seer cover itself I find wolfy, it's the way Darthe made posting it early such a big thing and simultaneously admitted/downplayed the potential for incorrect early cover to be more beneficial to Scum trying to find the real Seer. Basically the concern is a potential role-fishing push to encourage a higher percentage of incorrect cover.

The Darthe on Sooh push felt wolfy because:

1. Darthe was the first to vote and the vote felt overly eager - He voted in the 'stumping' phase, where votes didn't count, and when questioned brushed it off as 'pre-vote' for the day, which didn't feel sincere;

Day 1 Starts at 9PM EST and will last 48 hours:

bla_1432688400.png

You may now begin stumping. Day does not start until 9:00PM EST. Votes will not count during the stump period. This is a good time to make alliances and grease palms...

/snip

/snip

[v] Sooh [/v]

Pre-voting for day Leelou

2. I disagreed with the generalisations that went with the vote and there was otherwise no specific reasons given or effort at interaction made:

/Snip

However, I think Sooh is definitely wolfing this round. She is usually a pretty pure townie. [v] Sooh [/v]

Sooh has been repeatedly pushed as not Townie early on in all the games I've played recently with her, so I completely disagree with the rationalisation that she's 'usually a pretty pure townie'.

This was all the involvement Sooh had in the game up until that vote, none of it seems investigative on Darthe's behalf, and none of it feels decidedly off for Sooh's early game, enough to vote, to me:

Hi everyone!

I will be scarce Thursday because I have an exam, and Friday because I'm overseeing someone else's exam. Other than that I should be fine

Happy visits to Vegas, Leelou! Sounds fun!

Lol I already love this game.

I'm a little sad Cory isn't showering me with love, but I guess I'll deal with it...

hug.png

Weee!!!! Happy now!

I'm still gonna lunch you though :baalzamon:

Ok.. warning accepted, Cory.

I'm a little sad Cory isn't showering me with love, but I guess I'll deal with it...

Prob a slightly wolfy intro

AJ I have read your soul and found it needs more content

Wombat, Cass, Dice scumteam.

Soulread?

Or is it just the Aussie theme?

**snip**

I'm pretty okay at mafia sometimes, Sooh, but I don't think I can soulread people who haven't posted.

Yeah... I suppose even you can't... Oh well...

After reading this post a couple of times, I'd doubt Cass and Sooh are w/w. This type of linking together typically does not come from v/v (imo), so I'd say one of you is a wolf. My initial gut read here says Sooh. Part of that is me putting faith in the only other villager in the game I know (my peek - Darthe), and the rest is the AtE posts she's been making.

I don't normally like to line up lynches like this (it is usually wolfy), but I'm going out on a limb to say if Sooh flips town, you're on the hot seat the following day.

I agree with the bold, them not likely w/w.

I'm leaning more towards Cass atm, but that could be bias from her misrep of me.
