I started to read Pizza´s iso but I will not have the time to finish it. What made me suspicious of him earlier was that he seemed so self centred, which I took as defending himself in advance. Now, that might just be a playstyle that he uses. Some people likes to be in the middle of things and judge people on how they interact with themselves.

I´m too tired to understand all the back and forth in his posts today. I will just go on his claim and go back and read his posts tonight or tomorrow.

Lazy. Probably scum.

Too many people casting lazy votes with really digging in and looking at all angles. That is disappointing.

Ok I'm up to page 90 in this game. I don't know if I'll be able to read up in time and I need to go a few places with my roommate soon so I'm just going to give my thoughts as of page 90 and then vote on this whole gladiator situation (saw it the last time I checked in). I've skimmed over the last couple of pages as well to see what arguments others are giving either way.

First though a little something from "my time" in the game

Now that I can say this knowing you aren't a wolf...

I have a theory...

This is horse poop angle shooting. When is the last time you were right about something like this? Now look at me role? Still never.

That said, I won't be voting Aiel Heart ever in this game but that's for meta reasons. And we've had this discussion...

Where on earth did this come from? I didn't see me being mentioned anywhere in the last few pages before that.

I have not contributed to this game at all thus far and I don't recall ever playing with you so it's odd that you would be able to meta me.

Pointing out weird shenanigans

I started doing a list based off of where I am with anecdotes, but I'm out of time for that as my roommate wants to go in a few minutes so here's this, which is more gut reads based on my memories and notes but it's better than nothing. Once I actually go through and look at the posts referenced in notes it'll be a little more precise and may shift a bit

I've not liked Pizza for a lot of the game, but a lot of it was weird feeling from his posts. There have been posts I've definitely not liked about Verbal, plus I feel like he's been in the middle of some thicker tangles, and so we could learn a bit more based on how he flips. I don't like either of them, but I feel like Verbal is the better option from where I stand.

You're still 30 pages behind, yet voting anyway?

Does that sound like a pro-town thing to do? I'm practically a cleared townie here, and Pizza is still unknown.

But okay.

Last post unless I'm somehow miraculously alive later:

Don't like how the majority of the game isn't playing, or not fully reading. Sounds like a cool setup from Darthe/Clov, so thanks for having me. 20% of the game puts in 80% of the effort, and dies anyway.

This is the last time I can check in before deadline because I'm going out with some friends (also, Pitch Perfect 2 YAY). I've read through Pizza's posts and  I'm sticking to what I believed last night, so I'm going to Vote: Verbal

ive been leaning town on verbal   and yes pizza i was gonna answer you   but once he put us in the gladiator situation I was always likely to vote him. Not set in stone but very likely. Why? cause of what Darthe and Basel (i think it was Basel) did with a gladiator role. We were all mafia and they gladiatored each other to buy cred. Worked too iirc. So I tend to be sus on this role.

Saying that both pizza and verbal are striking me as Town since this began. Verbs a gladiator. Pizza claims super JOAT. I think thats more valuable a role for town so that is the only reason im gonna vote verbal. Im wishing we could no lynch here actually

Woah.

I need breakfast and ISOs and a stern talking with my paranoia. Off the cuff I know next to nothing about balance and I don't trust either of Verb or Pizza but right now I'm thinking given his experience Pizza's claim is probably equally likely to be true or false both balance and his suggested play style wise, and am leaning towards Pizza's motivation for revealing his claim being more about pushing for reasons/reactions than clearing himself over Verb.

Which is either inherently Towny for the info, regardless of Verb's alignment, or cleverly Scummy for the resultant potential Town cred, regardless of Verb's alignment.

On first skim Verb's explanation for picking Pizza feels weak. This is just gut and I need to look further here at possible motivations and who could have been his other options after his ISO.

I feel the same about Pizza on Verb.

Pizza - Why Verb?

ummmmm what? you posted a whole paragraph about how you don't have a single feel in one way or another.

I'd pretty much only just woken up after staying up til stupid o'clock trying to figure things out the night before... What I posted was a whole paragraph detailing the thought process behind what I'm stuck trying to decide. Rambling, maybe, but the bold indicates current leans and was the best I could do at the time.

I dunno Verb, it looks like the quieter people are starting to chime in with this whole thing: Talya, dice Sooh etc.

I disagree Dice, I think this is town on town violence after catching up and reading pizzas posts.

It's getting close to deadline, and I agree that pizzas role is wayyyy more valuable if true.

Thanks Verb for buying more discussion at least!

I sort of feel at this point that the speculation regarding Verb or Pizza's alignment here is wolfy.

We are most likely losing a townie regardless of who gets lynched in the morning so I think those who continue to talk about the two slots as if they could be scum are putting up a front.

What it really comes down to is which we think can be more helpful to town in the long run. Even in the event that Pizza is lying here he won't last for long because his double actions should be able to produce results and quickly. Without those results the noose will be waiting, to say the least.

I disagree, I think it's entirely important for us to try and figure out who, if anybody, is scum here (and in every circumstance), given that that's the main purpose of the game. I feel like you discouraging such talk/investigation is wolfy in itself.

Assuming they are both Townies, your last paragraph makes sense but is somewhat contradictory to your previous post. In the last one you suggested Verb would have to be lynched because going into D3 with Pizzas's claimed role and peeks would be 'pretty big', here you downplay that same role, suggesting Pizza won't last long either way. Correct me if I've misinterpreted here, but it seems like in the same post you're trying to discourage talk about who could be Wolfy and suggest that Town take out a possible strong JOAT role...

Answering questions before diving in to this.

Ask me more questions. Every bit of information I would have wanted to keep schtum about is already on the table, so at this point it is better to respond to everything so it is on record.

Pizza - Why Verb?

I had a poor feeling in my gut about him, it will take me a while to address the timing of when that began, I will point you directly to the timeframe involved.

Keep in mind, with his claimed power being activated, my read on him as being a scumbag has lessened to the point of near nonexistence- if he is a scumbag, this is his big power?

It's not particularly useful, you use it when you've already got enough suspicion on you to be lynched.

Then you have to convince town a second time to lynch someone besides yourself.

Basically, it's worthless for a scumbag to have. Its sole use would be to force a village power to claim, and it's more useful just to kill the village power.

So, we have a villager in Verbal.

In answering your question about Verbal, I'm going to be pointing at things I viewed as scummy but now, I just really cannot.

If this is understood completely, I'll walk you through my thought process.

Most of this makes sense, and I'm a little confused as to why you would walk me through your thought process on why Verb seemed scummy if you are insistent now that he is Town, but I appreciate the effort and I could undertand/agree with most of the points so ok.

I'm running out of time here, but I'm stuck on the bold. As I see it, the advantage for Scum here would be to suspend a lynch against them and possibly convince the Town to lynch somebody else instead. Scum know who their team are so they can easily pick somebody outside of that, and IMO therein lies the possibility of advantage, seeing as they were on the block anyway if they chose to use their power.

And, Pizza, i know that you're doing your best to appear super town here and now. But here's a thought lingering at the back of my mind:

You could also simply know that Krak and I are town and can be confirmed town (by being killed), because you're one of the wolves. Now, i know this is our first game together, but i'm still not losing my suspicion on you for 100%...

You'll probably understand that, seeing you're a seasoned player (that's the impression i get from you anyways)

Posted

Ok. I'm sorry if I'm wrong Verb, and I'm rushing, but yes, you have been 'pinging' me on and off all game.

There's the being willing to lynch Yates1.0 through a claim on D1, and then unvote on the spot simply based on trusting that he'd made a mistake rather than a slip, weak explanations for why Pizza was chosen for the thunderdome which is concerning to me since you were lined up for lynch and he had hinted at PR

He would guess you were town if there was only one team out there, but Darhe has said multiball, which would mean, if he was on one team, he wouldn't know for sure you were town for definite, all he would know is you weren't on his team.

Chocolate always solves everything.

Posted

That was it in a nutshell, anyway  .

FWIW, I know Pizza is effectively unknown but I'm not willing to risk the possibility of that role over someone who's been pinging and has already used their power. Even if he is just VT he's likely to be valuable. If he's wolf then well done, I guess.

I'll take the chocolate but it may not help. I hate being this slow.
