1. How did you think voting for a claimed mason would help the Town?

2. What did I do that made you think I was more the Yates you wanted to see?

 

1. I was poking to see if you would more actively be seeking scum than defending your stance.

This is factually correct, Pralaya did say he was Vanilla Town, but I don't think he was striving for lock clear status. The statement was more like a pronouncement than an argument.

 

You're not trying to figure Pralaya out, you're deconstruct his and yates' claims. Your nudges aren't accomplishing anything.

What's your stance on Yates and his claim? And what's your stance on Pralaya? Are you keeping them honest, or are you nudging them to keep the suspect pool open?

 

I've read your iso twice now, and truthfully, I can't tell what you're angling there. Don't you know we all know Yates is lying badly (or lying very well)?  There's very little point in pointing it out.

 

If we're on the same team let's get down to business. Does Yates' atrocious claim make him scum, or doesn't it? Same applies to pralaya, though in a different sense.

 

 

Also, I'm wanting to pay more attention to Wombat and Verbal and Alanna.

 

Truth is when I read Hallia's iso it flows in a villagery way. If Hallia is town, then yeah, there's scum in u 3 i bet.

 

This sequence makes very little sense to me.

 

More I thought about it the less I was convinced hallia was scum, so i decided to sit on the idea for then.

last game he acquiesced immediately to everything, and didn't care a lick about finding scum which was readily apparent in his actions.

Dice and Cass are tight and Yates is a dumb lynch.  So how is that weird?

I agree that Yates claiming this early is a bad idea. I can't see how it benefits town and it certainly doesn't clear him and Pral. 

 

I support the idea of Masons revealing early. Should one of them have died without us knowing who the other one was, the role would have been completely useless. We would know there's a powerless townie out there somewhere. Great! now one can completely clear the other, should they be telling the truth. That's the power masons possess.

 

I know this has already been talked about, to an extent, but I've been rereading, and this jumped out at me.

 

 

No.  This is the last time we're going to talk about Masons.  The power of a Mason is being able to confirm 2 townies in the game, and thereby protecting town PRs.  Scum are forced to NK confirmed townies - if they leave them alone too long, they make it to late-game and usually will win the game for town.  So this protects the town PRs - that is the power of a Mason pair.

Of course it would. I'm not saying that everyone should have one. It just would be nice to actually have one for a change.

 

I have been talking to verb about the game I'm making, and apparently what I'm used to is referred to as a "kitchen sink" style game. I like those better, because roles have a more influential feel to them. 

There are more than investigative. There are protective and support roles too. Vanilla roles are just boring.

 

 

You're basically saying mafia is boring, then.  Vanilla roles are the core of mafia - all these fluffy roles that have since been added into the game allow people to rely on them as a crutch - they can just use game mechanics instead of gamePLAY.  I prefer the latter.  Using the former is fine, but if you rely on it / prefer it, you're just shorting yourself.

First of all I was poking him to do something other than defending himself. Possibly a stupid move to mayhaps make him defend himself even more, but it worked... As for the vote I was only the second one to vote him and there was hardly any danger of a lynch.
