You'd have to be daft not to imo. I get that DMers gonna DM but somewhere like VS I'd have already been lauded for this imo. It wasn't like I masterminded anything, it was just risky play intended to throw people off in the early game and everyone chose to lvl 1 it.

El's vote isn't sitting right with me. Why post and vote before looking at your role pm?

I did it because I was able to post objectively. I had suspicions before I even knew who I was. They haven't changed.

No activity indicates that scum sees no reason to change up the wagons so I suspect that either both are wrong or that they feel confident that mine will go through. I am not wholely comfortable with a Lily lynch but it is a damn sight better than my own death. [v] lily [/v]

Can anyone remind me what actual argument there is for me being mafia? I think they were all neutered.

1. Lack of progression in your reads.

2. You don't care about finding scum.

3. When I expound my read of you, you tell me I'm a hypocrite and it has nothing to do with anything.

4. Pressured lilly and backtrack on a whim, I think it was.

5. Nolder wants you gone.

My argument for you being mafia is that you tried to case one person using info about another. That just didn't sit right with me.

To make my points about this: Voting before you know your alignment/role only helps you and thus is intrinsically anti-town. Even so, it wouldn't be a big deal had you not mentioned it. By stating it it shows that you wanted us to know, meaning that you had to think that it would gain you some favor to reaffirm a commonly held belief (that I am mafia). That's decisively scummy.

As for the second, you got caught up and noticed a loud player (one that you think is mafia and have actually given reasons for) making a push for the person you are voting to gain traction and you decide to both continue that persons motive while discrediting them in the same post?

These are the reasons that you became my top suspect. Also, if you flip scum it clears Lily and will help clear me.

How about you try to be helpful if you're town. I don't get the sense you're trying to play town and that is a problem.

It's D1 dude. Define the town and I'll make efforts to help specifically that group. Until that point I intend to help whoever I agree with and to badger whoever I suspect, a group of routinely changing individuals. Your attitude about this seems simplistic, like you have a concrete understanding of who fits into what category already. I don't.

I strongly disagree with this. If he's telling the truth about reading and voting before he knew his role - which we'll never have any way of knowing - we can trust that he genuinely felt like you were the strongest scum candidate. There's not TOO much from that, but for people that don't know him, we kinda can see how he approaches the game. Also, if he did an immediate reversal on you ("Nah, I see where he's coming from with getting the discussion going. I was wrong") and you flip scum, that would make him a very good candidate.

I'll concede him mentioning it doesn't do much good, because who knows if he's telling the truth?

The bold does not sit right with me... just because you could post objectively before knowing your alignment doesn't mean that you would or should, in the true spirit of the game.

El, can you explain why specifically mentioning you had done so makes sense, from the perspective that you're Town? At this point I can't see much potential logic behind it from that angle...

Yes.

The first (Tommy's Top Tier 'Vanilla') I found you scummy, soul-reading through your well-played defence and outbursts towards the end.

The second (PoG Mish-mash) I found you gut-scummy straight off but talked myself into leaving you alone for a while in case I was biased from the game before.

This time I find your 'defence' tone very similar to the first game, and in the skimming I did last night I found my gut read on you leaning to the scum before I really started feeling that way about anyone else.

Either I always read you scum regardless of your alignment, or every game we play you happen to be scum.

And you're stalling/didn't answer my question yet - What makes you Town here?

Say you're not scummy this time, can you explain your actions from the perspective that you're Town?

Mainly voting Nyn with the explanation that you weren't alone in your opinion of her, before you'd offered an opinion of her, and then later suggesting that you were going to argue your standpoint strongly based on the 'fact' that you'd 'cast initial suspicion on her'... where?

And lastly. I haven't gathered many specifics yet, but from what I've read over, your play is bothering me a little. Gut based on tone and the way you jumped on and then quickly off the Darthe train. Mostly because I've been reading Darthe as sus and I don't think I've seen you that indecisive about a vote you've made as Town. Can you explain?

yes I do think darthe is Town. Was only voting him because we got the most info out of it. He came back at me and he was right and i decided I didnt like either of the lynch options. The bad is I forgot this was hammer game too used to hybrid hammer I think but im not real upset that Darthe didnt get lynched.

and of course its the Future...she isnt old enough to join DM yet! look out if i come to visit her....

Villages that dont lynch ppl like darthe, who refuse obstinately without distinct rasons why theyre town, suck imo.
