@ Mrs. Clov - Yeah, that would be nice, but we can't all always do that. Trust me, I don't play "scummy" on purpose. I tried to play better this game, believe it or not.

In another group I play with, unless we are just doing it for the lulz, which happens a lot, a smart vig tends to holster the first night until they have a better feel for who is scum. I wish that had happened here. It definitely hurt town to lose us night one.

And when I play, I hope townies had made themselves obvious town so they don't need to even be considered for a vig shot.

The kill was okay in my opinion. Because there was no way to know there were lovers in the game, and no way to know Elizabeth was life-linked to a very valuable player.

@Leelou can you explain your rationale for not hammering Dice when you had the chance?

Don't give her that.

I specifically told you Eldrick was going to hammer me, and you told me Eldrick wouldn't do that and took  your time convincing Leelou. This is your fault. >.>

I couldn't help any more than I did there.  Scum team was on you with Dice, Mrs. Clov was offline and Eldrick wasn't around.  I was on Dice.  Beyond convincing Leelou what could be done there?

I just realized that Mrs. Clov may have thought I was criticizing her. I'm not and I'm sorry to have given that impression, if I did. I was suggesting a different way to approach a role that y'all might not have thought of.

Sorry, for my snippy comment in regards to it. I thought it was a criticism on me. Sorry for shooting you and Cass. I completely forgot there was potential lovers in the game. I probably would have holstered if I remembered.

I wanted to lynch scum, like I said numerous times in thread.

This thread was so engaging I followed it as if I was still playing along.

Sili, you actually made more sense to me this game!! For the *most* part I didn't actually think you/wasn't convinced you were super suspicious scum!! :)

That award went to Eldrick... You asked for constructive criticism so here goes: I've not seen your Town game but the main things that pinged for me were: Your thing about voting before reading your role PM and your justifications (felt wrong and made no sense to me, in the spirit of the game, so it stuck out to me as likely to be untrue/a tactic more likely to be employed as scum than Town); and at times your following others (in general and especially when it contradicted your previous thoughts/rationale) sounded too much like opportunity/didn't show the work or individual consideration that I tend to associate more easily with Town.

MrsClov did an awesome job of showing that sort of stuff, and even I had convinced myself she was probably actually Town. Her and MisterClov seem an incredible mafia pair, though I was still paranoid on the 'what ifs' of one or light forbid both of them being scum.

Also loved that they randed who they did.

Alanna Thanks for the flavour and setting of the game!

Thanks for playing all, and definately thank you to our Host Alanna and the co-mods for making this happen.

Sili and I posted 1141 of the 2741 posts in this game.  That's crazy.

Turns out you're a pretty good player. Respect.

Ditto Sili, we got a late start but when you and I were on the same page it was pretty awesome.

Bah. You took advantage of broken flavor. No respect!

Pfft. You were outed way before you claimed in my eyes. Not to mention that I'm not familiar with this theme so flavor didn't mean anything to me.

I liked the extra touch of indigence from players who played with you as scum :P   Especially since imo you change your play frequently. So the whole pointing out stuff you did as if you're gonna mimic that every game if you rolled the same alignment looked fake like hell. I'd buy it from someone like Sili, but not you.

So what are you even talking about yates?

Let me give you another specific example of what I was talking about above. You were drawing a line in the sand saying that because you were Merlin we HAD to think you were Town. You also assumed that Lancelot, Arthur. and Guinevere were not only in the game but that if they were they HAD to be Town. In Alanna's current setup? That's true. It shouldn't be, though, is what I'm saying. If she took those character claims and randomized them against roles and alignments? Arthur could be Town or Mafia GF. Prevents character claims from breaking the game. Actually, Alanna's current setup had a double sin. In her current setup if you knew a player's character you could guess at their role. It could even be explained later as Mordred disguised as Arthur upon his death or something like that so it's still fun and in keeping with her narrative.

All you're doing here is proving that flavor wasn't a deciding factor in the end... considering Sili got lynched regardless lol

lol  You're better off slum dunking it into a trash... but no account for taste.

I think it mostly has a lot to do with her not playing with you before. Without your meta at hand I think it's relatively easy to confuse your townie game for a scummy. So while it's unfortunate you happened to have rolled Lover.... and while I agree that holstering for a night is usually a good idea...... I don't hold any of you at fault, really. Mrs.Clov was being townread by many so I could get why she'd might just use it in case she dies.

Sili, I think you've been improving a ton. It was particularly easy to read you this game.

Annnnnnnnnd.... I'm done for now. Might be back later after I'm done with errands with more thoughts.

Mostly I'm joking.

Though in 20/20 hindsight, if we press leelou for a quick decision perhaps we win in that spot. The day ended up being, basically, a race against time. i.e. how well town could coordinate vs. how well scum could coordinate.

Sili was easy to read this game - when I said I wasn't 100% sure of his claim, I meant I assumed there were restrictions that he wasn't telling us about, or possibly a weird gambit... the only time I thought he was mafia was after he was hammered and I hoped that he was :/

Just wasn't confident enough to press the read when there was so much of the game I missed, sorry!
