I mean I don't know who he was counter claiming. You said he was counter claiming somsone. I missed it completly. Who was he counter claiming?

then what exactly do you think was Sili's claim?

Sorry I missed deadline yesterday - I don't really have an excuse, I just kind of, um, forgot lol. Not sure I would've placed a vote anyway, though, with what there was.

I haven't read the last page or so, but for now - Pral looks kinda bad right now for his first post, where it looks like he tried to nudge suspicion away from Sili. Slight town reads on Nyn, Red, Krak.

I didn't really read Arsis's "soft claim" as such; it just felt like Arsis being contrary to Yates which, you know, not out of character for him. He's worth looking at for his soft defense of Sili though.

I think the Tina-Red stuff is probably town-on-town, but still gonna keep an eye on Tina here.

He claimed tracker? What he claimed wasn't really important to me. He was obviously lying about it. I just wasn't sure if it was because he was scum or because sili does things like that.

Great scene, Nolder!

Answer to Red´s post.

First: When I ask questions it is because I want someone to clarify something,  because I don´t understand the point or because I don´t understand the language. That is all.

Copied from Red´s post and my notes:

NRC centered casing

1. attempt to set up a puppeteering move on Yates claim

I don´t know how much you have played with Yates but him claiming something or hinting at a role/character is something he does a lot. It´s nothing I´m taking serious.

2. hyper-tunneling on 1 person

Yes, when I started questioning you there wasn´t much else to talk about. As I said above, Yates claiming means nothing. To make it clear - yes, I was trying to start the game and see were it went. As you know, it´s not always about how the other person respond but also about how others react. In this case you didn´t answer at first. Later you did, but noone else did. So I didn´t get any others reactions.

3. statement that nothing happened in 5 pages of game play (we had a claim and a CC at this point) comes off as her distancing herself from it.

As I didn´t take Yates´ claim serious I didn´t evern think about Arsis´ post as a cc. That would be really stupid to do in the start of the game. I don´t know how Arsis plays but I know he has played before and it would surprise me if an experienced player would cc a joke claim early D1. So I didn´t see either a serious claim or a cc. Actually, I find it weird that you do.

4. hardcore pushing a case on someone without voting them. states she doesn't want to see me lynched, but is pushing hard to get her casing to gain traction.

I have already said so but I was not pushing a case. I wrote down my thoughts, thoughts that I hoped would lead to something. I don´t understand how I can say this in any other way to make you understand. Those words that you use are not right.

5. how she acts when her push on me goes no where.  its like:  hard push, people side against her, she loses steam, trys to save face by claiming it wasn't a legit case but beating the grass, then lurks after trying to distance from her previous push.

Well, as I said above. I didn´t get any reactions. There wasn´t much to continue with. The only one commenting at all was Nyn. And I did not lurk. I don´t know why you think that. I sleep, work, take care of my daughter etc. Again, that word is not true.

6. how quickly she abandoned her "beating the grass". a townie that beats the grass doesn't put all of their eggs in one basket and abandon ship into lurk mode when it falls through.  they switch gears and have a back up plan.

No lurking. Back up plan? No, I don´t have a back up plan. I do one thing at a time. I was focused on you and others reactions to our posts.

7. promises a re-read, never gives one

I did a quick re-read since I was going to bed. That is when I saw what you meant about Yates - Arsis. I never promised a detailed analysis. Which I couldn´t have given you anyway.

8. echos others "meta reasons" in regards to ignoring Yates

Are you doing this on purpose? Misreading me, I mean.  I´m agreeing with others because that is how Yates plays. Not strange that everyone agrees that it´s raining or the sky is blue. It doesn´t say anything about his alignment.

9.  says she realizes what the yates vs arsis thing is, comments about yates , neglects to comment about arsis and fence sits on the entire thing while echoing others thoughts on it

Yes, I´m not taking a stand (in your words "fence sitting") because I find nothing to take a stand on. See above.

10. goes to bed without voting knowing she'll be gone for deadline while a claimed power role is the lead vote.

Who had claimed? If you mean Sili, then he hadn´t claimed when I went to bed. I didn´t want to vote anyone because I didn´t know who to vote. It´s not good but I had to go to bed.

RC centered casing

1.  main push centered on a joke vote

Answered above.

2.  trying to case and FoS using very dated meta as a basis

It´s what made me look at it. You used to do that. Maybe you don´t anymore.

3.  gets FoS's about her case on me and starts to pull a 180

See above.

4.  the "I´m not eager to see you lynched (as you can see I´m not even voting you). I´m posting my thoughts" line is contradictory to her actions.  post thoughts =/= being persistent in pressuring one person and hyper-tunneling on them.

See above.

I don´t like how you use certain words to describe what I´m doing and I wonder if you are trying to misread me on purpose.

I still think Red was so certain about what Sili was planning because he was on his team. But, I wasn't really paying close attention last night. I just don't like Red so far.

Why are you guys talking about me like I'm already dead? I mean, I'm not Arsis or anything...

I'm NotArsis.

1. attempt to set up a puppeteering move on Yates claim

I don´t know how much you have played with Yates but him claiming something or hinting at a role/character is something he does a lot. It´s nothing I´m taking serious.

meta is not something i've ever taken to heart. its wikipedia. great as a starting point to get a skim-read of the facts, but never to be cited as legit research or evidence.

i dont care if its in his meta to always claim, and i do know its in his meta, its still worth taking note of because a claim, even a fake one, is a very important event in a mafia game.

2. hyper-tunneling on 1 person

So I didn´t get any others reactions.

hwo is trying to push the game into start by targeting an obvious joke vote and tunneling on it using out-dated meta any better than focusing on Yate's claim?

both of them are equal in terms of scum hunting

and what pings about the case you started up on me is less about the foundation of it (a joke vote and out-dated meta) and more about how you went about it. when the joke vote push didn't stick, you switched to meta, then switched to another thing. all still hyper-focusing on 1 person while ignoring the rest of the thread. then to add icing on the cake, was the 180 at the end where you went from "kill it with fire" to "yes-man" mode when you saw your pressure on me was giving the opposite effect (causing people to pressure you)

3. statement that nothing happened in 5 pages of game play (we had a claim and a CC at this point) comes off as her distancing herself from it.

As I didn´t take Yates´ claim serious I didn´t evern think about Arsis´ post as a cc. That would be really stupid to do in the start of the game. Actually, I find it weird that you do.

theres a difference between taking a claim seriously and out right ignoring it. you out right ignored it, thats bad juju.

and even if you dont buy the claim or shrug it off, why so aloof about a CC irregardless of the players involved.

and i wouldn't label yates claim as a joke. i dont know or care if its a real or fake claim (his meta would suggest a fake claim, but meta is a double edge sword)

a joke claim implies he did it for "shits & grins" i dont think thats the case here via some responses from yates. idk what his end game was, nor if hes town or scum; but i think labeling it as a joke claim is scummy tbh.

and no, its not wiered to see it as a CC. Yates stated he's the shirriff. Arsis responded directly to that with a "No your not". and all of this after having voted him soon after yate's claim with no reason listed for the vote.

4. hardcore pushing a case on someone without voting them. states she doesn't want to see me lynched, but is pushing hard to get her casing to gain traction.

I have already said so but I was not pushing a case. I wrote down my thoughts, thoughts that I hoped would lead to something. I don´t understand how I can say this in any other way to make you understand. Those words that you use are not right.

which was it Tina. were you beating the grass or writing down your thoughts?

you cant be doing both, because "just writing down your thoughts" means you're doing what Pral is doing. commenting on current events to get your PoV out there. you dont have a motive behind your post other than to say "yeah i'm hear, paying attention and these are my thoughts" if you were just writing down your thoughts, you wouldn't have kept on with it tbh.

"beating the grass" is motive based. you're aiming to stir the pot and apply pressure. its antagonistic on purpose.

perhaps i am using the wrong words to describe my thoughts. me and english aint so chumy all the time. but your words aint matching up with your actions, and actions speak much louder than words.

5. how she acts when her push on me goes no where.  its like:  hard push, people side against her, she loses steam, trys to save face by claiming it wasn't a legit case but beating the grass, then lurks after trying to distance from her previous push.

so you weren't just posting thoughts .. you were trying to stir the pot. you keep waffling back and forth, imo to whichever one suits your agenda better.

i say lurk because you promised a re-read. meaning that you'd read the thread and post your new thoughts on the thread while ignoring the previous tunneling on me. you did nothing of the sort and instead went to bed without voting while a claimed PR was the lead wagon.

if you didn't feel comfy voting at all, a no lynch vote was always an option. could it have gotten you pressure and a bit of poking, yeah sure a no lynch vote generally does. but a townie shouldn't be scared of a bit of poking and prodding or making such a spot light inducing move; and well a no lynch vote (especially in that situation) is infinitely more townie and proactive than a no vote.

6. how quickly she abandoned her "beating the grass". a townie that beats the grass doesn't put all of their eggs in one basket and abandon ship into lurk mode when it falls through.  they switch gears and have a back up plan.

No lurking. Back up plan? No, I don´t have a back up plan. I do one thing at a time. I was focused on you and others reactions to our posts.

so again, you were beating the grass then. not just posting your thoughts? there is a difference. i keep asking because i want you to stop waffling on it.

7. promises a re-read, never gives one

I did a quick re-read since I was going to bed. That is when I saw what you meant about Yates - Arsis. I never promised a detailed analysis. Which I couldn´t have given you anyway.

right but you could have commented fully on the event. as well as Sili's wagon. all you commented on was echoing the "not interested because meta" with yates and ignored Sili and Arsis in your post.

and yes you did promise a response post #130 "I´ll see what you are talking about Sili and Arsis."

the fact that you purposefully neglected mentioning anything in regards to Sili after you're re-read speaks to distancing from his wagon and him.

8. echos others "meta reasons" in regards to ignoring Yates

Are you doing this on purpose? Misreading me, I mean.  I´m agreeing with others because that is how Yates plays. Not strange that everyone agrees that it´s raining or the sky is blue. It doesn´t say anything about his alignment.

its less the echoing and more the ignoring that was my point.

this also has nothing to do with Yate's alignment. my focus here with you isn't whether or not yates actions are townie or scummy. my focus is on how you are reacting to the situation. and your reaction (to ignore it) is, imo, indicative of being scum.

9.  says she realizes what the yates vs arsis thing is, comments about yates , neglects to comment about arsis and fence sits on the entire thing while echoing others thoughts on it

Yes, I´m not taking a stand (in your words "fence sitting") because I find nothing to take a stand on. See above.

i'm not asking you to go "team yates" or "team arsis" i'm asking for your thoughts on it. the entire thing, not just concerning yates.

my entire point is that you purposefully neglected to comment on Arsis. why are you refusing to comment about Arsis in this interaction? why do you see the need to create distance between the two of you?

10. goes to bed without voting knowing she'll be gone for deadline while a claimed power role is the lead vote.

Who had claimed? If you mean Sili, then he hadn´t claimed when I went to bed. I didn´t want to vote anyone because I didn´t know who to vote. It´s not good but I had to go to bed.

yates had claimed. regardless of your opinion about yate's meta, the fact is this is a hybrid game and the person who had claimed a town power role was in the lead for being lynched.

2.  trying to case and FoS using very dated meta as a basis

It´s what made me look at it. You used to do that. Maybe you don´t anymore.

i've never cased a person over meta.

How do I split up a post into several quotes?

you have to do it manually

quote_zps34fc30a8.png

click the light switch in the red box on the above picture, and it turns your quotes from the bubble thing to show the grabbable html text.

the blue box is the link cod for the quote.  you can use the enter key to shift the text down and paste copy&paste the code above the text.  just make sur you manually add back in the [ /quote] at the end of each split up ... otherwise you end up with one massive quote block o.0

Yates claiming or hinting a role/character in the start of the game is like the sky being blue. It just is. Okay, silly comparison, but you get what I mean. For me it just don´t mean anything.

2. hyper-tunneling on 1 person

Yes, when I started questioning you there wasn´t much else to talk about. As I said above, Yates claiming means nothing. To make it clear - yes, I was trying to start the game and see were it went. hwo is trying to push the game into start by targeting an obvious joke vote and tunneling on it using out-dated meta any better than focusing on Yate's claim? It stood out to me more. I haven´t played with you in a long while. From what I remember that is how you played. And it´s not a way to "force you" to play in that way. That´s what I remember you for.

both of them are equal in terms of scum hunting

and what pings about the case you started up on me is less about the foundation of it (a joke vote and out-dated meta) and more about how you went about it. when the joke vote push didn't stick, you switched to meta, then switched to another thing. all still hyper-focusing on 1 person while ignoring the rest of the thread. then to add icing on the cake, was the 180 at the end where you went from "kill it with fire" to "yes-man" mode when you saw your pressure on me was giving the opposite effect (causing people to pressure you)

I don´t always try to "start the game" but I do fairly often since I´m not fond of too much spam. I´m used to getting heat for that.

I´m not seeing a contradiction. By posting my thoughts (when there were little game content) I hoped to get info - from you or from someone else. It didn´t lead to anything (except this back and forth between you and me) but maybe your answer had led me to the conclusion that you were trying to distance from Krak early or something totally different. I can´t know it before. I´m looking for something, not creating something, which I think is what you are saying that I´m doing.

Of course I could have voted for No Lynch. I just didn´t.  I´m not bothered by preassure though - I somethimes get really annoyed when people doesn´t seem to understand what I´m saying or twisting my words - but I´m not afraid to be active.

Fatman got this...

Yup. You and Red are squarely in my blue reads.

Arsis just keeps making himself look worse and worse. I'm not going to beat Krak up too bad for his vote on me but I still need to see if Krak kills...

i wouldn't label yates claim as a joke. i dont know or care if its a real or fake claim (his meta would suggest a fake claim, but meta is a double edge sword)

Couple of notes, here:

1. I agree that it would be incorrect to characterize my claim as a "joke claim." Even when I fake claim there's a reason for it.

2. What about my meta suggests I'm fake claiming, though?

I'll concede one point you were trying to make earlier. I'm really overselling this claim. But I promise you there are Town reasons for it. Either I really am the Shirriff and I'm trying to be so obvious about it that I can't possibly be telling the truth [as I did in the BT game linked above] *or* I'm providing cover for the real cop because I'm just a VT [as I did as Dr. Meg Murray in AWIT linked above]. OR, and this is the best one, I'm giving scum a chance INVITING SCUM to try to paint me in a negative light for having done this once in the vanilla game linked above. Doesn't really matter to you guys [until I have a pertinent piece of information to report] as long as you know I'm Town.

I´m not saying he is town or mafia because of it. I´m saying that it means nothing to me.

Side bar discussion: gun to the head [because it may be for all you know], am I Town or Scum? Forget my claim for a minute. Look at my play and the current game state and make a snap judgment.

Happy bday Krak :)

Thanks!

Spent the day in the mountains of Georgia with some friends. I gotta say it was a good day.

Happy belated birthday, brother.

Tell me something; does Krak kill? Assume I'll know the answer by morning. I just don't think you want to start this new year in your life lying to ME of all people...

Ahh... town. Not strong town, but probably. Maybe. Possibly... let´s say it like this, I have seen nothing so far that indicates that you are mafia.

So far I have one person that I consider strong town. I really don´t have much more. Many haven´t posted much at all.

No, that´s why it´s mixed feelings. I don´t think she would but at the same time I feel like she is trying to misread me on purpose. Let me sit on the fence for a while.
