Leelou, what don't you like about Darthe?  He seems pretty Darthe to me but I'm wavering.

He hasn't done much to improve past this:

Barm, it's nothing damning, but I just don't like Darthe so far this game. Not going to vote him yet, but I'm watching him.

A couple things that stood out was he seemed a tiny bit self conscious with Verb and Yates.

To Verb

I think I am clear on this.

This thread is now shenanigans.

@Verb, we've made it like 10 minutes into a game and you have yet to mention me.   Y u so neutral?

To Yates

I don't see myself anywhere on that list but Barm is on twice.

This slight push on Kiv felt dirty.

Lolz Kivam is used to a DM where that sort of technicality would have gained traction.  Should be fun to see how he manages.  Is Barm getting caught up on all of that by Verb off thread?

Also, his brushing off Des as always tunneling him wasn't a good look for him and then he jumped into the Seer claims with a town on DPR.

This might sound weird, but he isn't posting like a walking thesaurus and I find that as unDarthe like as you can get.

I'm so confused with you this game.  Your opinions seem everywhere and you're taking crowd census a lot.

Leelou usually is sus of me in early game and generally decides on me for sure by mid game.

W/e. No one wants to vote obvscum DPR, and Kivam is next best choice now. Has connections to scum!DPR, and has had a LOT of "padding" type posts lately where he rants a bunch about meta stuff, not stuff relevant to THIS GAME. Also think his "if I flip scum don't look into what I said" was a guilty conscience slip.

##[unvote]

[v]##Kivam[/v]

I think I disagree. (Obviously, I voted Sili)...

Wasn't there actually quite a few people on the Sili train? Has something new come up that suggests he is less scum (other than his pandering to me, now? - Sorry Sili)

I can't find the post with the last vote count without potentially losing lots of time, and I am concerned that if we start chopping and changing we're going to miss out lynching scum. I still have Kiv in red, along with a pretty definite DPR, but I chose Sili because I'm still not sure I've done my re-reads of Kiv and DPR justice, and yes - their revered status in the game has something to do with my hesitation. I think they might be scum, but I would really hate to mislynch them this early in the game. Sili, same thing goes, but not so much  *shrugs*

How many people have voted for each of these three? Who is looking like they have a majority, and, if we end up with a tie - it had better not be with anyone outside those three, IMO, due to me not understanding the modrule timestamp thing... Just saying.

Can someone put my mind at ease?

And yes - I'm asking you to hold my hand. This is the stuff I am soooooper noooby at. For reals.

Cliff notes Csarmi:

DPR is continuing to evade direct questions directed at him, and is painting anyone who suspects him as an emotional mess

Kivam is fluffing and padding a lot, ranting about stuff not really relevant to gameplay stuff

Sili reacted like he normally does to votes on him

Pray still hasn't really said anything, but claimed VT

Wombat decided to start trolling/being purposefully unhelpful

Darthe thinks I'm being "contrived" in how I keep pushing him as a scum read

Not many people showing much drive to actually lynch anyone here. Sili and Pray and Kivam are leading trains

That first point is wrong...

I've answered everyone's questions but yours. You are the only player I am calling an emotional mess.

It's not wrong. You've continuously displayed an evasiveness anytime someone asks you a direct question- it often requires them following up MANY times before you give something resembling a clear answer.

And you have also described other people as being "overly emotional" recently.

I may be an emotional mess, but that doesn't mean I'm wrong about you.

Also- anytime you've actually responded to me in a semi reasonable manner this game, I haven't gone full emo or tried starting a flame war. I highly doubt you'll ever how me a modicum of respect, but I'm nowhere near as ridiculous of a person like you try to act like I am

Your one on me is also wrong since I actually said this:

Clearly you need to flip town to get that high Yates.

).) Not one of my finer moments.

@Des, you've dropped talking about me for _______(insert reason I'm scum here)_______ several times and then later I'll pop back into a WoT with a new reason and you start pushing me again.  Why would I see that as anything other than contrived?  Would you in my position?  I doubt it.

Which you miraculously mistook and also didn't respond to.

Cass, you say you're caught up, but haven't reacted at all to my post responding to your questions that you said you really wanted answered.  That seems ... inconsistent with your other play in this thread.  What's up?

May I just say how much I hate inline colored responses? They make it hell to trim down quotes and remove the stuff you aren't addressing.

There is a 0% chance that Yates does not understand what Kivam is getting at.

There is a 0% chance that you didn't understand the point I was trying to make.

I *know* what Kivam is trying to say. I restated it for him - which you are conveniently leaving out. But I'm saying is hogwash.

Kivam's point about mafiasplaining is dead on and that's what I accuse you of brushing away. I didn't leave anything out.

I have a history with a number of players in the game. If someone that knows how I play says "Yates does or says this as Town or this as scum" and it's accurate? Who cares? That's nothing more than introducing some meta knowledge. And in this case, he was introducing meta knowledge BECAUSE HE WAS ASKED FOR IT. How this becomes "Des and Yates are now linked" is complete garbage.

Meta knowledge? Des jumped up to the podium and gave a Seer Cover seminar. He portrayed it as a mostly town oriented move, which supports you as you made the move. The connection I made was that after you made the claim, no further comment was necessary. So why bring it up?

My feeling was that you had caught some heat for the 3A bit and that Des was trying to make you look better by pointing out you townish, but not too townish move. It made you look better.

It was just odd to me so early on D1. I pointed it out. Look what happened.

I'm actually feeling okay about Des and seeing a lot of his Town tells so maybe this is all moot. But I don't like being set up for associative tells that aren't associative tells.

If his town tells include missing blatant sarcasm and obsessively posting about me, then I think we can all feel better, 'cause... damn.

Awwww guys, we appreciate you and all but it's really not necessary.

Okay. No slack offered then. The next time either of you are "confused" about something or make mountains out of mole hills, I will assign the appropriate amount of scum points to it.

Like - how you avoid direct questions, for example. Super scummy.

I've avoided direct questions from Des. Des is a hysterical mess (or maybe you didn't notice - town tell?) I could go back and forth with him, but it's all going to degenerate into an emo-personal crapfest that nobody wants to hear and won't benefit the town in any way.

I've answered other player's questions, no problem.
How you have illustrated cognitive dissonance throughout your WoT's. Super scummy.

I misspoke two names - neither of which had any bearing on the point I was trying to make. Sili doesn't even tag his quotes. This is like disregarding a post because spellcheck jacked a word. I did make both corrections as soon as they were pointed out.

How you have failed to recognize [new to DM] standard play as WIFOM. Super scummy.

Not following you here. Just because you re-name a belly-flop as a triple-gainer, it doesn't change what's WIFOM and what's not. You know that.
How you have failed to adjust your reads based on information that disproves your own logic. Super scummy.

I've been steadfast against "reads" the entire game. "Reads" are speculation. "Reads" are conjecture. I've pointed out possible trails to pick up if any of the players I named flip scum.

Seriously, whatever y'all are doing with your reads and soul-searches is pretty much just jerking as far as I see it. It counts for nada until the bodies start falling.

The only reason I haven't jumped on the DPR wagon is because I have been cutting you slack AND because I have meta info on Des that suggests that he can get tunnelly on Townies because he will find things to fit his narrative. While that is typically a scum tell, I have very recently come to realize that this is not alignment indicative *for Des*. [And when it goes wrong - it goes really wrong.]

1. You have meta info on Des.
2. It suggests that he gets "tunnelly" on Townies because he will find things to fit his narrative.
3. That is usually a scum tell...
4. Except for Des - unless it goes really wrong

These are your points. WTF is the matter with you?

This is your quote from above:

"I'm actually feeling okay about Des and seeing a lot of his Town tells"

I assume this is because he's found a great many things to "fit his narrative", like overlooking sarcasm and just making shit up, and you're crossing your fingers that he isn't really wrong?

So how about you start reading the thread for context? And try adjusting your reads when context you didn't understand is given?

How about you play your way, I'll play mine and we'll see what happens.

Pop quiz, hotshot; what's the difference between your reaction to all of the context provided surrounding "SeerGate" and Cass's reaction after Des "defended" Kivam when Cass didn't understand the "pop quiz hotshot" reference? Here's a hint; one of them is incredibly scummy and one of them is naturally townie.

Answer: Cass has no experience and no negative rep. Which is, of course, why you are conjuring Cass for your epic close. Kinda like borrowing the baby's halo.

I'm in blue above.

Re: the bolded/purpled/underlined DPR quote above...

See, despite the patented Des Tunneling, this is one of the points he's made against you that really does continue to make complete sense.  You keep characterizing his "seer cover" explanation as DES bringing it up to explain Yates' behavior as a town move, but the actual context doesn't support that.  Despo didn't just "bring it up" - he was specifically asked what he thought about Yates' claim and clearing of Dice, and he kinda had to bring up "seer cover" to explain why he was disregarding the claim entirely.   Blame it on Dice, if anyone, and unless you think Yates, Dice and Despo are mafia together and planned that little exchange behind the scenes, I do not think it means what you think it means.

If Des was the author, this motive would match with his behavior. If another player wrote the post, it's a frame-up of Des, and Yates is in a perfect position to do that.

A. I probably wouldn't have been calling myself a huge scum lean and

B. I would have had a nice robust conversation with myself this morning.

@Cass - I have no desire to cut the communication between you and I. What are your thoughts about what I've accused of your post? How do you explain knowing what you do in light that your experience has been one turbo game? Why would you cite Des above every other player when he is acting so badly - you don't see other players doing what he does, but you do see a lot of comments that say "Oh, that's just Des..." or "Des does tunnel a lot" or "he's gone #FULLDES". Why did you choose to support that, and at the same time, turn your back on Kivam?

To your question about why I've avoided Des - we have history. For the purposes of this game, it does not matter what that history is. However, I've made a significant effort to avoid his ceaseless tunneling, right up to the point where he is just making stuff up to suit his own agenda.

I'm genuinely asking you these questions as they will play an important part in the game later on.
