Spam the rest of the way.

 

Page 14: Thane agrees - thread needs more Andrej.  I post and crap, without the quote feature, the post is useless.  Was noting a DesLAMI defense of Thane (joking and being jovial is typical, not a scum tell, etc.).  Same for an Arsis defense ("uncanny" how often Thane is misread as scum on D1). Spam and a discussion of vote tags.

 

Page 15: Leelou issues a clarification and Nyn gets sultry with it. No reaction from Wes, which is perplexing. Spam until Dice tosses [c what I did there?] a "welcome" vote on Cass.  15 pages of gameplay and this is what you go with?  Dice defends Yates.  Wombat has an "ok" read on Thane (really?  Why?).  Ah - he explains in the next post: Thane's "there'll be a wolf among my defenders" stand.  Darthe with a good post on VerBarm.  Has my same read (Verb sketchy, Barm solid town), so I like this post.  Calls out Thane on his Hydrafia theory (again, +1 to me).  Overall solid post, but it's worrisome that Darthe has essentially made a post identifying everyone as town.  Scum overplaying their knowledge of who is in and who is out?  Don't know Darthe well enough to know if he's a bad enough mafia player for that (unless he's a JNer with a new name, in which case he's definitely bad enough for that, since all JNers are ). 

 

Page 16: Wombat calls out VERBarm and Yates as needing to provide more gameplay, critical of Verb's reaction to Leelou's reaction to Arsis, fan of Darthe's last post.  Still happy with my Wombat read.  Wombat votes Yates.  Leelou notes Verb has her on edge.  Sili has Darthe down as scum, Darthe offers to bet him.  Sili mentions NKing Darthe to confirm the bet.  Andrej shows up, makes an unclear comment to Darthe re his reasoning for a prior argument.  Can't recall what that was at the moment.    Andrej calls out Sili as scummy.  (Andrej-Darthe interactions are interesting here).  More on Yates.

 

Page 17: More on Yates.  On the subject of abbreviations, Darthe, Sili, what the hell did this mean: "EOD CFD?"  End of Day I got, but CFD?  DesLAMI votes Krak (why?).  Sili votes Andrej - defensive or scum read?  Andrej says Sili voted Thane as an easy lynch target. 

 

Page 18: Sili asks if Andrej is reaction-baiting. More Yates (for god's sake, this needs to die. It's either scummy or it isn't, debating every f'ing page is just going in circles.  Having never played with these guys I'm chalking it up as a very light finger on the scales of scumminess but it won't drive my decisions.  Give me something else to recap, people!).  Sili votes Wombat because Sili thinks Andrej is scum (what-the-what?).  VerBARM calls out Sili's play as incredibly erratic & defensive (yes, it is). Leelou says "that's just how he plays" (I hate meta).  Arsis says Sili's play is actually different this game from when he was just lynched as town.  I still hate meta but these claims are mutually contradictory.  Arsis?  Leelou?  What say you?  Sili says he's changed his play intentionally.  Leelou - the "that's just how he plays" line seems to be emphatically rejected.  Thoughts?  VERBarm responds to Darthe & Wombat ... cogently, I think.  Sili explains he doesn't necessarily want to lynch Wombat.

Town reads: Wombat .... Nyn, VerBARM, DESlami (note the gap; through 18 pages, wombat is as solid town as I've ever seen on day 1).

You agree with my sketchy assessment of verb on 15 and don't mention any improvement in your read of him but have him as town three pages later?

what to say    Cass loves RP, is normally playful and easy going. yes she is very much a perfectionist...shes currently studying a masters in paremedice "for the challenge" i believe she said.

 

i suxed her into this and chatted to her about how it works. I watched the turbo game   most of it live    she came to the right reads but just a little too late. I think she will have good instincts. the biggest problems i can see is nerves and being active. esp compared to how super active games have been. I got her in this cause it was sposed to be basic   well thats gone now.

I think he's scum. Yes misrepping me pretty outrageously, seems to be purposefully being evasive (NOT answering direct questions from me), and also seems to be overly cryptic in things he says. I also think seer cover is kinda meh, Fwiw. Townies leaving fake peeks that are wrong actually make it EASIER for scum to figure out who the actual seer is, and good players can leave subtle enough breadcrumbs to not get outed too easily

 

Also it's too easy to drop a seer cover post as scum in the guise of being protown, to try and get town cred.

Reasons for wolfpack:

 

aj is prodding, looking for lynches, and i think he does that as scum. i want to see more of him though, preferably interacting with someone else other than me so i can get a clearer picture of his gameplay.

 

arsis is tiptoeing. i figure that's what scum arsis does. goes with the flow, compliments people excessively, and is cautious about his nudges.

 

kivam because i think i sometimes misread scum as obvious villagers. there isn't anything excessively towny about his recap. he's going through each page baking notes, so it might easily be fabricated stream of consciousness.

 

Reason for town core:

 

Darthe. i remember tod being a little awkward in writing, and as far as i can figure darthe is usually this self-assured outside of mafia so nothing pings me about his attitude.

 

Thane is being fairly normal if a little less present in the thread.

 

DPR shot down desp which i consider to be a net negative for the wolfpack.

 

Despot is about as aggravating as usual.

 

Wombat is just a hunch.

"Fabricate an inconsistency" is going to somehow make it onto a banner for me.  

 

It's true that I wouldn't know DPR's alignment if I was faking this.  It's also true that if I was mafia I could be faking it.  What isn't accurate is that you can assume one of those and automatically disregard the rest.  I am not making effort to bond DPR and myself, but rather to get you to recognize that you are leaving some gaping holes in your logic based on your beliefs.  

 

Think of it from my POV.  I happen to know myself as town.  Why wouldn't I want to make the distinction when someone who's alignment I don't know is trying to push an angle that doesn't fit?
