I don't agree.

People 'round these parts often stay off thread as scum.

I've done it when I'm catching heat.

It's a good strategy because town is usually ADD and jumps from one thing to the next so if you can wait them out you'll be in the clear.

I think voting absent people is a perfectly legitimate strategy. Not saying it's best practice that should be employed every time but I don't think it's terrible play and should never ever be done.

I know what you are saying but how would that applicable to me? I wasn't catching any heat. All the heat was on you, LouNy, and Krak with a sprinkling of Hally in there. I think the worst anyone had me was null. I was just gone. I don't want to make too big of a deal out of this because it's game theory for post game but in general, I don't like votes on people that aren't around to defend themselves - like your vote on Hally right after she said she wouldn't be around for a bit.

My "not willing to lynch"-list is Dice, Verb, Barm, those are the three I feel strongest about (my blue list).

Can you explain why one of your strongest town reads is Barm?

I can't seem to read him at all. What seems townie to you about him?

A general good vibe from him, and like I already said this Day, his post about Cory right before end of night gave me a strong townie vibe.

Rincewind was drunk. He was also somewhere between the Mended Drum and the Unseen University and something was following him. But Twoflower was dead. He had been, Rincewind grudgingly admitted to himself, a good person, but at the forefront of his mind he could see Twoflowers daughter, who was, somewhat, aggressive.

"Look, I'm in a really bad mood today" he rounded and yelled into the dark "so either attack or slither off"

There was silence in return.

Current VC:

Nolder (1): Krak

Yates (1): Tina

Not Voting (7): Dice, Barm, Verb, Wolfish, Nolder, Krak, Hallia

With 9 alive it takes 5 to lynch

Flip incoming

Sexy LouNy (5): Barm, Tina, Krak, Cory, Verb

That is the final lynch D1.  I've been thinking about this, and did some re-reading.  In my opinion, with a 2-man scum team, they are almost FORCED to bus and not be seen on another train.  We're looking in the wrong direction, imo.

If I was scum here, I would absolutely be on this train.  I would expect scum to be on each other's train.  I know Cory was thinking otherwise - but I think he is wrong on that.  I know how Leelou plays - I think she's 100% be on the other scum's train to throw off the scent of any "wagonomics" being done.  Therefore, I'm fairly certain the other scum is on this train.

Via my own personal POE, I remove myself, the dead townie in Cory, and one of my blue reads in Barm.  That leaves Tina & Krak.

LouNy started the train on Krak - there was nothing with Tina.  No way will scum go for total distancing here by ignoring.

Krak should be the lynch today.

Are you messing around, Verb? You really think scum buses in this situation? This is completely the opposite of what I think. Also, I promise you I won't be lynching Krak today.

Verb, don't you think crossing is too obvious though?

Following your train of thought I feel like myself and Yates would be much more likely candidates.

Our votes were wasted and give no useful information.

Krak and Lee/Nyn crossing leaves a bit of a trail for someone, that someone being you, to pick up on.

It's not a bad idea but I'm not really feeling it.

I think we should leave the more wild theories and tinfoiling to D3+.

If I'm wrong, tomorrow's lynch should be either Tina or myself.

I also don't like this. It's the weaker version of self voting imo.

Everyone pretty much thinks Tina is blue so what we're really talking about here is you offering yourself up.

That's emotionally manipulative whether you meant it to be or not.

I get that you're trying to put your money where your mouth is so to speak but you went about it the wrong way this time imo.

They do it too when their partners are getting heat so they don't have to take a stance.

No need to bus or defend, just stay out of the way.

Also it's not just about heat but staying under the radar in general.

You weren't around for awhile and we wanted you to come back.

I know this is a vanilla game but let's say you're a survivor or SK, you don't need to be catching heat or even associated with someone who is in order for being MIA to be suspicious.

Sorry for not posting much today. Bad day + v. confused. And now the pizza place just delivered the wrong pizza. Is grumpy. Will continue reread and see what I can come up with after getting some food.

Nope, I'm serious.  If it were me, I'd be burying my scum vote on my partner, and vice versa - especially if we both were lynch candidates.

And I'm still harping on Krak for his early (read:scummy) D1.  He asked a ton of random questions, and did zero follow-up.  Zero.  A few nice posts in the middle of 'blah' is not enough.

Exactly why I think they did it.  Yates should remember our scum game where we hard-defended our whole team and easily won.  The idea is not that far-fetched.

You guys are not candidates for the exact reason you stated - who would make themselves that obvious of a target as scum while that EOD scenario was unwinding yesterday?  Nobody.

Think about it.  Obvious mistakes are obvious, and scum aren't making them here.  There are no noobs in this game - this is chock full of experienced players.  I'm not really tinfoiling much on this - it is a legit strategy that I would have employed myself in this situation.

I really think we can end the game on D2.

I think we're both falling into the "no scum would do that" trap and you're edging into too townie territory as well.

You're trying to outwit the mafia for something they might not have even done.

We should take a step back and review the facts.
