As far as the setup, it was Verb approved, though I apologize if it was too different for you in regards to your signing up to play a standard game.

 

AJ and dice had some great reads!  If only AJ hadn't been killed and dice had been able to get his thoughts out there a little better.

 

Arsis was definitely mafia MVP.   I feel like he understands me in the Avengers game a little better now, with regards to talking to myself in the QT *laughs*.  

 

I was in awe of Slender as he was playing; he didn't know half the players and had people pegged pretty early.  I don't think I could have done that in a new place not knowing at least half the people.

Oh, I meant to say, I was really disappointed when Vos got lynched because I was so excited to see the chaos that the vote thief caused.  Especially since that was my only contribution to the set up lol. Oh well, next time I guess!

So I'm back -- gg y'all.

 

Can't blame anyone for thinking Arsis was a peek -- I don't think I could've emphasized me NOT having a peek any more without #confirm-ing that the N1-roleblock actually Hit a Power Role. And then I didn't realize that my Arsis-read seemed too 'confident' to just be a Read.

 

Also I thought I had been too obvious as the Cop N1 when I said reading Arsis correctly 'solves' the game for us (after which I get blocked), and when Tom trolled me about Pral having claimed Cop, I thought he could be looking for a reaction that would tell whether I'M the Cop or not. So I played dumb and pretended I'd believe the joke. Still was a too-likely Night Hit -target, so eff you Scum for being Rude and hitting the New Player WHELP.

 

The lineup was fun and all-in-all I don't feel too bitter about us getting Sweeped -- there was a lot of good moments and a lot of good Town-performances, sometimes the Dealer just gets dat Blackjack and you can't help it. Town 'overextended' itself looking for Deep Wolves and me getting RB'ed N1 (completely randomly, I notice reading the Scum QT. :/ ) was a huge blow.

 

Monstr please don't quit Mafia. :( You're awesome.

 

I think I need to take a little break from Mafia for a while cause Busy, but I wouldn't mind joining another game here in the future. I also heartily welcome anyone who's interested to come play over at Vendetta Strada! :)

I think DMers generally have some problems "overextending" and trying to catch deep wolves instead of the more obvious ones. Which leads to massive v-v violence and involved players get lynched over un-involved players leading to easy scum victories. Of the places I play I think DM would be one of the easiest to be a wolf.

 

It's an ego thing, from what I've seen. Everyone wants to be the one who "caught a power player" and people get so caught up in it that they'll risk losing the game outright lynching active and perceptive players for their "perceived danger" or whatever.
