Holy cripes - Arsis was a weird non standard role, too.  I guess he would technically have been a scum JOAT?  IDK.  That pushes the limits.

What was broken about it?

I was just teasing.  The "hunter" role, though is not standard.  Any idea why Pral claimed super saint?

Hunter is basically just a modified vengeful role. From what I understand of standard it's just a game with no super complex roles or things like multiple scum teams and conversions. We changed it from "Basic" to "Standard" because it was beyond a Cop/Doctor type of game.

No idea why Pral claimed something else.

I think the biggest obstacle facing DM towns is the tendency to completely flip around when something doesn't go exactly the way they expected... or even for no reason at all sometimes.

It's very rare that one new piece of information weighs enough to completely tip the scales of the information that's already available. You don't need to completely 180; you adjust. New information should be averaged with existing information; not replace existing information.

Using one new piece of evidence and ignoring all the prior information is much more likely to come from scum pushing a mislynch, but I saw town utilizing this kind of thinking.

I also think there are some "scumtells" in use that aren't actually scum behavior but are something mafia in the past used to scapegoat someone and the idea stuck in people's brains.

If I had my way I would show you guys how to toneread, too. Darthe and Des on D1/D2 were my top town reads for a reason. TG outing himself regarding the Pral event was real. Understanding that TG's, Des's and Puppet's claims aren't gonna come from scum -- also not difficult. People that think mafia is purely a logic or a math game are wrong. There's a very distinct human element, and to my mind it is the most helpful element for solving games.

I can't believe I wasn't lynched. I deserved to be lynched.

That's said, I think one of the best reads of the game was Turin's when he called me out for "old DM wolf meta." Absolutely 100% dead on. I was really surprised when no one else agreed and I was able to tunnel him to lunch.

If I had my way, I'd let you. I'm pretty terrible at tone reading. I get that it annoys people that are more intuitive than me but that's why I always get caught up in the mechanics. Then when I try to tone read someone, I'm totally wrong - like when I kept defending Krak. I would have NEVER lynched Krak this game.

What was this, anyway?

I think the heavy defense from you and Darthe sowed enough wifom to help me out of some sticky situations.

This was one of my worst wolf games to date because I was completely in my own head the whole time trying to figure out how to not sound wolfy.

Scum did a good job distancing fwiw.

Even though I had Arsis/Monstr on my list I would've likely cleared the other had one flipped considering their interactions this game.

If we had 2 more making-good-sense town this game goes a very different way I think. I got distracted by nonsense. That's my fault. I'm sorry for the swings away from scum lynches.
