BFG, i do hope we see more of you during this game. Now, besides obviously me, who's on your radar?

At the moment Des and Lenlo, maybe Vos.

Can someone explain why Arsis is on the verge of MKing himself, I don't recall anything from the thread to give that sort of reaction?

I'll let someone else give their opinion since mine is well known.

i knew i could count on you

I'm GOAT.  So, what are your reads?  Who do you find scummy regarding the reactions to the situation around yourself?

csarmi started the discussion, BFG jumped on the occasion and Tommy made an opportunistic vote, bluntly put.

I know your solution, but not the start of it. Rereading now.

me too:

unvote

vote Lenlo

Thane is beeing very sheep this game

I'm still going to push for an Arsis lynch today.  If not I'll go Lenlo 2nd.  Darthe 3rd.  Des 4th.

Meh, not cool when he has asked to be subbed out imo.

i see that i'm being set up as lynchbait here.... Csarmi, if you're really town, than i would think you'd have better suspects than me, really.... the only thing i will confirm here is that i'm town, but that's about it. You don't buy it? Your loss. It's a game, and i'd like to play untill the end and finish this game with town victorious. I doubt it'll happen, but we'll see

The AtE here is straight scumposting.

This.

*shrugs*

if you're going after me, go ahead. You're waisting your time on me and i'm not claiming D1 to save my hide. For the real townplayers, just keep an eye out for who actually goes after me here, should help finding some wolves.

Thane, whyme fryme.  Seriously, if you're town you should be less concerned with being lynched and more concerned with catching wolves.  Make this change to your mindset and you'll both enjoy it more and likely play better/towntell better.

i'm trying to hunt for scum, for real. And i'm not concerned about being lynched, that will be town's problem, not mine.

wolves, mafia, scum, whatever you may call them

Just found it curious you said wolves. I don't think people on DM say wolves. I do, Cory does, Des does sometimes... made me cock my head a little.

There's a game called Loup Garou, with cards, and loup garou in french is werewolf. i play that game with my family, and it has similar dynamics to a mafia game. That's why i say wolves.

I really think Thane is scum this game. Flailing hardcore at the pressure now.

I might be underestimating how sensitive people can be because I don't think I overstepped bounds and while I'm going to be making an effort to be more relaxed, it does make me feel alienated when people act like I'm some evil villain when I'm trying to solve the game and all we have to go off of is discussion.

This is what happened to Yates in Dr Who and why he replaced out. Just accept that DM is a different mafia animal than anywhere else you play since this is primarily a "fan site" for a book series whereas in most other instances, mafia is THE draw. This is an observation. Take it for what it is worth. Also, if you are being called a bully for what you believe to be "no reason" just step back and, rather than trying to make sense of it, apologize, and try to rephrase. Best advise Yates could give after his experience with that last game.

I'm surprised nobody has really picked apart Des's newest posts

I would expect myself, you, CS, or Vos to have done this at some point.

Myself because I think his play has been wolfy.

You because of the same thing, I guess.  We've both been in agreement on this point so far.

CS to further convince others of what he's seen already.  I'm surprised he hasn't taken a more direct line recently, especially with others recently questioning what his reads are and with the deadline approaching.  He has Des as firm scum but doesn't seem to feel the need to convince others.  Repeatedly quoting his post where he said Des was fishing doesn't count.

Vos because he's been challenged on his Des stance a lot recently and you'd think that if he were town he'd take any opportunity to A) show us his thought process and reasoning, and B) reevaluate his reads, as town are wont to do.

I'll try to get on it at least a few hours before deadline - I have class in an hour and it lasts for 3 hours.

I'm here for the next ~hour before I have to be back at work for my afternoon shift. I'll be off with about 1-2 hours before Deadline.

Gonna skim through real quick and get up to speed and respond as I see fit

not that much in favor of Voting Arsis, we'll have to see how the replacement will do. And Vos... dunno...not feeling like lynching him. I would however vote for Darthe, seeing he usually is way more talkative in games, and isn't helping town at all for the moment.

vote: Darthe

i'd also like to see a bit more from the inactives, otherwise they might just as well be lynched in order to find the wolves.

dont like this. pushing an inactive D1. yet he also didnt want to push BFG who at the time was inactive. Dont like the put arsis off for now so he can be replaced argument. if you think arsis is mafia then lynch him. why wait for a replacement that a) didnt happen the first time and b) may cloud things because we have a new body in the slot?

Ive seen you say this lynchbait thing before. and im pretty sure you were scum then.

thane is now in my scum pile

im not comfortable with the Darthe train. partly because it is D1 and pushing an inactive feels wrong and partly cause im worried the push is based on carried over feelings from avengers

I don't think so. If we were going for inactives there are several to pick from, nor do I think it's anything from Avengers (at least for my sake).

It's more the quality/content of the posts and the attitude.

Des (1): Csarmi
Darthe (3): AJ, Vos, Des
Arsis (2): Dice, DT
Dice (1): Hallia
Vos (3): Arsis, Krak, Tommy
Lenlo(2): Thane, TG

Not Voting: Darthe, BFG, Kates, Lenlo

Need 9 votes to lynch

Deadline set on Monday Night EST 11:30 PM. Less than 12 hours

This should be current with Krak and Tom moving their votes.

Out of the 4 wagons with the most votes: Darthe, Arsis, Vos, Lenlo

I think the best option is

Darthe

Vos

Arsis

Len

In that order.

I really disliked Darthe's OP and the sarcastic tone he took. He immediately opened defensively (not a scumtell in itself) but in a non-serious manner and posted some other fluff before disappearing from the thread completely. Kind of puts me on edge. My one concern is Vos being on this wagon.

Vos I feel is kinda slimy. I didn't like how he picked me of all the people in his list earlier and later his reads seem to be 'going with the flow' of the game and those coming under suspicion at the time. I really can't recall why he is voting Darthe either.

Arsis bugs me just because the emotional play could be fake and feels a bit overdone (as well as several others this game). I don't really understand where the hostility is coming from and why it leads to such an extreme level of forcing a modkill on yourself. I've said before that I think he could be a townie, but I wouldn't be *against* lynching him per se.

Len I really just don't have enough on to get a read from. I understand the meta tell that him being absent instead of posting off-topic jokes and stuff is a bit suspicious, but meh. I've never really looked towards Len as being a potential heavy weight.

Is it a coincidence that you are using Tommy exact wording here, or are we gonna let that slide?

Anyone tried comparing Des here to Avengers? That's his most recent scum game after all.

I have another scum game of his on VS where he went deep as a wolf with me. It was impressive tbh.

(Key)

Still trying to comb through the game.

Heavy FoS to everyone trying to lynch darthe atm. He has 5 posts in this game. 5. All at the very very beginning of the game and obviously super sarcastic. How anyone can get anything from that and think it's the best option, especially with everything else that has been discussed today is, imo, ridiculous.

Lenlo looks like town to me. I've been scum with him in a few games lately and he at least appears to try as scum. I don't see that here, so makes me lean town on him.

I have a not so good feeling on Vos, so I want to go back and read an ISO on him.

Read through an ISO of Hally and it doesn't make me feel any better. Calling her town just due to her claim doesn't sit right with me as I can see direct benefit to do that as scum.

Read through an ISO of AJ and I feel better about him. So much so that I would put him in my townpile. I still don't like his ideas regarding my post (like, if you are comparing it to Avengers and my "reasonableness" then should you not consider that I didn't stick my neck out at all that game *until the end*, aka not providing reads that weren't completely sanctioned by everyone else? Also, how am I supposed to know what Krak's future posts will look like? I called it as I saw it at the time.), but I like that he went back to consider someone who hadn't been in the midst of the discussion - someone who people won't have looked at as much - and gave his ideas.
