Since I feel everyone in the game deserves an explanation.

 

First, I apologize. 

 

 

Second, what happened was I was on the train (metro, it's underground) and posting in both the QT and thread.  Obviously I made the bonehead play of crossposting.  I noticed that I had done it as it was loading and, because I am underground on the metro, thought maybe it didn't actually upload.  I hit the "X" button on the browser when it was ~1/4 loaded.  Then reloaded the page.  Bam, there it was, my QT message posted in the thread.

 

I flipped and immediately hit edit.  I knew in the back of my head that editing was okay this game, but that editing was also supposed to be for grammar reasons, etc.  I did it anyways.  Call it a freak out.  I don't know.  Then I sat there and stared at my phone for a minute realizing what had happened.  I immediately PM'd the mods asking that they modkill me, no explanation necessary, telling them I had edited a post against the spirit of the game.  They did and I went back and edited my post again to put the original content back in. 

 

Anyways, I'm still upset with myself that in the moment I didn't deal with it rationally but instead flipped and edited.  I debated just withdrawing from mafia for a while, but I don't want to let my actions this game bleed out into other areas and ruin anything else, so I'll man up and deal with it. 

 

In the end, it would have been really tough to pull out a victory but I like to think DT and I would have fought it. 

 

Good game all and thanks to Pral and Cory for both their modding and for being understanding.  If anybody does want to talk about what I did anymore, I don't mind.

Also you guys (not just Despo) keep attributing me things I just never do... things I'm completely incapable of. I don't even manipulate on concious level when I'm scum. I nevger do stuff for 'town credit" when I'm scum either. I don't see steps ahead and I don't know jack dung about the art of manipulation. I never try to confuse the thread and town cause I don't know how to. Never try to get town run in circles cause I'm just not skilled enough.

 

As scum I just do my 100% best to pretend (convince myself) that I'm town and try to scumhunt as honestly as humanly possible. That's all.

It sucked for you, but I have no problems with how you handled it.

I'll share the mafia QT if people don't mind some salty language by me.

And eh, I personally don't find what you did to be that awful and against the spirit of the game or anything. It WAS against the rules obviously but even if it wasn't you stil likely would have been caught (by anyone who has email notifications)

 

Regardless that's why I just don't allow editing at all in my games. Removes the temptation.

Also I was like 90% sure Drunk was scum for his uncooperativeness. Then I threatened to hammer and came back and acted somewhat towniesh (put it down to 50ish) saying (implying) he would have time LATER. So I wanted to see if he'd make good at that.

 

Then someone *coughs* derailed and started speaking about how it's 100% csarmi or Krak.

It was a big mistake, it happened, and trying to cover up such a blatant scumslip is well, understandable

 

I look at it this way- if this were RL mafia, there would have been no way to do what you did. So while it's unusual (since the site formats are so different) it obviously CAN happen in forum mafia so meh

I'm glad it was drunk I was having trouble with salami and Krak. Something felt wrong.

and I didn't want to bloddy lynch Krak cause I soulread him town FFS.

 

 

I soulread him as town earlier ITT (strong gut feeling he was town) but TG spew and POE convinced me otherwise

 

Moral of the story is Spew and POE isn't gospel, tho effective at times

I feel like I need to explain/apologize as well, for my self-hammer.  To copy what I said in the QT (which you will see if.when you read the DT):

 

BTW, Pral re: my hammer. I am sorry about that. 

To mostly copy what I said to Yates in PM, I had a momentary lapse where I was so supremely frustrated that all I could think about was hammering and making them react to our flip. Maybe it was a pregnancy hormone surge or something, though I'm not trying to excuse what I did, because I've never done that before. I should have stepped back and let Yates take the reins for awhile. So, I'm sorry :(. It was likely a forgone conclusion anyway, but I shouldn't have done it like that.

Very good chance you were getting lynched that day, so self-hammering aint that big a deal to me

 

Thanks for the support guys.  I appreciate it.  I'll learn from it and next time just let the scumslip ride while I trolololol until I get lynched.
