27 is the greatest year of life. Well, the greatest year if my life so far. Look forward to it and go be epic. Or some such inspirational talk.

26 is shaping up to be the worst.

Most scum wins tho

How funny was the "why aren't TG and Mynd fighting anymore" setup? I knew it was obvious and I knew if was bad. But it made me laugh and I had spent the whole game being as scummy as I wanted so why stop now?

This is a game where Occam's razor would have been awfully useful to town. lol

THIS!!!!! ^ ^ ^ ^

@TG - remember when I said "We are doing exactly what Tommy wants us to do?"

Yeah.

I remember, but at that point I was doing it on purpose to use you to try and stay alive.

By the way, what are your thoughts about the whole "snakes rustling" thing with my commentary on how townies react?

I'm trying to find a balance between beating the grass and logic casing.  I definitely would have handled you differently on D2.   I had moved off you and was actually casing others (I believe Clov and Nyn actually!) but your vote pulled me back in.  It seemed so desperate.

With the doc thing, I actually thought you were trying to get the doc to out.  I was hoping my response was enough to make them think I was the doc.  I was right, but you still died because they figured I would protect myself.  Scumbads.

I also should have just kept on with Tommy on D4 instead of backing off.  The hilarious joke was that I kept ruling out Tommy/Clov because "no one would be that stupid" - which was actually smart or lucky, I still haven't figured out.

My apologies.  Should have just stayed with my gut...you have an interesting game...I enjoyed the game.

@Mynd : what I mean is that if you make a bad case town should react more strongly so the "OMG SO BAD" reactions you're looking for aren't scum tells, they are town tells.

@Nyn : Re: the word wary. It had nothing to do with the word wary specifically, it had to do with the fact that the sentence showed that you knew I was town. No townie would ever know another person is town.

NB was basically correct the whole time but lacks rhetoric and I out blah blah'd him

True...you have more followers on this site...I lacked the rhetoric/moral authority to secure your lynch this game...oh well...still this game was won when Darthe fake claimed the result on Drunk Tank...gave scum more intel than town...this allowed your quick hammer to work...I should have stuck to my guns on the coordination...timing too perfect.

Also, too many people use meta here instead of just using the voting patterns and obvious town play to find scum.

I mean, what was Darthe trying to accomplish with the fake result...trip up scum...it works...or should have...scum turns the table (well done btw)...and then uses commentary/meta to ensure neither of you two were lynched.  Go figure.

Town deserved to lose.

Lol basically. Outside looking in, this is what I saw.

Unfortunately, it doesn't count if you can't explain it.  Not directed solely at him, just my general thoughts on mafia.

Ahhh...but it was explained...some just used meta and commentary to suggest that you two weren't dumb enough to try this...meta forgiveness at its best.

Like I said, it wasn't directed at you.  I just don't like when people say "I think <player> is scum" D1 with no reason, doesn't address it again the rest of the game, and then flips out postgame because nobody listened to them.  Not nearly as big of an issue here as other places in my experience.

Didn't suggest you were directing that at me...you both played well...unfortunately, the latest cumulative DM style of play...is expecting players to clear themselves with commentary or using meta to scum hunt...I find that approach easy for scum to manipulate...I think that's what happened in this game.

I learned some very good lessons this game.  Thanks for opening my eyes.

Funny you say that NB  because I imagine DM as one of the only places where meta often is NOT the deciding factor behind a lynch.

I thought to myself "wow Mynd is way out of his scum range isn't he? How do I push him?" but nobody else seemed to mind...

Maybe I have been MIA too long...too small a sample size...

I'm glad that everyone really enjoyed this game. Looking from the sidelines, I agree with one line made in the beginning, that it's full of players who find it tough to figure out. And I'm glad everyone enjoyed trying to do it.

The move too stupid for smart players became the smart move.

Yeah, I totally get that.  A toned down, more logical version of that is what would be more effective.  A someone decent case without so much ranting and raving but more logical questioning would be better.

I think one part that hurts my town game is when I draw conclusions for the reader instead of letting the reader draw their own.
