Sorry, I might be able to pop on during lunch today or if I have any down time, otherwise I'll be on tonight when I get home. Yesterday ended up being really busy for me. 

 

I don't understand why Hallia would want to shoot Tina, I can kind of see why she's mentioning Lazy and Pral. Right now, until she can actually explain herself, I'm moving her to my willing to lynch pile. Currently that is Hallia and Lazy. I need to reread Pral again concerning EOD, but I really wasn't getting the best of feelings from him yesterday.

A scum watcher would watch themselves for that very reason, Des. To find town PRs.

 

However, I think the fact that Dice revealed his result makes me believe he is not scum. If he was scum, why would he announce Des as PR and instead he could have taken him out in the night.

 

Not so at all, amigo. I literally just finished a game where I tried to give someone the benefit of the doubt over something like this, calling out a potential PR on thread, and he turned out to be mafia. Not saying this makes Dice mafia, but I wouldn't say it clears him either.

 

 

Yeah, it definitely wouldn't clear him. Though I am having a hard time trying to understand Dice's play as a scum.

 

For example, Dice voted Cory yesterday, an hour or so before the deadline and before going to sleep. He knew he wasn't going to come online and it was not probable that COry was going to get lynched that day. So, why would he vote him as scum?  I know it was a bit early to know if there were enough people online to let a lynch go through, but it being a weekend, there was always a good chance that the lynch may not go through. I think the scum knew that. So, if Dice was scum, what would have been the point of that vote? To not bring attention to himself?

 

Of course, one logical conclusion to this is is that Dice and me could be both scum. But, I know my alignment and know that this is not a possible conclusion. Hence my read based on the above.

 

Talking of which, I think the game can be nearly solved by either confirming my alignment by investigation or killing me off. Once it is confirmed that I am town, Day 1 train on me is a storehouse of information. You take out the known towns or suspected towns like Nyn, Thane and you end up with five names - RTE, Hallia, Cory, Leelou and BFG - and I am sure at least 2 of them are scum. For reasons mentioned yesterday, I will start off with RTE or Hallia myself.

You guys say I dont play. I have tried answering to posts against me but this is often a few (5 to 10) pages after what is said and noone then comes back to me. Noone talks to me about it. You just ignore my post till you start running dry on other topics and then bam hit me up for a bit when I am unavailable and then jump off like a rabbit in heat. But whatevs. Not like its important right.

Now, on to something I noticed. You guys were all keen to accept Thane as the vig town killer. Why? Just because that list was posted a few posts before. To me that looks dodgy as hell and I still dont trust Thane and those that are happy with him are a bit smelly to me too. I mean hey, he could have read that post and been, hmmm Town Vig killer. That fits. There is also the Serial Killer and Jack of all trades in the list. And they dont seem to be very "Townie". It was too quick. Too easy. If you say, but his play was all happy happy joy joy before that. Well boo hoo people can hide and lie.

Maybe it has to do with the fact that there was no counter claim. Agreed that there may not be a town vig at all. But, if Thane was scum, he wouldn't know that. So, claiming a vig would be a risk and unnecessary at this point. Especially since vig is one of the more common roles here, there is a good probability that it will be included in the setup.

 

There is also this tone thing which is what Cory based him as town, i think. But, yeah, more of the former.

Take a look at page 84. Csarmi posts a list of possible roles in this game (not all gonna be there but if its in the game its from that list right). 2 hours after this Thane "claims" his Vig Town killer role from that list. Could be he is legit. Could be he isnt. I am surprised noone else thought of this though. I mean hey there are multiple possibilities around. Doesnt matter about Counter Claim or whatever. I dont doubt he has a NK. What I doubt is him being Proven town. I mean seriously that list contains 3 possible killers. Vig town, Serial Killer (3rd Party) and Jack of all trades which offers a few different possible powers (this also doesnt specify town but is likely to be). So just think about it. Actually think about it dont skim and go, meh lazy is not being very lazy. He is offering something up. He must be dodgy cause there are no jokes. Lets kill him.

Thane could technically by a wolf JOAT but claiming vig would risk being CC'd - same if he were SK.

Even though I'm not sure I'm buying it, I'd think there would be a smaller chance to have both a vig and a SK in the same basic game. So, for a SK to claim vig would be more or less safe, no?

 

Even less buying it is Lazys FOS on everyone who accepted the claim. Even though I can sympathize with the fact that no, he is not a PROVEN town vig just because he hasn't been cc'd - I think it's a stretch to point your finger at people who accepts an uncountered claim. It's the same with every claim - it's very rarely 100%. He might even be scum fake-claiming, and there is a real vig out there who won't rise to the bait and out himself. But this early in the game, I don't see that much to gain fake-claiming town vig? What would be the gain at this point?

Lazy: i could not post sooner, even if i wanted to do so, because DM is blocked at my work. I read the notifications, but that's it.

 

I took a big chance outing myself as the vig, seeing i'm a prime NK target now. If i could have, i wouldn't have claimed so soon D2, but i thought it was the only way to not speedlynch me.

Thane - don't let your shot on Clov make you doubt your instincts. It's okay for you to listen to suggestions, but ultimately make the choice for your own reasons. Scum has just as much influence on the thread as town does, so not all advice will be given with the best interests in mind.

 

What I think is more important irt Lazy is the subject he has picked for his talking point. We don't have a ton of content from him but he chooses to attack a WIFOM-inducing topic like the classic Vig/SK debate? That's what I am weirded out by.

I haven't seen anything to make me feel like she is town - so she's high up on the list for me. Going to see X-men now, but I'll ISO her when I get back to see her posts in context and take a stand on her train building up.

I'm really struggling to read Lazy too. I appretiate the jokes, but seems very selective where he puts his attention.

 

Also want to hear more from Verb. Not a big fan of Verb in the background here. 

 

Speaking of, just had a look at the post-count. Cory has 100 posts more than number two, which is Nyn. I'm struggling to catch up here!
