EDIT: Seriously though, if somebody here is more familiar with your game than me, I don't know who it would be - Despot, maybe?  I know damn good and well you're not afraid to get volatile when you need to be, but your back-and-forth with PSU (and friends) and then Tommy are the only times I can recall you getting that defeatist "F this, I'm going to play shuffleboard with that midget in the broom closet" attitude. 

 

Like I said, I've been pretty satisfied with your chances to be town from early in the game.  95% of the game you've played exactly how I've come to expect from you, and it's not like you've been on a recent mafia streak.  However, if you're going to make it about you and Des - another player I feel pretty good about being town - when I think we have a pretty good chance at finding scum, you'll either need to work to convince me it should be HIM we're lynching and not you.

And don't expect me to dispute whether or not Hulk Hogan would be in the game. If you don't think the hands down most famous wrestler of all time is in the game and that he'd be anything other than Legend-Aligned, that's the opinion you have.

 

I've done it already, over and over, but logic doesn't ****ing work here. I don't care, I'm going to go play on VS and DragonMount from now on, have yourself a ball this game. So much wasted effort for no reason besides an inactive player with a **** incorrect result and it's flushed down the toilet.

Ray, you're better than me at twisting this, so I shouldn't even bother. You want to continue to call me a child, say that I'm faking things, say that Town!Cory wouldn't care about two pages of people ****ting around about whether-or-not-Cory-can-play-Mafia instead of playing the game and would just be smooth and relaxed about it after the large deal of drama and near collapse of Mafia here (which is mostly because "Cory killed Mafia" if the last few games are to be gone by), go ahead. I'm an emotional player as much as a logical one; I've always been able to use this well. I have no idea why you decided to immediately attack my "emotional response" early in the game - because I trolled Montecore Day 3 in POG and you decided "that's a scumtell!" despite the fact that you know, I'm sort of "that unstable guy" around this Forum and probably for good reason (apology to everyone I've told to go **** themselves to this point).

Park your vote on me and leave it there, honestly. I'd feel better if you got @ me in a real way rather than to continue to snipe me , ignore my posts and then not only call me out for "not contribution" but enabling everyone else to proceed with this narrative.

Feels like WWE all over again when I'm being cast in a narrative, which is probably the intent of all the people who like seeing volatile Cory for lulz.

I'm apparently the whining ***** of the game, which is fine if that's how I'm to be portrayed. That's not how I see it, but how often do you and I see eye-to-eye in Mafia games?

Game one, he was mafia.  Game two, he wasn't town.  To his credit, he was a tertiary faction with an independent win condition that could (and ultimately, that DID) win with town.  He's not wrong when he said he played very well that game, and he absolutely was a factor in Town - the real Town - pulling out the victory (though MVP went elsewhere, IIRC :P <3 u bro).  That said, they did not HAVE to win with town and were under no real obligation to do so.

 

When I read his recent posts towards Des, it reminded me of how he kind very agitated and seemingly lost interest.  Similarly, look at the first post.  As mafia, without an overwhelming amount of votes - though he was receiving pressure - he went ahead and character claimed.  He did NOT role claim.  Same thing happened here - threw out the Arthur Dent claim, refrained from stating the role.  Interestingly enough, Hulk Hogan was NOT in the game but a safe claim provided by the game mod.  I don't know if Csarmi would hand those out, but I always question the likeliness of a game moderator giving a player a free pass (e.g., I can't fathom how Arthur would be scum, so it's seemingly a lock clear get-out-of-jail free card).

This is an entirely different argument but arguing I wasn't town in Blood Bowl is idiotic. I had the town wincon and a second one that was ultimatelt pro-town and did nothing but play a pro-town game.

 

If my meta is I get madder as Mafia lynch me and find out my alignment. Hell in my last game on 2+2 I was the town vig and I hardclaimed and ragequitted because Mets kept sniping me for no reason.

I am using my head.  About twelve hours ago, YOU decided today's lynch ought to come down to you and him.  This seems like a Monk-level overaction to...what?  Him saying you shouldn't be trusted if Thane comes up scum?  Here's what I'm working with in that regards:

 

1) Despot has made a logical case for Thane being scum.  Your case for Thane being town isn't horribad, but to say he's one of the most obvious townies at this juncture seems largely unfounded to me.  I don't think I'm alone in that stance.

2) I was reading Thane as likely scum long before Despot cased him.  Knowing another quality player who I think is town has a read that matches mine gives me some satisfaction there.  It doesn't confirm my suspicions, but it at least suggests I'm not out in left field by myself.

3) Despot suggests you shouldn't be trusted if Thane flips scum.  That might be a bit of a stretch, but I can understand where he's coming from - given how I feel about Thane, combined with your argument for him being town not exactly wowing me, I would have to at least question if you might have some allegiance there.

4) You basically gave us the option of lynching you, or lynching somebody else I believe to be town.  Not a good thing, regardless of the reasons.

5) Rather than try to drag you down at you/advocate that people lynch you to satisfy your thunderdome request, Des immediately tries to rehash his argument on Thane and goes as far as to say you're not the scummiest candidate today and gives you the option of being town.

 

That's enough to convince me that lynching Despot isn't an option worth exploring at this point.  Combine that with my opinion of how you normally approach Mafia (the game, not the alignment) and how you're acting here, and I know where my vote would go between the two of you. 

 

With that established, I'm not overlooking how you've played prior to the last 12 hours.  I'm not going to lie and claim you're lock scum, or even close to it - you've done some decent work this game.  I'm not going to disregard all of that.  I don't see how ANYBODY can think you're obvious town at this stage either though.

As for Thane, go read Once Upon A Time. He's a new player, he plays scummy and doesn't have the most linear thought process and he's lynchbait. He looks much more relaxed this game than Mass Effect where he played up his own confusion and tried to hide whenever possible

I read about his first three paragraphs and I'm legit done with this. He says I mishandled my clearing of Leelou - first problem is I NEVER CLEARED LEELOU. I said she was > rand to be villa because her snap vote on Tina for drawing attention to herself was more likely to come from a villager. She's been in my green pile (see: light villager) for that and that she seems to be paying attention (ie the vig post that apparently came "after I cleared Leelou")

 

What blows my goddamn mind about this is that Des keeps crying about how I'm not clearing him, says I'm mishandling Leelou for clearing her WHEN THEY HAVE BEEN RIGHT GODDAMN NEXT TO EACHOTHER ON MY LIGHT VILLA LIST

Because I don't know what I'm supposed to do with that.  If you said "no, he's making sense, I need to re-read to figure out who I actually want to lynch" or "No, I overreacted" I didn't need to go back and point out why I'd be voting you over him.
