I love how Leelou and Verbal walk all seasoned mafia style claiming that they can't ever be read.

I asked her what the hell she meant by this. Unless I missed it, I don't think she ever replied. It seemed seriously random. I was referring to her attitude and got a totally unrelated response. My criticism had nothing to do with her read on me so I didn't understand her response. A clarification on this reaction would still be welcome, btw. I'm not liking the fact that you avoided responding to is either.

 

 

I think I missed it. I wasn't really saying that people should never have a read on me, but not this early. Especially since I've mostly been spammy and wasn't really into the game yet. It was more just an offhanded comment to your town lean on me already.

 

I'll go looking tomorrow, but I don't recall Nyn asking you for an opinion on her so I'm still not sure what this is in response to?

I reread Leelou's first 12-13 pages or so and I figured out what I was saying

 

Her posts are almost entirely offtopic, but it was her response to Clov about Thane/Des that made sense in my head

Nobody was really talking about Thane or Des and while Thane's intro start (and current posting) makes him probably one of the more obvious villagers so far I get her idea that he seemed a little unnatural. I think he was more relieved to not draw Mafia, but that's just ol Coryspambot talking

 

Des... well, I'm worried any game where me and Des have not been on the same page, but we've been not on the same page before as town and we've been on the same page before as town-mafia so I'm not going to say it's alignment-indicative

ie, she scopes and says "I'll have a good read on Verbal" - when asked for snap reads on two players she'd shoot she mentions two players who have not been acting "normal" in my mind, so it felt like she was actually LOOKING for things rather than out of flow in the thread

 

I'm really not too sure what to think of her after that, but her wagon seems lazy and I'd guess she is town more often than not. A lot of players have been extra abrasive this game and I would think it's not really game relevant. Leelou getting paranoid about being townread is also probably villager vital signs, especially when it comes from a player like me who shoots from the hip and is probably someone you don't want to get on the bad side of in a Mafia game

The reason why dice is tough to read though is often he has a lot of r/l reasons to "lurk" so it's hard to say that's part of some sort of meta.

You've played a few games with me recently and in each I'm fairly consistent on when I post. BST at the moment, can't post at work, am often out evenings. Some nights I can post before I go out, others when I get back. Some days I can post before work, but most days I'm lazy and stay in bes too long...

my concern with leelou is her telling us to watch mish for a post restriction. She seemed to know something others didn't. Who else knows things others dont?? Mafia thats who. I hadn't noticed mish doing anything to hint at one so that pinged me.

 

Re BFG?? asking why leelou and not AJ or Verb?  Cause she is the one who stood out to me and i dont even remember them doing it.

 

back to Tina. Role fishing?  only if you call using dynamite fishing. I was pretty blatant about it. There was a bit of talk about you liking marvin or having a post restriction. I have no idea who the main charachters are as, as said earlier, I dont remember the book. Hence I asked flat out to get rid of wifom. Notice I gave you options regarding marvin. Some of them would allow you to not claim, eg i love marvin. I also didnt ask you to claim if you were someone else.

 

Is there something about this theme that makes people think there is likely to be more post restrictions then normal? cause its been bought up a bit and imo prs arnt all that common on DM.

Yeah, I'm not really feeling your response. She was posting in theme, which two other posters were doing and they were both pointed out before. I didn't see anyone else doing it and I wasn't FoSing her for it.

Sorry for my absence tonight yall. Was trying to soak up as much of the Spurs win as possible!

 

 

I'm caught up but I did so a bit disjointedly. Might try to run through again to look for more specifics, but until then I'll just SOC from what I can remember:

 

BFG most likely aint town. Meta read, but her wot's are completely off. She'll wot as town or scum, but as town her wots are filled with questions and her looking for small things others may have missed. As scum she'll just sheep stuff others have said and respond to OT stuff a lot. This meta is extremely reliable btw- I have correctly read her the past ~5 games I've been in with her. I'll respond to her stuff towards me specifically if I get the chance. Suffice it to say however, that she has risen high on my scumdar since.

 

Seen enough from Cory to make me more comfortable with him being town, but I'm not a big fan of his opinion of me this game. He says we're not on the same page so that doesn't look good- and yet the stuff that we're not on the same page on... well he's the one that's wrong, not me. For instance we're not on the same page regarding Leelou. Well, his reasoning for thinking Leelou town (that she was interested in figuring things out) was already poked at and prodded by players other than me, and shown to pretty much not be true.

 

Cory, I'm town. I will also often have an unpopular opinion- but also I have a bit more experience with some of these players still so if we're not on the same page, you should maybe consider what that means for YOUR reads instead of thinking that I could be scum. If you ARE town as well Cory, stop trying to waffle or hedge on your read on me and friggin see me for the awesome townie I am. Or else don't, and try and come @ me. Leaving the door open to fos me later will only keep me from trusting you more this game, which means if you are town then we won't be able to accomplish as much together.

 

Let's see what else... Verbal looks strong town to me now. He's putting himself in the spotlight a lot more than he would like to as scum, and is being reasonable about trying to question others, isn't being opportunistic or sheepy.

 

So right now my power town circle is prob Clov, Verbal, and Nyn. I'm worried Nyn is a prime NK target tonight btw, since a lot of people have townread her so far, and I don't remember really anyone besides Leelou trying to fos her.

 

Speaking of Leelou, I still think she's scum. I didn't like Dice's bandwagon vote on her, and in general I'm not fond of Dice this game, but more importantly it seemed like Leelou was ducking for a while and letting others speak up for her or lead a train elsewhere instead of her defending herself or trying to scumhunt. I also don't feel she's properly explained some of the inconsistencies in her play this game.

 

Hallia is more on her scum meta than town btw. She's one to keep an eye out for as well.

 

I'd prob go with Leelou, BFG, Dice, Hallia, and I think I'm leaving someone off the list but meh, for top scum candidates right now. Tina iirc posted some fairly townieish looking posts earlier, she's not quite as suspect for me.

Oh, my townread on Lazy has gone down. Since being called townie by a few players, he has mainly just fluffed along and hasn't made any sincere attempts to scumhunt at all. Add to that BFG's townreading him because of his OP, and yeah he dun look as good anymore.

 

Oooh and that reminds me- RTE's OP (BFG parroted others on that as well). It didn't look good to me, and his recap was pretty meh as well, but I wanted to wait and see what else he posted before coming to a decision. RTE has a knack for looking extremely scummy as town, and he's often targeted for mislynches by scum when he is town.
