Idk, AJ is obvtown.  The suggestion and claim together were needless risks, even if slight, so it simply has no scum incentive.

Personally im leaning null for now, as it could be a deep scum play or it could be a info seeking towny play. I want more info before I decide which way. 

 

I don't think AJ is the type to pull that play, especially not so early.  The timing spews him as town so I am going to roll with my read.

Do you have any good reason to not character claim?  The only one I can think of is if we have a cop that is a disney cop or a doc that is a disney doc but I doubt it.  Too thematically biased if we did.  

 

 

Not any other than a general dislike for pointless claim-fests D1. And also general dislike for "weeeeeeell if you don't wanna claim you got something to hide". I got nothing to hide, but a consensus on "yeah let's all just claim" kind of defies the point of having secret characters, and with the overwhelming possibilities of disney characters out there it's not very likely two people will claim the same character - so I don't see the point, and believe focusing on gameplay is the more pro-town course of action.

 

Characters are for flavor in theme games.  Claims are for transparency and to see if we can catch people in slips.  Distastful, maybe.  Practical?  God yes.  

 

 

But on the other hand though - now that you've read the OP, I think we should all focus on playing an elegant, tasteful game - get us some nice points and catch the scum

They are doing a Star Wars - Game of Thrones mash-up next year. Lots of droid incest.

Nah, wasn't deflecting, I do mean it. First of all, the fun of this game is playing it, not winning it. And especially with this set-up, it should be an incentive to play an elegant game, working hard and doing the "grunt work", finding the scum. Then "distasteful but oh so practical" shouldn't be our route.

 

Think of it, town won't get any points for saying "Oi! Lets all claim, lolz". 

 

Scum can get loads for coming up with inventive fake claims and delivering them. 

 

So yeah, in all earnest, I think it's the wrong tree to bark at. 

 

Doesn't mean I think nobody should, but it shouldn't be towns strategy D1.

Id figure in a no role game though, with nothing to set people apart, if one person was going to get a main char we all would have. Afterall theres plenty of chars to go around.

It's about running.  People who ran track would jump from their platform before the gun was fired to signal go sometimes.  They called it jumping the gun.  To be clear was that a character reveal?
