I didn't get that Vos was asking for a deadline to determine how/when he should vote. I think he was just asking if there was a deadline, simple as that. That whole angle seems a little overblown to me.

 

I didn't realize that post of Vos's was a case either; it just read to me as a biased summation of Darthe's actions - maybe 'biased' is the wrong word, but I think your case would be more effective, Vos, if you presented clear arguments instead of your own interpretation of events. Because right now I'm not clear on what your case on him is.

AJ is first to suggest everyone claims. 

Lenlo refuses.

AJ claims Fantasy, says he doesn't know the character but describes the picture

Verb asks if AJ just claimed scum, has failed to explain this so far

Len starts to get some votes on him, acts very happy about it

Darthe pegs Len as scum for being forced, saying its a limited pool of Disney character to take from

   (When there is already one character from Pagemaster(?) claimed, that no-one really seem to know)

Darthe points out the page has alot more pageviews then replies, and claim scum is lurking

Darthe agrees claiming ain't gonna help - still pushes the point to other players. 

Mish bribes the mod with black lillies. 

Darthe clears AJ for being the first to character claim for no apparent reason.

Darthe claims either Len or Verb is scum, after one post where Len doesn't agree AJ is cleared Darthe unvotes, "liking his responses"

Darthe gets slightly aggrivated when I try to get the talk away from claim-fest-ing, calling it deflecting.

I see what you're saying now, but I think there could be other (more innocent) reasons for connecting those two things. However, I will wait to see what Vos says before expounding on those reasons.

Ok, obviously I need to clarify a few things here. 

 

The deadline-thing:

Still don't get why that has been blown out of proportions here. It was a "speaking of votes... I haven't seen a deadline, do we have one?". That Womb is using this to steer a freight-train is funny. 

 

The case-thing:

Not sure if I'm guilty of being unclear here, or if I'm being led around. I posted my catch-up post where I emphasized things that for some reason stood out to me. This led me to place my first vote on D1. This is D1 just over the weekend we're talking about it here, so the overdramatization of my vote, I don't get. 

 

This is where I'm feeling comfortable placing my vote at this point, and I stand by that. Votes are also there to be discussed, which for some reason Darthe doesn't want, picking it apart calling it an attack on his character and starting a train on me since he doesn't agree with my vote on him. 

 

I'll get back to some specific questions. If anything is still unclear feel free to prod.

You claimed that you had made a case on Darthe.  Your words, not mine.  So did you case Darthe or not?  You seem to be trying to have it both ways here.  In the first part of your post you imply that your catchup post shouldn't be given the level of scrutiny that a case is given.  In the last part, you imply that me treating your "case" as a case is wrong.

 

As for your question about deadline, it was scummy and I have pointed out why.  Continuing to act like it isn't scummy will not fly.  You asked about deadline extremely early into D1 immediately after expressing ambivalence about a vote.  This shows that you were waiting for the game to move rather than trying to get it moving yourself.  That is anti-town.

It's superscummy because in my eyes only mafia benefits from an early mass claim. The mafia don't have fake claims, we know that. They'll need to find their own. So both AJ's mass claim idea and Len's fishing that only secondary characters are involved stood out to me. The whole idea benefits the mafia way more than it does town. And the reactions it was getting, "It's a too risky move for mafia to make at this point, AJ is town" didn't help one bit. It seemed calculated to make people think that.

If you want to read it as scum, be my guest, but I'm honestly not sure what you're hoping to gain from prodding me about it. You apparently have made up your mind of what my motives where, and anything else—as you say—will not fly. 

 

And re: case or no-case - we're slowly moving into semantics here. I've laid out the reason for my vote. Call it a case, call it a hunch, I don't care, it really doesn't matter to me. It can be treated as a basis for my vote.
