Tsuki isn't even really a scum read, I just have a lot of villagers and he's in the POE

 

Maybe I am misclearing someone, I will need to reread. I'm honestly not SUPER confident in any villager ATM besides maybe Darthe and even then that's an emotional read because a lot of his content doesn't make a great deal of sense to me

 

The major issue is I have very little to work off of - most people have been hard-defending other players and not really explaining it.

I'l re-look at EOD and the Clov train.

 

Pral, some of this might be because you missed The Red Wedding, the last game that was run, which had a lot of feels and involved Tommy playing a really Town!Tom game for two phases (until I got NKed) and then basically fooling town into lynch obvitown every phase after despite me and AJ (we were a hydra) having the game just about solved as cop with two red checks. Big dramatic game that was an extreme amount of frustration for a lot of players due to the last handful of townies being most inactives/people unable to keep up the game thread and just listening to Tommy.

 

I also think it's why Amega was mad at me when this game began, as I didn't talk too favorably about the scum group

See, that is exactly why I don't have good vibes on you. I somewhat agree with your point about looking at people who cleared Tommy easily. But, Tommy wasn't the only town flip yesterday. Clov was too.

 

I don't think a town Cory would ignore such an important detail when he is analyzing the day's play. You have been focusing too much on the former and  too less on the latter. Which I don't think is accidental. 

 

Regarding Red Wedding, yes, I followed that game in the end stage and I felt what was happening. Do you think that is what happened in this game too on Day 1 - people just listening to Tommy?

You basically completely ignored his whole flip till now,not  even mentioning it when you were giving your basic thoughts. I don't really remember much of Clov this game. Tommy cased him saying he was playing exactly to his scum meta and Tommy has caught people doing stuff like this before and Kaylee also thought he was scum for voting without reasoning irt his FoS @ Hallia. Obviously I have Tommy!town Clov!town flips in my head on reread and I say things that are on the top of my mind before I analyze, but that was my reaction to Tommy's death - take it or leave it

 

I am being as transparent as possible ATM, and most of what bothers me about you is that you just seem to pop in and say things. IDK why that's "villagery", and you have a narrative that makes sense (Amega = easy mislynch = FoS people voting him) but 95% of your gameplay this game has been attempting to poke holes in a townie being as deliberate as possible yet you are actually even pushing anything

 

I want to look at everything today, but if you are going to case me make a REAL one and we'll see what people decide

Pral, I'm going to give you tips for casing me since I am your top read - you NEED to elaborate better and make something I can follow or else I am going to go full bore until you are hanging from the rafters

 

Off the top of my head I remember three things you've FoSed me for:

I had a post where I told villagers they needed to read the thread and stay involved and do villagery things mostly spread from the awful taste in my mouth after TRW

 

 

I'm getting pretty sick of DM towns.
 
It's the "WaFia" mentality of everyone act scummy and we'll just lynch annoying players.
 
IF YOU ARE TOWN, YOU HAVE TWO GOALS:
 
1) CLEAR YOURSELF AS TOWN (THROUGH EFFORT, GOOD ANALYSIS, WHATEVER)
2) LYNCH MAFIA
 
If you're FoSing somebody for doing #1 you are going to struggle to do #2

Not really getting good vibes on this early show of frustration by Cory. It is too early to get frustrated and because of that it seems fake - as if trying to get some town cred. Also, putting a bit of fear on newer players that they might mess up.

 

 

As you may know the reason I was not involved in this game for the three tweener days of Day 1 was because I was in the Champs game which was absurdly time-consuming. For shits and gigles, my first post, less than an hour into THAT game I made the following post:

 

 

I would like to remind every townie in the game (perhaps some additional motivation): town has never won a Champions game so far, and they have never even come close.

 

One of the major reasons for this is the numerous amounts of non-alignment indicative ego-battling that is going on. It turns out when you throw a handful of "strong" players together, they tend to policy lynch any way. Isn't that disgusting?

 

So, if you are a villager, make it goddamn obvious ASAP. Put the work it, read the game, reread the game, find inconsistencies and the people who are just rolling with the waves. The quicker we can get an intelligent, organized and concise town base the quicker we can POE the Mafia and get a massive head start.

 

If you try to get a player you don't "like the attitude of" who is a problitown, I will consider that a scumclaim.

 

If you decide you are too good to contribute, I will consider that a scumclaim.

There are plenty of people that understand my meta, the fact that I generally give more effort as town and am frequently frustrated with town's who don't put in any work.

 

So, question 1: why does me being frustrated make me Mafia?

 

why does me attempting to facilitate better townplay make me Mafia?

 

IIRC you FoSed Kaylee for voting Amega at some point saying the timing was bad. I asked you why your reads were conditional on a Town!Amega flip and I don't remember you ever replying.

Do you think Pral is outside of his wolf meta here? Several people say he's in line with his town game, and Tommy has played with him more than me, and he's really driving me up the wall Red-style considering he's like purposefully making it impossible for me to follow him.

Is Basel somehow town here? He's been softdefended by Darthe and Pral for being "obvitown", another thing I don't SEE AT ALL. Would Town!Darthe and Town!Pral both think this is Basel as town? Is Basel this absurdly useless as town? Would he treat Tommy as a wolf and then flip on him potentially being town after Tommy lead a mislynch Basel refused to take part in?

 

Can Amega fake being volatile as a wolf? I remember him fooling me in Mass Effect after Thane screwed up, he came in very reasonable and did good damage control. He's sort of flying off the handle here, which is making me think he's a villager.

 

There are so many players just hard defending players without any explanation that this is the sort of game I feel ROBBED without having strong meta reads and Darthe has been random and everyone else has been invisible.

I am bothered by how different you're playing here as opposed to Red Wedding. It's not a little bit different. It's a 180 different. You've gone from a lurky play to full blown loud play. I know that you said that you tend to change your style with every game. It's still a bit disconcerting to me. The last player I pointed out doing a 180 in play turned out being scum. So this makes me wary.

 

With that said, I do agree with tommy that most of the day you seemed like the obvious lynch. So right now I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt and keep observing your play.

Third, hold up there hombre. Haven't caught up yet. Was reading the thread for a while, but haven't at all for the past couple of days (been busy at work). Thank you for giving me some stuff to look out for while reading up tho.

 

Fwiw, I did skim over that, and well the only thing I can offer for now is regarding Basel- he does have the ability to look wolfy as hell as town. He is often pushed as a mislynch early on in games in fact because of this. Now, this doesn't mean that he'll look townie as a wolf. As a wolf he'll tend to look just as scummy, albeit likely less motivated/interested in the game thread.

 

You should never trust Darthe saying someone is "obvtown". The reasons he comes to that conclusion on people are often so tenuous and possibly even made up on the spot... and yet Darthe will believe in them 100% if he's town, even if he's 100% wrong. Pray won't usually clear someone unless they look townie to him. I'm more experienced with his town meta than his scum meta, but he tends to defend people more as town. I'll have to see his reasoning for why he thought Basel looked obviously townie.
