I should be read as town because I am town.  Yes, I fluff a lot (that's more null for me than anything.)  I should've gone with my gut on Tina, but I would much rather have us mislynch that not achieve one and get punished, so it was one of those things.  I'll not claim, well, because it's night and that's silly.  My absence from the first part of the game was noted beforehand, and I've certainly picked that up in my opinion.  I feel I engaged others, and was openminded to differing opinions.  Tina's viewing and our interaction doesn't hurt.

initially I wasn't happy with Tommy as a player because he admittedly didn't read threads wholly.  But now having done some games with him, I respect that he's amazingly good at picking up info from skimming across it.

It's just like anything else, repetition begets proficiency. Do you read every word in a textbook? I hope not, it's a huge waste of time. 

 

 

Nope, you're wrong here Tommy. The best scumhunters in the world require context, and for context you need to know EVERYTHING that has happened in thread. Missing an important event, reaction, or read, may cost you the game if it came down to an endgame decision.

Hallia, it may be an open-ended question, but I'd still like a paragraph or so on why you think you should be read as town in this game.

Finally, a solid scumtell from Tom.  You ask a reasonable question, state that you like the response (I don't hate = I like), then tag along with Lenlo's questions, and then finally change direction and criticize her response that you had just said you liked......because another player didn't like it.

 

You're going with the flow.  Tina was a good mislynch yesterday, meaning that you can step up and take the blame without it damning you.  You even poked me a little about it, asking me if I was excited about the lynch when Hallia unclaimed a bit at the end.  You were looking for somebody to lead the charge, and I was a top contender for that role.  When I balked a little, you took the charge based on what I just said - it was a good mislynch.

 

Add to that you tossing in your claim when it wasn't necessary, because you're planning to use the "scum would fake claim something important to stay alive" defense if you get pressure later.

Sorry, was busy last night on the occasion of me turning a bit older. Family time and all.

Anyway, caught up with the events last night and I should say that I am not surprised. No point going into the route of "See, I told you so" but the last minute rush never works. The silver lining is that we can work with what happened and I think it definitely brings us closer.

The last 4-5 hours before deadline was a bit tough to read, with a lot of people chipping in or tripping trying to get cleared. I could sense a feeling that the people were being led, from pushing people to see if they claim and when they did, move on to another target till the last minute rush to lynch someone.
 

 

Hey Dawn, you should move your vote. I don't think Darthe is a viable lynch today. Have either of Dice or Hallia been on your suspects list?

Yeah, I probably should, since I seem to be the only person with Darthe as a top suspect besides Despo...and he hasn't even voted yet.
 
I'd rather lynch Hallia than Dice, but I don't think that's that much of a possibility at this point so I think I will Vote Dice. He's been acting scummy lately. Might change this vote to Lenlo, though, but I think it's more likely Dice will get lynched.

 

This is an example of what I am talking about. Tommy is trying to slightly nudge Dawn on where she should vote, without explicitly saying it. At this point both me and Dice had parallel trains and neither had any claims to go with.

Dawn's response doesn't sound very convincing. One of the many "I had rather lynch someone else but I am voting him/her" kind of posts that many people gave.

Good catch by Verbal. In hindsight, now that we kind of know what Hallia was hinting, Verbal was quick to spot it. Feel to be legitimately scumhunting at this point.
 

I think it's her style that throws me, my initial vote on her was because I didn't have much else to go on at the time, my reads differed from hers and I was hoping to get some reaction.  
 
I can add more, but I don't know that it's wise to do so.

And, we get a vague response from Hally. I still feel that the reaction excuse is overused here and this is a perfect case of it.
 

 

Both Verbal and Tommy should get a time out. I could easily vote one of them if people want to join me.

I would lynch anyone in a heartbeat for saying this if they didn't have an incredibly provable claim to back it up.

 

Don't like this post by Darthe, again based on hindsight. At one point he says she has an "incredibly provable claim" and yet ends up as one of the persons voting her? Agreed that there were other stuff and deadline was close, but I don't agree with lynching just for the sake of deadline on an important claim like Tina's

Thats understandable. Probably why character claims arnt allowed, cause its obv which characters would be town and which not. If its just roles then you saw how many people didnt trust my claim for instance. Still leaves room for talking and convincing imo.

Also I like Darthes arguments more on Pral. I didnt notice/pay attention much to Pral so far this game so im having to base my read off of what others have said. Not the best of ideas but I dont have the time to do a full reread right now.

Lenlo basically does not give any reasons for voting me, much like Dice did. Both of them vote on "gut reads" close to the deadline. If not for their claims, I would have had both lenlo and dice as obvscums for the no-reason votes.

NVM.  Thought Leelou said noon today, rather than 5.  Gives us a few hours, so if anybody wants to discuss, I'm interested to hear why:
 
-we're lynching somebody whose main argument for them was "We should CFD on him", and "Lynching for Wagonments"
-everybody has felt the need to claim today, including two vanillas? (seems like a half-hearted attempt to clear themselves of being a vig target without doing work IMO)
-we're ignoring blatant pressing for role info.
-at least three people have said they're more comfortable lynching somebody else but still voted for Dice

 

I like the set of questions by Clov during the end-stages. Points out all the rush stage tactics that was happening in the thread - leading the town to vote vertain players, randomly voting without reasons, trying to rolefish and jump trains etc. Like verbal, also gives good vibes as a town observing what was blatantly happening.

His further argument with Tommy also reinforces the read on him.
 

Well, people could easily fake claim, so I'm not sure I trust all the claims.
And I might as well add to it. As you probably guessed, I'm vanilla.

I trust this claim more than the others. I believe this is the first ever game where Dawn is town and I don't think she will be baiting anyone with a vanilla claim. TOwn read on Dawn for this.

So, does Dice. This vote is not at all pro-town. Like I said before, if not for his claim, he is looking like an obvscum. I don't think his claim is fake though.
 

Verb, I would expect you to be super excited right now. Your #1 suspect is no longer being defended by vague claims and is apparently throwing in the towel. Looks super good to me. (If I was you.)

After this, with just 15 minutes left, there was no option but to leave it to a no lynch or lynch Tina. I still stand by my stance on no-lynch in this context because of the importance of the claim, but I understand that not everybody has that opinion.
