Yeah, it is pretty distinct but if you have to use a different type of wood go with whatever you like that provides a good aromatic and smokes well.  Something like applewood would be nice;

 

Well, funny that you ask about coffee.  A lot of people think it sounds crazy at first but a good coffee rub (obviously with other spices and sweet things) will cause your seasonings to sear onto the meat more quickly and add just the slightest aftertaste to your meat of the smell that you get when you walk into a restaurant while a french press is working its magic.  It is a great spice.

Eh, I can see how you could see it that way but I picked someone that was going to get killed anyways (they honestly had to since we couldn't confirm them) instead of risking people who could potentially vet themselves in other ways.  Honestly I see it as better play than we otherwise could have utelized the role for this late in the game.

Alright seeing as I havnt submitted yet and we have Ithis role reveal I have a question for the thread.

 

Do you want us to shoot or track tomorrow and if shoot who? Cause shooting WiFuM was the consensus before the reveal but now im not so sure.

I forgot you had that track actually... This late in the game it may be better if you stop vigging altogether and instead just track.  At most I would say vig one more person.

Definitely keep it quiet. I would still say shoot into VD or clarthe. You do what you think is best. I doubt that tracking Cory is really an option since Hallia has already said that she is blocking him. she hasn't recanted so tracking him would be waste of an action. 

 

I think that you would be better off shooting because I really think the mafia is going to kill you tonight. If you track and you die then we get nothing much out of your track now do we? That is making me a bit more curious about those suggesting that course of action.

 

You can shoot Cory too if you feel like it would be a good idea.

I actually agree with Ithi on this topic. I'm suspicious of anyone who is suddenly changing their mind about someone else just because of a role claim and especially during Night.

I think it's a crappy role that has the potential to stuff up other people's actions - so we have to try and make sure we hit Town. Although at least we don't have to worry about getting a false Town result from the Cop anymore.

 

It's why we didn't buy ES as being a Bodyguard to start with and why I thought they were bad bodyguards. Turin said we were complementary though so anyways.

 

We can't stop a kill - but we divert all other actions from our chosen target onto us.

We targeted RTL on N1 and Spliffinity on N2.

 

It sure is nice how you managed to find a role that could explain some of the choices that you have made in this game. Bravo.

I'd say shooting between WiFuM and Clarthe would be the best options. Fwiw if it was me making the call, I'd prob shoot Clarthe.

 

This is purely what my instincts are telling me however. Threadwise, Clarthe has a vetted role. Not vetted alignment obv, but something which at first glance seems less likely to be given to a scummie. However, after considering it longer, I don't think it's that crazy at all to think that Darthe could have gotten a role that lets him Execute AND Gladiate. Two scum roles that can control lynches is a bit OP, however ONE role that can do both, along with an Alien and a Backup seems like it could be balanced against what it looks like town has this game. After all, one thing I doubt RTL is lying about is the fact that they can Track instead of Kill if they want. So we already have one role that could choose between two different abilities to use.

 

But that's all justification for how I think their role could fit into this. The actual reason I would shoot them is I feel Darthe's tone has changed TREMENDOUSLY today compared with the rest of the game. Before today he has been ambivalent and sniped a lot, but ever since day broke he tried getting into a leadership position for town. This has carried on somewhat since he claimed and then activated their ability. I also feel Cloud has laid extremely low this game- normally his playstyle will always attract a lot of attention and even get him in heat often, this hasn't been the case this game. Darthe could have told him to back off his normal playstyle a bit for this game to attract less attention. For two of the most polarizing players on DM, they have gotten an extremely inordinate amount of pressure and attention this game.

 

As for WiFuM, Turin's play in aggregate has been terrible. He has fos'd everyone else but WiFuM MULTIPLE times. He has never really shown an attempt to use next level thinking in clearing players or changing his opinion on something, and has instead just displayed goldfish memory in fos'ing the most convenient target each time. For a while, I just thought he was having a terrible game cause... well I dunno why, but that Ithi looked more town. Eh... I dunno. Nothing particularly scummy jumps out from Ithi's play this game, besides what I pointed out before how she hasn't seemed as aggressive this game. Playing damage control for Turin could have disrupted this somewhat, but eh I'm not sure that's enough to explain it.

 

That being said, their claim... doesn't look as sketchballs as it should to me. They drew out their claim and acted all noble about it even tho were the situation reversed THEY would have been the ones getting irritated with the people not claiming, which pisses me off tremendously, but... Sidekick or w/e just seems too unusual to fake in this scenario. Not a very powerful role, not a very common fake scum roleclaim, not something which could have been supported by past flips or anything. The wifom here is that they're both obviously clever enough to pick a role that seemed to be less likely to be used as a fake claim, but yeah still.  I also don't like their martyr play in the night, it looked more like scum resigned to their fate to me.

 

Again, my gut is telling me Clarthe was the last scum we were looking for. If anyone WOULD try to "clear" themselves as scum with a gimmick, it would be Darthe. And activating a Gladiator ability to do so all of a sudden could easily be him doing that. And he did go along with my request to Gladiate SS pretty easily... his whole thing about reestablishing clears could have been him trying to look town and not look like he was going for the easy Gladiator challenge.

Agree on the potential for executioner/gladiator hybrid.  I like Ithi's claim better than Darthe's, honestly.

 

If you aren't sold 100% on shooting a certain hydra, then just holster.  Otherwise, go for it.
